Awesome job on the backing plates. I do exactly the same process on rusted out motorcycle gastanks (except for the "crud castrator" 🙂. Big thanks for an entertaining video!!
Suggestion: I see that you do have a john deere tractor sittin in the back corner. Use your head, save your hair, use fitch shampoo! Take your tractor loader bucket and raisd the frame up in the air when taking the rear end out and moving it to the side. Then move your bracket underneath the frame as you wish to do. Let the hydraulics of the tracter lend you a helping hand since your doing this by yourself. Safty has no quitting time.

Man! That acid worked well! You could also try using electrolisis to remove rust in hard to get to places if you've got a battery charger, kiddy pool/barrel or bucket and some washing soda.

Obviously for your nickname and accent you are from New England? Maybe New Hampshire? And I wonder if you have farming in your background. Did you work as a mechanic? Just curious. How about those big "8"-shaped rubber helper springs? Ever see those on anything else? I never found any "new" ones for sale. Fortunately it'll carry a lot of weight before they start to touch and compress.

Looks like the frame won that round of Jenga! Rust castration tools look the biz. 💯 on the quick dry no sense letting any flash rush get a foothold
Even with the tools it's still gonna take a lot of time and work, not looking forward to it so much. lol

Yes, the acid works well. I think i will have to fire up the sandblaster unfortunately, it's certainly not my favorite piece of equipment.
