それでも打ち水や夕涼みなどをしたくなるこの季節。
いつか「ねぶた祭り」に行ってみたいな〜なんて思いながらも
私達の日常、日々の生活を動画でお届けします。
ほぼ毎日、近所の公園で川遊びをしたり、虫取り、自転車に乗ったり。
それでもこの豊かな自然に本当に本当に感謝です。
日々同じ光景かもしれないけれど、
一瞬の景色とそこで感じた想いをいつもまでも大切にしていきたいな。
一人の人として、親として奮闘している姿を季語と共に感じてもらえたら嬉しいです。

From July 27th to August 1st in the Gregorian calendar,
it is the“Earth is fluid, air is humid” period of the seventy-two microseasons.
It's the time when suffocating heat wraps around everything,
making it unbearably humid.
Though it's almost needless to say, the days are consistently
"clear," and even if it's cooler up in the mountains,
this season still makes us want to splash water or enjoy the evening coolness.
While I daydream about someday going to the "Nebuta Festival," for now,
I'll share our daily life and routine through videos.
Almost every day, we play in the nearby park,
frolic in the river, catch bugs, and ride bicycles.
Even so, I am truly, truly grateful for this bountiful nature.
Although the scenery might seem the same every day,
I want to cherish the momentary views and
the emotions felt there for as long as I live.
We would be happy if you could feel the Japanese summer
and its seasonal words along with our daily life.

Hi Shiba, Koji & Isshin! 🙋🏻♂ Isshin is so very lucky! He has two dads who spend lots of quality time with him every day teaching him how to appreciate all the wonders of life and nature that are right around him, right where he is!! Teaching Isshin to notice, to appreciate and really see all the little miracles, all of the life right in his own "backyard" is such a precious gift the two of you are giving to him at an early age! Many children are taught to need constant high intensity stimulation in order to "have fun" or to "enjoy" their days and their lives. Instead of learning to appreciate, respect and enjoy the rich beauty of nature all around them right where they are, they need all kinds of electronic and other big toys or gadget type high stimulation experiences; they have to "go far away" to have fun. Their parents are always taking them to far away places in order to have "fun" which teaches them that where they are is not good enough. But Isshin will know that the wonder of life is right in his own yard; that happiness and love can be fully experienced right in his own home, in his own family, with his 2 Dads. What a precious gift this is!! There is not another planet in the Universe that we can find with water and all of the abundance of life that exists right here on earth!! So every little creature, every little leaf and blade of grass, every drop of water in the "same park" is truly a miracle! You are giving your son the greatest gift, which is to be able to recognize and treasure the great miracles of existence and nature right in his own "backyard", and that nothing is more valuable than sharing it all with the people he loves. I've never seen a happier little boy - how fortunate, how wonderful a childhood he has! Thich Nhat Hanh said, "Some people say that it is a miracle to walk on water. But I say the real miracle is to be able to walk peacefully upon the earth". Love you all!! 🙆🏻♀💖 🦋🌟

I agree completely with @cindygollus7311's words. I grew up in rural Missouri with a river as one border of our family's property. My sibilings and I spent so many hours playing in the water, investigating the stones and creatures living among them, searching out plants along the riverside and climbing on wild grape vines within reach. Those hours and experiences are priceless. There is no way to replace them. So glad your family is able to share these happy days, learning lessons and making such valuable memories! All the best! ❤👍

I don't know if it's good or bad news, but the experiment of being parents never ends. At first because they are small children, then because they are teenagers, and then because they are adults.
