    Learn Mushti yuddha in Varanasi . Varanasi is city famous for Mushti yuddha (also called Muki yuddha today) is Ancient Indian boxing somewhat like modern day Muay Thai , it uses strikes -Punches , kicks , Elbow , knee Headbutts and somewhat grappling .

      It's the english who banned the Indian martial artist from practicing or teaching the art for more than 200 years of the reign as a result many types of indian martial arts died with those masters and no one was able to learn from them to have the knowledge to pass it on to the future generations.

      Because of British all Our Heritage,including Martial Arts died. In North India Sastra Vidya died,in South India Kalarioayatgu,In Maharashtra Mardani Khel in NorthEast India Thang-ta ..and These Are Only A Few main Style out of many. Every State had Their Own Martial art...from Chaau in Orissa and Jharkhand..to Laathi and All.
      Now they lare alive only as Dance forms and Demonstrations in Choreographed version..and Their Lathal Techniques and Skills have been lost.. including many Weapons.
      Britain has never asked For pardon...like Germany Did towards G ..ooz!

    It's so interesting that around the world people all had systems for stickfighting. There are manuals on various forms of European quarterstaff. Bo and gun staff in Japan and China. etc. I'm sure there are lost systems that also existed among the native American peoples. A stick was a weapon any man could afford, and importantly historically a weapon that was never banned by governments. Swords for instance were banned in many European/Asian cities, often you had to check your sword in with a town guard, and only could it be retrieved again when you left. However walking staffs were allowed.

      Very true! Walking staffs are the only ‘weapon’ allowed on an airplane. So it’s still true for today!

      @Chaudhry Vikrant ror lol where did i demean anything and where does marathas rajputs south indians history come into play just criticizing the modern version of the martial art as just a way to con people in the name of world s first martial art which do not employ proper indian weapons let alone techniques and btw not a rajput and do not care who defeated whom at the end of day most of them were fighting for selfish reasons expect like maharana pratap, shivaji maharaj, rao chandrasen who were fighting for people and motherland and the problem with indian people is we do not adapt main reason beng not critisizing and finding defects and improving it simple example is of maharana sanga his frontal charges in war were one of the best in central asia at that time but what happened got defeated at the hands of babur due to poor tactics but did we learn read about wars martial art you will get it if not try to chill and dont get offended so easily😀

    It dosen't work very well against wild Jaguars I've seen videos of them try to hit the big cats with those sticks and it dosen't end very well for the man with the stick.
