You can reuse the copper washers but you must heat them red hot then let them cool to remove the work hardening...other wise they can crack when trying to recompress...just an fyi...
Hello, I want to ask what is the minimum thickness of the clutch plates on the Honda trx 300? My clutch is slipping, I bought a new centrifugal clutch, and the problem remains - I shift gears and the ATV does not move. I already tried the adjustment screw and it didn't help... Greetings from Slovakia
in the stock primary gear there is a little bushing type thing inside of the gear itself that u have take out on the back side and install it on the gear reduction primary thats why it wobbles u can see it at 8:24 the copper looking piece with holes in it im not rlly sure if u did it but i had to do it on mine also at 14:21 those pins above the reverse lever need to be removed they will destroy your engine very nice build tho keep up the good work!!
I have a Honda 300 4x4 with 54 gear reduction and when i shift it to third gear it seems to slip and doesn’t have any power. Any suggestion to fixing that

Always keep your thumb on the kick start shaft while taking the cover off, saves you from having to re clock the kick start spring
Watching this build series makes me want to find an old Honda and build one!
Can’t wait to see you in Toronto this month!!!
Thanks for these videos. Been great to learn about the old fourtraxs
Glad you like them!
My local Honda shop has never heard of a gear reduction..I wouldn't mind one on my 2016 420 Honda..
Very good video..
Great walk through video...
I recognize that one way bearing at 15:45, looks similar to a Rotax 912 starter sprag clutch.

So when you removed the little reverse actuator did you modify it? Or did you take it out and now you don’t have reverse?
Is there a specific order that the clutch plates and friction plates have to go into the basket
if i already have the gear reduction parts what is a rough estimate of how much it will be to get it installed

How big are your tires?
30s but even on flat ground seems to slip until you left off the throttle
Your supposed to leave the washer out
those are remnants of the molding process.
That reduction came from me not Chris Clark
Anthony Carter so you make gear reductions ?
