Not only are you an amazing artist but you are also a good teacher. I love this piece so much. It reminds me of my mother. She loved French provincial style of furniture. Job very well done as usual 😃
I just love how passionate you are about painting. You are always so positive during your tutorials- you make people like me want to repaint everything in my house! Thanks for always being so awesome and having a beautiful personality.
What a great tutorial and the best tip! Takes the anxiety out of the process completely! You are my favorite furniture artist! I watch all your videos over and over.
I remember watching your videos when you first started out, you did not talk, I am so glad you took that leap of faith, I look forward to watching you paint because you make me smile through your love of what you do. 😊 I look forward to using your design transfer and stencils. You are amazing! Thank you.
I had the colour Antoinette laying around for months now. I was never sure what I was going to do with it. But you just gave me the right inspiration to use it. I love it so much better with the dark wax. It adds so much more character. Thanks, Kacha! ❤️
Thank you so much Kacha for this video! A few years ago, when I started using chalk paint…I watched Annie Sloan, over and over. As the years have gone by, all these artists out there have been doing such amazing things…all the different techniques…wonderful! But to just stay this simple…like Annie Sloan first taught is the most beautiful and timeless! To me…the dark wax aged look is just so authentic looking. Thank you for reminding me to just keep it simple. You are such a beautiful gift and teacher❤️❤️❤️
I love your furniture makeovers, as an amateur watercolor artist myself, I recognize that your makeovers are truly creative works of art. But this time I thought the end table was more beautiful before you added the dark wax. After you painted the table that lovely Antionette color and added the beautiful transfer, the table looked soft and feminine, modern, and up to date. I felt the dark wax gave the end table the same outdated feel of the original French provincial style, and in my opinion the dark wax made the table look dirty. Of course everyone has their own opinions and personal taste. I generally love everything you do, so I will be looking forward to your next work of furniture art.
One of my favorite pieces! Just gorgeous! Love the Antoinette, the gold, the dark wax for aging, and beautiful transfers! I want to make one like it! Thank you so much for all your lessons!
Beautiful! This piece has my name all over it, it looks so familiar. Oh, yes, I have two vintage vases that are the same pink with tiny flowers on them. That's it!
I have binged watch on the weekends, it's a good and bad thing, just when I made up my mind on what I want to do on a piece of furniture, I see something else Kacha does and change my mind, or buy more furniture lol!
Gracias Kacha!!
Kacha , Love this ❤️ little brioche! The pink is so perfect! Its true for you to encourage , someone new to start small and learn than go big! You are so right to build confidence first! Stopping the frustration that I had , done to myself! You are a wonderful teacher / instructor! I look forward to every new video. What is Kacha , up to this week? So excited! Thank you ❤️ for the encouragement! Debra
Kacha, I have to say how much I enjoy your channel. I’ve been binge watching the furniture transformations as well as your podcasts (podcast #5 made me so angry at the people who were so nasty and mean to you in the comments.) There are times even I’m a bit dubious regarding some of your projects, but that’s the beauty of art that folks seem to forget - we get the freedom to like what we want. That doesn’t mean we should shut down completely and refuse to learn something new. I like to think that, though I might not imagine myself doing something the way you have, there are still valuable lessons to be learned about colors, blending, textures, and so forth. Anyway, I wanted to comment and give you a little giggle by letting you know you’ve sunk into my brain quite literally. I was doing something the other day (can’t recall exactly what - age, ya know! 😂), and I recall thinking (a) I was getting super frustrated and then (b) suddenly hearing your cheerful voice saying, “Trust the process!!” There you were, right in the middle of whatever had me nearly in tears, encouraging me like you’ve encouraged so many others. It was awesome! Thank you so very much for sharing your talents with us!😊
Thank you, thank you, thank you Kacha. I lost my confidence a little bit, I think we all need to find a little bit of self belief at some time. This video was exactly what I needed! I loved the touch of gold, perfect (in my opinion). Also, thank you for your explanation about applying dark wax and the rationale as to why to apply a dark wax straight away. I bough some dark wax but have yet to use it! Why are we so scared of using it? I finished an antique end table - primed, painted with Louis Blue, added transfers, used clear wax and of course, some gold! I have been thinking (and thinking) about shading with dark wax, but I am so glad I saw your video,, because now I know I have left it too long. So, finally this piece is nearly finished and then I am going to paint some African pyramid drawers for my daughter's 30th Birthday and I WILL use dark wax - I promise!
I'm so glad i found you!! I've learned about not only great techniques, but also the confidence to go forward and allowing us to make mistakes! ps. glad I'm not the only one who loves gold!!
Like all the gents have been complimented on your art work. Your beauty is mesmerising may God continue to bless you and your family your work is second to none. Bottom line
!. Your hair is gorgeous. It's gotten so long! 2. That table is so sweet, so beautiful, so romantic, so Kacha! 3. You have ruined me. I had simple farmhouse in mind when I began watching furniture painting videos. You know, all white wash and a color I call Depression Green (not the illness, the period in American history: The Depression). I have never used gold on a single piece of furniture I've painted. Ever. Now? All I think about it gold, Kacha, gold, Kacha, goldgoldgold.😂 I am going to try and control myself and use gold in only one bedroom. I don't know if I will succeed in keeping it all in one room. In any case, there will be a LOT of gold. 4. Your remind me ZsaZsa Gabor in this video. 5.💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗❤❤❤❤❤
This little table has a very big elegant attitude. The colour suits it so well and I love the transfer, it looks like it was made for the piece. For just a second there i thought you weren't going to put any gold on it, but of course you did and it looked wonderful. If we wanted to age the gold that you used would we put the gold on before the aging wax or after and try and age it just where the gold is. Beautiful as always Kacha. Shirley from the UK.
Not only are you an amazing artist but you are also a good teacher. I love this piece so much. It reminds me of my mother. She loved French provincial style of furniture. Job very well done as usual 😃
Thank you Marla ❤️🙂
I don't understand how this super professional girl only has 301k followers? She deserves millions of followers... JUST WOW
As of 7/3/2024, she has 511K subscribers.
Very good advice Kacha. Start small, and when you feel more confident, work on a larger piece. Oh, and the table, VERY ROMANTIC!!!!
I just love how passionate you are about painting. You are always so positive during your tutorials- you make people like me want to repaint everything in my house! Thanks for always being so awesome and having a beautiful personality.
This piece is so you! Pretty, delicate, dynamic!
Beautiful and romantic! The transfer looks hand-painted and your gold is superb. Thank you for walking us through the process.🌸
I'm not usually a "pink" person, but this table came out beautifully. Great job (again!).😊
Magnifique, je t'avoue que j'étais septique avec ce transfert, ça fait un super look vintage. Le blanc te va super bien, tu rayonnes 😊
So beautiful as always!! Such talents. Thank you for sharing your techniques ❤
