This is my favorite part of this movie, when Julius gets pushed and has to stop and process it. It takes him a while to realize that in being pushed, he's not being attacked, he's being meaningfully engaged!, And then he pushes back! And that's something people need, is to be meaningfully engaged in things that are important to them.
Julius gets him back in the locker scene afterwards. Julius stopped him from murdering Blue for the Momma joke.
Well said. I've never played football with pads so I remember that it caught me off guard when he gave Julius a shove. Just teammates psyching each other up. :)
Wonderfully said; if people now a days realize that with a diverse culture, we are very strong. Very. It’s why America is the world greatest power. We need to think on those terms.
Im about to do that to a police officer LEFT SIDE !!!
@@lastone1236 Haha yeah, good luck with that. See ya in 5 years for assault!
"Attitude reflects leadership"
Captain.
@@whodey1278 Yeah, I tried that with my GM when I worked at a Wendy’s in my teen years. Was not a fan.
Great line
Captain 👨🏿✈️
I tell that to my bosses when ever they say I'm slacking off lol
this is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen.
ItzTank not only do I think this is one of the best movies ever because of what they overcame during those times, it also perfectly captures the American motto of "e pluribus unum" of many one. Which was only words not our true creed as a country. I'm hard pressed to think of a movie that could make me feel more patriotic. How everyone evolved, and pulled together though the tough times but still stayed unbeaten.
It’s a great football movie
I agree. One of the best movies out there.
I agree.... seeing this scene brings me to tears every time!
Not really, is cheesy af.
The whole world needs to watch this movie to remind ourselves that we can all get along and come together. Especially in times like today.
Came here for that too.
Or mandatory military servicec
Watched this movie today and I agree
You damn right
Yeah come together for concussions. Let's all get brain damage together, yeah the boys
Did we just become best friends?!?!?!?!?
Yep!!!!!
Do you wanna do karate in the garage?!?!?!?
Yep!!!!
Jeffrey Hunt Is that from Family Guy?
Nah its from step brothers
Jeffrey Hunt I lohgt
ROTFL Jeffrey Hunt Wins the Internet!
Brilliant! LOL
LEFT SIDE! STRONG SIDE! AAAHHHH!!! Favorite scene of the movie.
+Jniya Dozier if you are the qb looking at the defense then yes but the way you look at defense positions is facing the QB so left side is where the strong safety lines up vs right side being free safety. left side is strong side
Tim Burke no left side is blind side... they just didn’t say it because it didn’t rhyme...
Yesssss
On god that made me cry.
Gerry and Julius’ friendship was the highlight of the movie I love everything about the way they chose to bring it out
I get the chills everytime
same dude.
Brandon Joseph same
Same
Agreed.
I wish someone could give me a reason why
Their leadership and friendship "makes it okay" for everyone else on the team to cross those same boundaries and work together. This moment is the catalyst for all of their wins and success.
That is so well said.
the way Gerry got on Rays ass😂...& then Denzel's smirk sells it
Denzel is such a master at his craft. The facial expressions, smirks, tone always fits perfectly. Will Paton (Yoast) does a great job as well. His face says “Okay Coach. I see what you’re doing here.” Love this scene.
I love it how he calls out Ray finally after Julius tells him that that white lineman aren't blocking for him. I find that to be really inspiring. Gerry is abandoning the corrupt morals he was raised on and learning to accept people for who they are and not how they look. Then you see Julius like confused and happy Gerry actually said something. And how the coaches just hold back and you see Boone smiling after Gerry calls out Ray. The STrong side-left side was great. But I like the first part of this scene because we really see that Gerry cares about all his men regardless of race on the team when he is standing up to who was his good friend that refused to accept integration. I really like that part.
Well said
That's the beauty of sportsmanship
Agreed, underrated part of the movie.
downtoearth x well said and very true this scene is also much deeper than that. Along with a racist attitude Gary also made it a point to introduce himself to Coach Boone as the only All American he had on the team as if that's all that mattered. Ray wasn't bothered about his selfish play either telling Gary I don't care about missing blocks I'll still get playing time. And Julius seeing the other players doing this he basically told Gary ur not being a good captain and leader, you're a hypocrite. So i'm just going to do the same as everyone else and "get mine" as he said. But when Gary called out Ray, Julius suddenly came to the realization that they had all been previously acting the same. Selfishly, which was the same and definitely not in a good way.
