One word (wow) we load, shoot and don’t even give a second thought to how much goes into the making of these pellets, but I will now! This was very interesting and educational thank you 👍🏼
yes me to but wonder why they bother as the jsb jumbo diablo .22 i was buying mostly have damaged skirts otherwise they was good pellets but they need to sort this problem out as it was a lot of pellets and im not the only one saying this shooting groups im on all saying the same thing
That damage likely happened during shipping. Lots of box slammers working in the parcel industry. Leaf spring suspensions on freight trucks cause damage too.
So many companies use line scan cameras for their QC. It is so impressive and frankly a Czech National culture of pride in what is produced to do this by humans.
Man…. Almost 40 ladies dedicated to quality control. Crazy. I have a much higher appreciation of JSB after watching this. I rarely have any issue with their pellets. The ones that do have a dented skirt or head most likely is caused by the shipping people stateside. As long as I am shooting air rifles, I will be shooting JSB!
That was amazing, your hosts were very courteous and honest, I was expecting them to hide information but no they were very open, you left no stone unturned, I loved this video, Thank you for sharing with us!
Great to see how meticulous JSB are when it comes to Quality Control. All those ladies hand sorting and packing every single tin of pellets, should ensure consistency in pellet quality and accuracy. I won’t whinge at the cost of my tin anymore. Thanks for the vid.
Still watching this at least once a week. I love JSB's dedication to quality and to be the best. Steve, you really showed how much work the people at JSB put into the factory and products. Thank you for the excellent information and work.
JSB for me, followed only by H&N FT Trophy for me. This is an amazing set-up and great to see most of it being done manually thus ensuring extra quality and extra employment opportunities. Wonderful to see and love the company even more. Thank you and merry Christmas and a prosperous and happy 2020!
The absolute best manufacturer of pellets. Quality control is bar none. That is a great company, started by a great man, and continuing to produce in an old school way. Nothing goes through my rifle but JSB's. Truly a great story.
It was interesting to see both of your Factory Tours videos to the two most famous pellet manufacturers (H&N and JSB). I was surprised to see that their productions methods are quite different. The way they made their pellets is also different. H&N forges the pellets right from the wire while JSB makes a small ball that later is transformed into a pellet. Also H&N seems to have more automation in their manufacturing, especially in the packaging area, while at JSB the packaging is manual. Due to my work, I have visited hundreds of plants during my career and I have been exposed to some of the techniques and processes that both of them use. However, and even for me, both videos were very entertaining and well done. Thanks !!!
Great tour. I can appreciate what you've shown since I spent 10 years in manufacturing; using, setting up, and maintaining similar (but larger) machines. Then I moved to the quality department and worked there for another 10 years becoming the head of quality. Very tedious and very satisfying work. If you love it, your company will make great products, (company permitting), which ours insisted on. I love my JSBs, or I should say my guns do. Now I know why my consistency improved when I switched my .177 guns to Air Arms pellets. I didn't know JSB made them. We had a product being made on several different, but identical, machines. He is right, no two machines can make identical parts no matter how they are built, set up and run. You can only get close. Our close was measured in the thousandths of an inch even when 1 one hundredth of an inch would be great. Part of "World Class Manufacturing". I am about to order more pellets and was planning to order some Air Arms pellets for my .22 caliber. Now I am going to get 2 or 3 tins to try out. Keep up the good work, JSB, you have a loyal follower here. And you too Steve Charlie
so amazing and interesting! I will buy a few tins just to support such a company. Thank you to them for the video tour. I do think they ladies should wear latex gloves when handling so much raw lead! some way to void direct contact with the lead is highly recommended.
I had to use google translate at 19:48 to see that the hand written sign said "Do Not grease the balls" ! Thank you for a tour of where the pellets I shoot come from !!!
I respect what Pavel said about their prototype slugs not being better than the others so we will not release until we get it better. Profit will come when the product is right. If only all manufacturing companies put product before profit.
