Ring Fit Adventure is legitimately a PERFECT game. It’s my second most played game on Switch and there is actually nothing about it that I dislike or would change. It’s an absolutely brilliant concept and works flawlessly. If you haven’t picked it up, I STRONGLY recommend it. It’s a lot of fun and is a great workout.

My one complaint, and I cannot emphasize this enough, my *one complaint*, is that it never got updated to add more exercises to do. Like, it would have been great to add more workout options.
Ring Fit Adventure pretty much encapsulates the reason why Nintendo is so special to me. No other company would make something so stupid with so much effort put into it. But I’ve sunk months of my life into it, it’s genuinely an incredible package. And it’s gotten me back into working out!
@@arcanehornet Maybe stupid is the wrong word to use. I can’t help but find it a bit silly, though, just how much effort they put into this fitness game. This game has way more effort put into it than any of the mario sports games on switch, or nintendo switch sports. It almost seems like they put as much effort into it as they would a big Splatoon game.

Gotta respect Nintendo for still looking out for the casuals that gave them success in the mid to late 2000s, despite how you feel about them quality wise.
It's a huge market. Casual games sell extremely well and are so cheap to make, they'd be stupid not to cater to it. The problem comes from going so hard after it that it ends up hurting the reputation of your console. Things like the switch, ds, 3ds had the right balance. The Wii I think was hurt by the power and control scheme issues that the third parties, unable to just throw their hardcore/normal multiplat games on it, decided to just flood it with way too much of casual stuff instead.
The hard core gamer discourse of the mid/late 2000s when it came to the Wii was, in retrospect, extremely cringe-worthy, embarrassing, and deserves to be mocked for all its worth.
Man nintendo switch sports had so much potential in my opinion. Even if they stuck with their decision to change the Mii art style, i think they should have still had all the games located with Wuhu island. A fully explorable Wuhu island would be so nostalgic.
@@batmanbud2 The single player aspect mogs Switch Sports offering, it is honestly shocking how bad Switch Sports will be once the online dies, and from someone that doesn't like online, Switch Sports can interest me in the slightest... but then again, the Wii U eshop is dead and Sports Club requires an eshop download even with the disc, now that's a gaming disgrace.
I feel like they could have ported the Wiii Sports games to the switch pretty easily instead of releasing a new series entirely. It would have been soo much better in my opinion and it wouldn't have got too much hate unlike Nintendo Switch Sports.
The worst part of Switch Sports is that it doesn't let you play local multiplayer undocked, what grinds my gears is that it doesn't let you play simultaneously in bowling , which is ok whatever, but you'd think they'd at least give you the option to play in turns right? nope
I randomly got into the Touch Generation games earlier this year and I kinda wish they would return. Having a line specifically for casuals is cool and would work well on the Switch

@@digiornopizza3469Hey, they did do the Labo VR Kit. Joking aside, I personally think VR just has a barrier of entry issue. How expensive it is (for an actually GOOD set) and the PC foreknowledge required to actually set up and use means it's a hard sell to anyone but the hardcore PC gamers who can also afford it (and the open space required). Not to mention how they keep trying to make VR games exclusive to one or another headset when they all interface the same damn way. Once it's just more convenient then I think we'll start seeing it considered as something other than a novelty.

In particular, Dots and Boxes, Hit and Blow (their version of Mastermind) and Backgammon has given me hours of pleasant distraction. I actually legitimately played ring fit as part of my fitness, it’s incredibly fun for about the first month I’d say, but then they keep throwing the same running routes, activities, battles, over and over again to the point where it becomes grating in a way where silly characters saying something slightly different in each world can’t help it. Stings too because the core of this game is great, I just hope if they ever do a new ring fit game they make it more varied to encourage me and many others to come back lol
The problem with Nintendo Labo is that it gave me the feeling that I HAD to buy them all because they were some kind of DLC/extra content to other games, which is just the worst for game collectors who want their games to be ‘complete’

