"Shousho" marks the end of the rainy season and the start of summer, which is my favorite season. And it cleared up just at the right time. On July 7th, the day of “Tanabata”, we decorated for Tanabata as a family for the first time. Please take a look!
“Tanabata is a traditional Japanese festival celebrated on July 7th. It originated from a legend about two lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi, who were separated by the Milky Way and could only meet once a year on this special day. During Tanabata, people write their wishes on colorful strips of paper called "tanzaku" and hang them on bamboo branches. These bamboo decorations, adorned with paper streamers and ornaments, create a festive atmosphere. The festival is also known for its vibrant parades, fireworks displays, and various cultural events. Tanabata is a time for making wishes, celebrating love, and enjoying the lively festivities.”
This time, we have a long video that many people have requested!
It's about 10 minutes not so long,,,LOL. But... We also tried to change the atmosphere a bit from the previous videos. It's a video filled with a bunch of "firsts," like my first attempt at adding text, subtitles, and conversations.
We are not used to it, so it might be hard to read, but we hope you can feel the atmosphere of this season. And we would be happy if you could get to know our family better.

I teared watching this because I'm longing for this kind of happiness. I can't remember the last time I smile and feeling the happiness of a family, since my father died in 2018. Now I'm 35, single, taking care of my sick mother whose having a terminal stage of cancer. My mother only have a few months left, and she is the pillar of my world. I can't imagine how would it be when she's gone. It's gonna be a lonely world for me. I work as a doctor, saving people lives everyday and seeing death on daily basis and because of my job, my emotion and heart became empty. I felt useless because I cannot cure my mother illnesses, and it's like I work for nothing. Sometimes I feel like I don't have any purpose to live and even if I die, nobody gonna miss me. It's hard to live everyday knowing I'm gonna be alone sooner or later and knowing I'm not gonna experience this kind of happiness...
