More often than not people tend to envy those who are fortunate to have chances. It wasn't the case of Rudy as he put his team above himself and gave everything to help them win. A true sportsman. One of the best sports movies ever made. Shows that human spirit and perseverence has no bounds 👌👌
I don't care how much was real or not, it was emotional and inspirational, and well worth the time! And that's for all "inspired by or based on" movies, don't dig for the truth because sometimes it's more bland than a little "Hollywood magic" Just let it do what it was meant to do
Or, you could have the movie follow the book. (obviously I am going with the "based on" part of your argument) There are so many great books out there that hollywood rips to shreds while making a movie from it. So no. Don't just go with it and let them do whatever they want. Demand that they stay true to the story. I can't even imagine why you are ok with them making a movie from a story and changing it. How about we make a movie about your life and I get to change anything I want about it? You good with that?
Why "troll" Rudy? What does that accomplish? Rudy should be admired for graduating from Notre Dame. Forget the football part. I know a good many college graduates ( and non-graduates) that would never/could never accomplish half as much. I don't care what Joe Montana might say here.....In fact, Joe Montana sounds un appreciative and entitled with his comments. If Joe had no "practice team" how would Notre Dame prepare for their football games? And we can all make mistakes in life but real men learn from their mistakes and make every attempt to do better.... I think that's the real essence of Rudy's story and life.

I got to ask that exact question to him. He was said the same thing; 90-92% with some theatrical enhancements. I really enjoyed out time.
