Since I “can’t draw my way out of a paper bag,” I still can’t quite figure out what possessed me to buy this set in the first place. A testament to the power of seeing other people do things then stupidly thinking I can if I just have the right tools. 🤔🤣 Other than this cup, I’ve only used these for touching up bald spots in hydro-dip tumblers, which is helpful.
Thanks -- Have fun! The hardest part of the whole thing was figuring out the little set-up that let me hold the chisel point of each marker flat against the cup. There are probably much easier ways than what I ended up doing in the video - LOL!
This is sooooo cute! I love the colors and the fun cacti decals and water slide. How did I miss this? I like the use of the alcohol markers. The lines are so straight they appeal to my OCD. 😄
That was so clever and turned out sooo cute. Love it! Here's a weird thing that happened to me. I used the Plastidip Glossifier on a few items I had made and the last 2 jars I had used it on both peeled completely off. It didn't hurt the waterslide at all but was a bit of a shock that I had to pull the entire thing off 2 jars when they were dried and had already been through the oven heating process so now I'm not sure if I really need to go through that process. 🤔 Has it ever happened to you?
Thanks! Oh, that's weird, but I will say that I've never tried baking a waterslide onto anything. I've always used waterslides with resin over top, so there would be no peeling off. It's entirely possible that the Plastidip Glossifier doesn't like being baked. If you can get the waterslides to work without using it, that may just be easier (and will save some money if you don't need to use as much product). I realize the waterslides may be more fragile without the PG, but it might be worth testing. Maybe 3 layers of a clear acrylic spray will give you enough strength in the waterslide to get it onto your surface ok. Thanks for the info -- that's fascinating!!
So I'm not a hippy but I love the word "groovy"! I unfortunately missed all of the peace and love stuff by almost a decade 😕 Its still groovy anyway. 😉 Thank you for sharing! Be safe 🙂
The turner I used in this video is a recent purchase off Amazon that I got because it turns at 6 rpm vs all my other turners that turn at 2-3 rpm. For this particular method and the alcohol ink “waterfall/rain” method, faster spin seems to help. It looks like the exact one I use in this video is currently unavailable, but here’s a link to a similar turner: amzn.to/3m4nBRJ
No, and that’s one of the best things about printable vinyl - it does not have to be sealed! Print it out, let your cutting machine cut it out, then peel, stick, and resin. Done! Thank you for asking! I should have mentioned that in the video but totally forgot.
Turned out pretty cute! Love the cacti! ♥️👍🌵
Thank you! 😊
Perfect serape type cup!!! Thanks LS.. love your lines and how you dealt with the seams 🌵✌️

That’s just groovylicious!!! Word 😂
Love it! It needs a be bus! Lol
Love it! Do you mind me asking, what brand of turner do you use? I've been meaning to ask and keep forgetting. It looks like a really nice one.

Love the colors and your patience with making all those layers!
Thank you! It did take awhile, but the markers were doing most of the work for me - LOL!
Do you have to seal printable vinyl like you do waterseal?
