I honestly like them all, they are all unique in their own way. But we can all agree that every single one of them (not just stop-motion) is harder than it looks.
One of my personal favourite animation styles is that of Hilda. The same small number of colours used in each scene (like having Hilda's boots be the same colour as the rooftops) I find creates a calm aesthetic that fits the show's mood. The movement of the characters too is always flowing and pairs beautifully with the childlike wonder the world creates.
Man, I've gotta check out some of these films I love these video essays man, it's really fascinating Wall E is also my favourite Pixar film. That film inspired me so much as kid to want to create and it sends such a good message, probably still one of my favourite films to this day
@@BogBoyOfficial Yo, along the same vein as obscure and old animes with cool art styles that are really good, have you ever heard of the anime called "Ping Pong The Animation" It sounds so shit I know haha but trust me, it's such a heart warming and fun story, and the music and art is fantasticly characterful Would recommend
@@BogBoyOfficial No worries dude, hope you enjoy it It's great imho, one of those ones you feel compelled to tell people you've met on youtube to check out you know the sort! Genuinely one of my all time favourite animes (But I'm not the most avid watcher)
Attack on Titan's style is very cool however in the very beginning of the manga you can see how rusty around the edges the author was but now his drawings are on point, they are almost doing this with the show with the newer seasons looking sharper and I doubt it's just the budget May I mention an animation style I like. It's Monkey Punches' Lupin the 3rd. Specifically part 2. It's character design is delightful and iconic. I'm enjoying this series. Keep it up and keep safe
Very aesthetically pleasing video to sit down and watch, lovely visuals from many of my favourite animation styles with well thought-out commentary to go with, what more could you want? always love to hear about your animated movie and how it's progressing keep it up!
First time commenting here ! I'm also thinking about making an animation film (although more likely a short film in my case), and as a fellow animation fan, I could recommend some stuff ! As I am French, you might not have seen some of these ! Some are probably not in your style, but i think it's good to watch different things ! 1) Le Roi et l'oiseau, Paul Grimault : gorgeous film, credited to have inspired many Ghibli artists (and it's really obvious from watching the film) Gorgeous and surreal 2) Les triplettes de Belleville/L'illusioniste, Sylvain Chomet : again, french films. Their style probably influenced the Professor Layton video game series, and is very interesting in terms of character design (something that I find lacking in some anime films for instance) 3) The thief and the cobbler : The film sure has some issues as it was in production for 31 years, the making of is so so interesting. But definitely watch the visuals, they are absolutely insane EDIT 4) Prince et Princesses and Kirikou, by Michel Ocelot : again, French filmmaker. Both films have great use of colors and pattern, with Princes et Princesses being silhouette animations. I also think Disney is really worth studying, especially the concept arts from Marc Davis (who did a lot of work on Sleeping Beauty, and designed Maleficiet, Cruela Devil etc) and Mary Blair (Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Cinderella... very geometric style). Hope you like these suggestions !
I woke up last Sunday, saw your ds games video and was half expecting low quality due to your lack of subs. I apologize for that, because halfway through, i dropped a like and a sub, and after finishing, watched through several other videos on your channel. When i got up today and saw this video, I was excited, because now I associate you and your channel with quality, entertaining videos. Keep it up man, you’ve got great stuff and you definitely have a talent in this area. I haven’t even finished this one yet, but I’ve already dropped a like, and can tell that there’s been genuine care put into this video. You gained yourself a real fan, BogBoy. Keep up the good work!
so I have watched three of your videos today and I think you have earned my subscription. Apart from Ghibli movies (which are all breathtakingly beautiful) I also really like Tomm Moore animated movies (SOng of the Sea and Secret of the Celts) completly diffrent also very beautiful. I am a bit of a sucker for 2d Animation to be honest. So I will go now and watch more of your videos...
I really enjoyed the video! And will be taking notes for future cozy weekends in. If I may, I'd like to suggest one about those films/series which are a blend of 2D and 3D animation to varying degrees, as they can give us some very interesting impressions - Spiderverse of course, but also Klaus, Treasure Planet, Arcane... that would be really interesting! Maybe even mention the "flops" (in animation, not story) like Ajin hehe
My Top Favorite Animation Styles 1. Computer animation 2. Anime 3. Cel-shaded animation 4. Tradionally animation 5. My Little Pony: The Movie (2017) and The Lion Guard-like Flash animation
Anime is all the same? Whoever says that really doesn’t understand fiction works at ALL. Anime can provide literally everything a live-action movie or show can, if not even crazier, better and more extravagant.
I honestly like them all, they are all unique in their own way. But we can all agree that every single one of them (not just stop-motion) is harder than it looks.
I actually really like your videos, they're very calming, and I don't know why
thankyou!

That show is my personal favorite show on Netflix.
You didn't include the beautiful animation style of Shrek the third

Bro, I love your videos I'm so excited to see what you'll do in the future.

Lets not forget the masterpiece that is Berserk that carries the story with its animation style
Please tell me this is sarcasm
Great video man, keep it up!
thanks man :)
This is an incredible video! The quality and editing pieces the whole vid together into something like a documentary.
thanks man

Great video. It’s been really frustrating finding the style of my film, I know it’s going to to be 2D, but that’s pretty much it...
