My husband died last week, aged just 50. He loved Buckethead - his music spoke to his soul and I think he listened to him every day. I am listening to this now, planning his funeral at which Buckethead music will feature strongly. We live in the UK and Mark was able to see Buckethead play live in New York last September. It made his year. My broken heart goes out to anyone else listening to this right now who has lost someone.
So sorry for your loss. On many occasions I've heard a beautiful track from Buckethead and thought... "this is what I would want played at my funeral". Padmasana was the first one that gave me that thought and is probably as appropriate a choice as any. I'd be interested to know which song(s) were chosen for his.
I hear you. I learned a week ago a benign tumor is living rent free in my head. The chance that I survive surgical removal is 99.5% if that tumor is removed in a timely manner. The chance I will lose the hearing in my left ear is 100%. So I'm listening for two right now and hoping for a life in mono. If not ua-cam.com/video/Qo9Hs4NkSkA/v-deo.html Strength
This is truly an Emotional track to play at his Funeral to bring forth those tears to release some of the grief and in turn bring some relief of the situation ..
❤from Omaha Nebraska, USA. So sorry for your loss. You can be absolutely certain this music spoke to his soul. It still does and will, forever. Having the chance to see a live performance is possibly a once in lifetime experience and Im glad he was present. Best wishes and Be well✌🏽
This song somehow reminds me of one particular day. The day I got a call from sister in law. Crying she was, while telling me that my brother just got into an accident and the doctor couldn't save his life. I drove 180km to where they lived. I bawled my eyes out the whole trip, childhood memories of us growing up together as siblings kept flashing into my mind. I cried but at the same time those memories made me smile too. Just like this song. I love you bro!! We'll meet again in the clouds.
I've listened to almost everything this man has put out and "Mount Shasta" and The Left Panel" brought me to tears. No other musican has ever done that to me. That alone says it all I suppose. I love all my fellow Bucketheaders! We shall keep on keeping on! Thank you Mr. Buckethead
I'm a grandpa 4 times over, and Brian (aka;Buckethead), I believe was sent here by the Good Lord to play for all of us. And I thank GOD with all my heart for the beautiful gift of sharing Brian with us !
I rather thank Brian himself instead of just god. You can thank god if you like, but at least put in the effort to thank the player also. It shows a bit more respect to the player himself and the humongous amount of effort he put in honing his skill.
noname5666 yes, but I also thank the creator who made the individual with his hard work ethic and incredible playing! Both parties get full credit for the awesome work!
*Umm....Then I'm also assuming that you've never listened to John Mayer, Jimmy Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Lil Wayne (and he only just started playing the guitar like this, like this good, only just a few years ago tho too, but is also already shredding the axe like Hendricks and everybody else does tho as well) - So check out 'Leather So Soft' and a lot of his other songs from his Rock album 'Rebirth' tbh.*
I've been listening to music of all kinds for all of my 72 years. Like Nietzsche said, "Without music, life would be a mistake". So many artists have touched my soul over the years. Just saw Judy Collins a few days ago and at 85 her voice is still amazing. But this Buckethead fellow is something else entirely. Just discovered him about 2 years ago and now I listen to him almost daily, but this particular song "Mt. Shasta" is the most inspiring and uplifting song I've ever heard. I have tickets to see him on June 16th in Rocklin, CA and I can hardly wait. The anticipation reminds me of how my siblings and I felt on Christmas eve back in the day. He's a savant, a healer, and a musical genius all rolled into one humble package.
You're a sage Mr. Juarez...rightly observed...this is the platform where we meet like minded people...godspeed to you...may you be in good health and wishing the best to your family
*Bro I had to rewind this whole song/vid like a thousand times just because of you, to look and listen to all of the parts of where his vocals should be and also all of the spots on this whole song of wherever it is that he's also supposed to sing or talk a lot tho too. But I guess that his vocals just got turned down so low that this whole song instead now sounds pretty much just like an instrumental or whatever tho too.*
Buckethead is my therapy. And someone I can count on daily. It might say I'm lonely, but it actually tells me I'm not, in some strange, amazing way. Thank you Brian.

I’m an old musician trapped in a salesman’s body and have always had a love of listening and also playing guitar since my early 20’s. After I heard Crumple it blew my mind I traded and sold most of my Ibanez shred guitars and bought a high end custom shop Gibson Les Paul class 5 modern and old holy grail Les Paul!. No whammy bar don’t miss it and with new Mesa Triple rectifier amp closer to the The Buckethead sound and playability that Gibson’s are known for. Thanks to Buckethead I’m born again on guitar... 🎸🛸🤸🏼♂️