Not only do I think this is one of the best movies ever because of what they overcame during those times, it also perfectly captures the American motto of "e pluribus unum" of many one. Which was only words not our true creed as a country. I'm hard pressed to think of a movie that could make me feel more patriotic. How everyone evolved, and pulled together though the tough times but still stayed unbeaten.
I love how he says "Left side!" With a push and the biggest smile ever!
Julius and Gerry were the two players that had to come together the most, they were the most influential of their respective colours and had the respect of not only their players but their coaches too. The moment they came together was when the entire team did.
"Ooh boy you gone need a new haircut"
My favorite part and then how he laughs afterward ☺️
That was a savage burn to ray.
Savage threat. Didn't even need to curse.
@@kellymcphaul2793"Haha, let's play fellas"
That look Denzel is giving at 0:30 says it all. He's looking like there getting the bigger picture.
He probably should've said "What you fail to realize is"
I love the look exchanged between Boone and Yoast here.
Boone: “You see that shit?!”
Yoast: “I sure as hell did…”
Denzel is the boss
Left side! [pause for 5 seconds]: Strong side! Left side! Strong side! Left side! Strong side! Left side! Strong side! Left side! Strong side! AAAAHHHH!!! Priceless moment in breaking barriers ever!
Gary: “Left side!....(*nods* yea)......" lol
B Humble I fucking love it
And this was the start of such a beautiful friendship! 😊
Everyone in the world needs this movie right now.
This movie has to be one of the best
Definitely one of the best football movies ever made.
Okay gonna have to go watch this movie again for the 20th time. Loved this film.
20th time? You gotta pump them numbers up, those are rookie numbers.
Denzel's face is priceless after that
Pretty sure we can agree that this is one of the most heartwarming moments in cinematic history
Makes my allergies act up and my eyes water...
Nah man its the onions they always around lol
+slowpoke96z28 I admit I cried the first time I saw this scene. And I am a MAN over 40, not some kid. LoL.
+Van PastorMan Age has no bearing on feelings, the earlier you realise that th better, we're just People.:P
PuroYO
I was in a small way quoting the football coach at Oklahoma State who was defending a player the press was getting on for dropping a pass. Mike Gundy is his name I believe. He said, "Don't go after him, come after me. I am a MAN. I'm 40.
Me too 18 years later lol
I love this part so much it makes me cry, when Gerry pushes Julius does and little nod because hes being playfully nice to him and Julius is at first confused but then realizes hes been engaged into the scene is so heart warming.
I've seen this movie probably 50+ times and I still get goosebumps from this scene.
When Bertier and Campbell finally put aside their differences and realize they're family now.
Gerry's laugh is everything
If everyone got along like this with no racial bullshit, the world would be a better place
+SQuA KingoftheAfro I couldn't have said it better brotha.
Yes but since we constantly have different opinions, views, etc the differences and adversity plus conflicts constantly find a way to divide persons.
There is the awfulness of making everything a issue and so much overreaction to things that shouldn't be blown up.
Wow Obama said a woman is attractive that's a non story, so is a celebrity having consensual sex with a adult, etc.
***** Im saying people always find differences as a reason to react negatively. They can't accept even when expressed kindly that other persons will view things differently.
People fear what they don't understand and as a result its going to help for misunderstandings to prosper along with other negative things.
Wow unless I missed something God isn't inferring with humans decisions. Bad actions and good actions are used by humans, and God doesn't prevent those as that would be interfering with free will.
Your damn right it would lol
The absolute best thing the media could do right now would be for every single channel on tv and every cable news channel to play this movie at the same time so that all of America watched it. Men who have been in war or a sports locker room know what it takes to get along. You sweat and bleed together and you realize what it's all about.
It's sad that it takes Blood and Lost for us Men to realize we All the SAME. We just want to have Good times with friends and Family while making a Decent living. Sad that Governments Rune that shit so Easily for Each Nation🙏
The real Julius Campbell passed away a couple days ago =( hopefully him and Gerry reunited up there