Ring Fit Adventure is probably the best 'casual' game. It really is a great workout and I really loved the light RPG elements to it. Definitely a lot better than WiiFit.
didn't think id ever hear anyone perfectly encapsulate how i feel about endless ocean luminous anytime soon, but yeah it is 100% a not very good game that im very happy got its chance to exist
I remember when Nintendo Labor VR was announced so quietly that most people learned of its existence through some guy comparing the elephant contraption to Vah Ruta.
My senior year of high school, we did a weekend overnight trip to this nice resort in the mountains. It was honestly really nice, we all got to hang out as friends one last time before college. I remember we tried to watch the Wolf of Wall Street on Cable and the entire TV was blurred for like an entire minute, so we switched to Family Feud and the question was "name a cereal that works as a double entendre" and we all had a laugh at how weird that was. Anyway, this was Spring 2018 so a few people brought their Switches, but there weren't many multiplayer games beyond like, Mario Kart and Pokken Tournament so we also were playing PC games and mobile games and stuff. Anyway the reason I bring this up is because in the dinner hall, there was a massive projector and a dance floor, and the first night, someone put Just Dance for Wii on the projector. And even though there were only 4 Wii remotes, like 30 people ran down to participate in Just Dance. I bring this up as a way to say that like, I can imagine if they had Jackbox or Everybody 1-2-Switch on the TV, maybe we could get 100 people to join on their phones. But that very specifically has to be a scenario where there's 200 teenagers away from home, on vacation, and about to graduate high school. Like they need to be in this mindset of "I'm on top of the world, let's have some dumb fun" and it helps if they're young enough that they're not worried about rent or their kids or anything like that.
One huge problem with Labo is that there's no easy way to take the creations apart. Once built, they take up far too much room. I ended up getting rid of mine due to needing the space. Also, I'm baffled that the Switch Fit Ring hasn't been used as an alternate control method in other games. Mario Kart where you have to hold it in to accelerate would be amusing.
Clubhouse Games on the Switch is really fun because most of the games have multiple difficulties where there is a different person you go against in each difficulty and when you beat all the difficulties for a game you get a golden trophy icon by the game also one of the difficulties is this old lady and it kind of reminds me of Matt from Wii Sports where you were working your way up to be able to challenge and defeat a certain person in the game
I will defend Nintendo Switch Sports until the day I die. And I did grow up with Resort, but I genuinely love Switch Sports. I like the Sportsmates, the LOADS of customization, the music and visuals, and most of all, the games and gameplay are PEAK. The only thing I wish was that there was more variety within each Sport Mode.
I’m definitely one of those people who were anti-Wii when it came out. Even to this day, I own every Nintendo home and portable console aside from the Wii and Wii-U. That motion control stuff was the exact opposite of what I was looking for in games.
I really suggest playing Nintendo Labo kits 3 and 4. The VR kit is kinda a "jack of all trades" thing like the Variety kit but way better at being a master of some. The Vehicle kit is built mostly around one specific game mode where you can explore an open world, switching seamlessly between the vehicles thanks to the holder design.
Ring Fit Adventure actually my mom to buy it to play on my Switch. We both played it once and now it's collecting dust xD It was fun tho, I wouldn't mind going back to it in the future
Ring Fit Adventure is the first RPG I’ve played (I haven’t played very many, to be fair) where it actually feels like I’m actually progressing, rather than just leveling up due to the grind. You get as much out as you put into it, and your character (you) actually is getting stronger and more capable.
Im both in love and mixed on switch sports, behind all the stank its still a fun and additive time but theres a sense of insecurity behind it The sports are fun, but they removed practically all the side modes. The item customization is cool, but only sportmates can fully take advantage of them and theyre so bland. The location is stunning, but we barely get to explore it for ourselves Its a fun time i cant say is the full package. Even something as little as giving the cpu sportsmates names and dialogue couldve gone a long way
I've finished the main story of Ring fit just a few weeks ago. Such a good game, I don't look like that buff dragon yet but I feel a lot healthier/slightly stronger. I'm even debating going to the gym now.
As someome who bought all 4 labo sets and doesnt like building (i had my brothers who do like to build do that). I will say that the VR and vehichle ones are genuinely fun to play. Tho they do not hold enough to ever convince me to play it again but for what i did play i really did enjoy it thoroughly
Ring fit adventure honestly kind of saved me during the pandemic. As a chubby out-of-shape guy who struggles to go to the gym more than once a week if even that, ring fit was the perfect game to ease me into exercising regularly. I played it bright and early everyday for an hour and logged the post-workout stats in a discord channel with my friends to keep track. Ended up going from 190lb to 170lb in a few months which I still can't believe happened. Now I find it much easier to motivate myself to go to the gym, and I can never give ring fit adventure enough praise for starting me on that path.
I have to say, Nintendo Labo was the most creative thing Nintendo has done in a while. It didn’t take off as much as they wanted, and I can see why. However, their Toy-con set #4, with the VR goggles, was the best one and the best way to end the series (if you can even call it that).
I scored Ring-Fit Adventure for like $30 at Walmart a while back and have been playing off and on, it really is genuinely a fun adventure game and it beats me up on the higher difficulties too. I hope more people are able to get it at a cheaper price and give it a chance
fun fact: the psvr for the ps4 can work with vr switch games with a few tweeks, so you can play breath of the wild on an actual headset! (the resolution is barth inducing and there is no eye tracking)
I remembered really being into Nintendo Labo when the games released and I wanted to try the VR kit so badly but they had it NOWHERE. The only place I ever saw it was at an arcade in the ticket prize section
The best thing Nintendo's casual efforts on the switch era have done, is making everyone notice how much better their previous casual efforts of the Wii, 3DS and Wii U era are
Every 'Wii _______" game should have been rereleased as "Mii _______" Mii Sports. Mii Play Mii Sports Resort. Mii Fit. Mii Party. etc etc. And these could have veen available on NSO for $15-20 each.
Endless ocean is a game that really needs to be in a next gen system bc a game about the "beauty of the ocean" is very hard to appreciate when said ocean looks like a 360 game and with bad framerate