That look Denzel gives after the whistle blow is classic denzel.

This is one of the only few movies I have actually shed a few tears
Their friendship is the best part of this movie and no one can change my mind on that.
Love the way he says left side it's adorable and I love this movie almost had me crying in the middle of class cause of my history teacher
If this scene was a wife I would marry her just like that. That's how much I love this scene!
The coaches face was priceless
This is what movies need to be showing! Brothers coming together, disregard race, we live in the same country! Let's work together.
That haircut line gets me every time 😂
that moment when Bertier hits campell and nods his head and then theirs an awkward moment where you don't know what will happen...gets me every time
Racism is so dumb. One of the best moments of my life was when my teammate hit a walk-off single and won us a playoff game. me and him jumped into each other’s arms. I didn’t look at him as black, I looked at him as my teammate and more importantly my friend!
That's kinda sus the way you described it
@@Luuth right? Like, was he racist before he hit a home run? Then after he finally saw him as a fellow human? Maybe he only respects black people who hit home runs in which case, I regret to inform you sir, you're still a racist. 😅
I'm glad that you and your friend had the chance to experience that moment. I'm glad that you guys won.
❤ much respect to the both of you.
Lmao
I love how Julius and Bertier are both alpha males that were able to put their differences aside to become best friends
We went as a FOOTBALL TEAM TOGETHER to the theatre to watch this movie and I was 7-8 years old sitting next to my black best friend/teammate and we learned what our friendship could truly be. Never forget that day!
One of the greatest scenes in any movie ever..The moment the boys bond is so inspiring..
I love the subtle way you see how after Gerry dug into Ray and was a leader Julius became and team player and instead of zooming past his man he pulled in and spun out. God I love this movie so much
Who’s watching is 2020 during the protests? Love y’all
Love u too! From Minnesota
Watching from Texas
You mean the riots? Too bad BLM are making race relations worse.
Grey Cryoclasm you missed the point
Things have changed to the opposite today
For a minute I got so into this I thought I was watching the movie, once the clip was finished I thought the movie paused. Back to reality. lol
Ope there goes gravity
why i love this scene?
Burteir snapped on his friend NOT bc of the Address... but bc Julius said "you dont say shit to the other guys and they wont protect Rev for nothing" since then.... Burteir went "if im a leader i need to start acting like a damn leader
"I swear to God I'm gonna hit you so hard.By the time you come to OOOOOOO BOY. You're gunna need a new haircut, you understand me? Hehehaaaaa LETS PLAY FELLAS."
Might be the bes line in the whole movie
Hypes me up every time!!!!!! I swear America Needs To Watch This Movie Again!!!!!!
One of my favorite parts of this scene isn't even that memorable but it is so powerful. It's when Yoast and Boone exchange glances. They see their guys finally coming together like a team for once. Something neither one thought was feasible. I think that's pretty powerful that it wasn't something they coached, it was organic.
indisputably one of the best scenes from a movie ever, ever; and that is NOT a matter of opinion bruh that's facts bruh
One of the greatest scenes ever not even just for sports fans but everyone we can be together.
This scene brings a tear to my eyes. Great movie!

This movie should play on every channel and be the only thing available to watch on Facebook for a week.
I'm not a very big fan of football, but I LOVE "REMEMBER THE TITANS".
sports really removes tha racism on most people ..

what was that laugh

This is how you come together. Period!
Black boys & white boys were losing their life in Vietnam every day. Bleeding together, becoming family together in the tragedy of war. Football is just a much smaller similar example of it. Sweating, suffering, bonding, winning together. Becoming family. I watched this as a young man for the first time & now I still can't not cry watching even clips of it. Remember The Titans! 🤙💪🙏 God bless
RIP COACH BOONE 💔