As a ring fit player its not a casual game at all. It will drag you to hell and keep you there until it can no longer hear you scream
35:04 scott is a decepticon
Scott are you in love with Mario? I am.
20:51 the free roam skiing is the best part of the game
Never been this early before nor have I played donkey Kong tropical freeze before
Come back when you’ve played tropical freeze
This is a great list! I'm surprised Just Dance didn't make the cut. It's my preferred way to exercise with the Switch 💃🏻
All it needs is 100 pin bowling and I'll happy.
I’m definitely one of those people who were anti-Wii when it came out. Even to this day, I own every Nintendo home and portable console aside from the Wii and Wii-U. That motion control stuff was the exact opposite of what I was looking for in games.
the Soccer theme (bg music in the beginning) is the best 51 Clubhouse song
24:09 Never thought i'd hear Scott use these words on a single sentence😂
Oh boy! It's 1-2 OVERPRICED!
Should have been a pack-in title.
I wish they remastered Wii Sports Resort instead of making Switch Sports.
Endless ocean luminous = New Pokemon Snap light
I really suggest playing Nintendo Labo kits 3 and 4. The VR kit is kinda a "jack of all trades" thing like the Variety kit but way better at being a master of some. The Vehicle kit is built mostly around one specific game mode where you can explore an open world, switching seamlessly between the vehicles thanks to the holder design.
Ring Fit Adventure actually my mom to buy it to play on my Switch. We both played it once and now it's collecting dust xD
It was fun tho, I wouldn't mind going back to it in the future
10:41 omg i haven't seen that box in a while XD
Ring Fit Adventure is the first RPG I’ve played (I haven’t played very many, to be fair) where it actually feels like I’m actually progressing, rather than just leveling up due to the grind. You get as much out as you put into it, and your character (you) actually is getting stronger and more capable.
This category of games is what really made the Wii so awesome. Switch feels a bit lackluster in this regard
I’d love to see a Labo build video x
Casual time!
Scott glazes Nintendo for 50 minutes
Im both in love and mixed on switch sports, behind all the stank its still a fun and additive time but theres a sense of insecurity behind it
The sports are fun, but they removed practically all the side modes. The item customization is cool, but only sportmates can fully take advantage of them and theyre so bland. The location is stunning, but we barely get to explore it for ourselves
Its a fun time i cant say is the full package.
Brain Age on 3DS is the peak of the series.
fun fact: the psvr for the ps4 can work with vr switch games with a few tweeks, so you can play breath of the wild on an actual headset!
(the resolution is barth inducing and there is no eye tracking)
I feel like Scott’s Stash is slowly becoming like his older main channel videos
I remembered really being into Nintendo Labo when the games released and I wanted to try the VR kit so badly but they had it NOWHERE. The only place I ever saw it was at an arcade in the ticket prize section
i love scotts stash, its literally just a scott the woz episode just without the skits
The best thing Nintendo's casual efforts on the switch era have done, is making everyone notice how much better their previous casual efforts of the Wii, 3DS and Wii U era are
Every 'Wii _______" game should have been rereleased as "Mii _______"
Mii Sports.
Mii Play
Mii Sports Resort.
Mii Fit.
Mii Party.
etc etc.
And these could have veen available on NSO for $15-20 each.
25:42 they must have signed some contract though because they’re still publishing it including the Hatdune Miku crossover version
"They haven't made a box that can hold me" - Scott on Big brain Academy online
"3DS was kids games or first party Nintendo" brother are you kidding, this is the same console the LAUNCHED with a Resident Evil exclusive title
scott dunking on vr is like... yikes..... mid take for once....
yeah that surprised me, he's missing out on Vertigo 2
19:46 me telling my parents what the empty bottles in my room were full of
I highly recommend ring fit. Got mine used for $35. It's fun multiplayer and has a fun interactive adventure/interactive path
45:17 Subnautica: " am i a joke to you?"
But in all honesty good video.
1 2 switch is only fun 1 2 times
22:00 But Nintendo has also always been about accessibility (most of the time), like how in Skyward HD you don't HAVE to use motion control.
Fun fact: The first Fitness Boxing game was delisted from all digital retailers at the end of November 2023 👀
Endless ocean is a game that really needs to be in a next gen system bc a game about the "beauty of the ocean" is very hard to appreciate when said ocean looks like a 360 game and with bad framerate