Absolutely terrific! The attention to detail, quality control input, which is considerable, all goes to show why these pellets are the best - we just weren't sure why before. One facet of production - the ball manufacture - is probably the crux of the pellet manufacture, I was waiting to hear from Michal whether there was any waste from the pellrt die and he pointed out that the ball produces the pellet without any extra that needs removing, they are that exact. Brilliant tour Steve, much appreciated.
OMG...You have to be the luckiest man alive to be allowed to go on the holy grail of tours! Thank you so much for sharing this with me. So many questions I have had and myths you finally provided the answers to. All those people washing pellets ...ha ha ha...like you, I have never done that. Maybe they will still do it to remove dust???? Better them than me. Awesome video and awesome tour. Thank you. Never would have guessed that a pellet starts as a pre weighed ball! AMAZING and WOW. Really makes sense to me now. Very cool. You must feel like you hit the lottery. I can't thank you enough for this...so many questions answered...32 ladies hand selecting each and every pellet by hand with tweezers and a magnifying glass!!! Absolutely AMAZING. YOU SIR ARE THE MAN!!! I am blown away by this video truly and what all JSB does before we get them. Explains why they cost more doesn't it? And worth it for a precision pellet.
The quality control is absolutely amazing and as you say, it’s obviously the reason why JSB cost more than other pellets! The difference in cost between a cheaper pellet and JSB Exact, for example, is obviously highlighted when on a day’s pest control….with the cheaper pellets, you miss more than you hit…and get totally frustrated…yet with JSB’s, you’re guaranteed a hit every shot! I really do appreciate the work that JSB does to produce such a 1st class pellet and do not mind paying slightly more for guaranteed quality!
Most definitely the best pellets in the world. Im amazed at the amount of hands on work to ensure quality. Ive stopped bothering to weigh any of my JSB pellets, there good straight out of the the tin and now i see why.
Steve, thanks a million for what you do for us in the sport of airgun shooting. It is important, though not needed for us to know all of this, but it is really interesting to see what, how and where all of this great quality pellets are made. Impressive to see how all these people get together to produce such an excellent finished product. Thanks again and keep those videos flowing man.
Steve, Thank you and JSB very much for showing us how pellets are made. The factory tour and the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished product that we use. It was a very informative and learning experience.
I will see the humble pellet through different eyes now. Never knew so much went into the process, quite fascinating and impeccable quality control. To think each pellet has been (more or less) individually checked by real eyes. Great video! 👍
Much more informative then the H&N tour, where the production manager was treating peletts like the national treasure and couldn't give any information
I'm a big fan of JSB pellets, but im somewhat concerned about there staff having prolonged exposure to handling lead without having some kind of protection.
I sure hope when JSB makes there slugs they will do a Hell a lot better than the GRIZZLY Those are the worst. Got 3 tins of them & not worth a shit!!!!
This is far more complex, intricate, intensive & bigger than I ever imagined making pellets would be! and this is just 1x brand! certainly got a new found appreciation for it.
Very cool. I just ordered two tins of Beast Diablos .177 's. It's nice seeing the process and people involved. With all of their hard work, I won't be wasting these. Good video, nice drone work too. 👍
Finally I have found this factory visit orchestrated down to the last detail from A to Z. I don't have to rack my brain anymore with the question of how a pellet is made. Will reconsider because as a Dutch speaker some technical names are difficult and I sometimes have to look up translations. If only a world language were taught all over the world. All in all well done and you should consider yourself lucky to have been able to do this.
Not the Firemen, not the Policeman, and definitely not your congressman; These guys are the REAL HERO's of all of mankind. They guys who think, and produce great product that people like to buy. They not only started a factory, hiring people and got them out of poverty, (Yes, it was the factory that got mankind out of poverty), but they also provide opportunity for every one of their employees, if they want to take advantage of it. Almost all manufacturing facilities in the world, from large to small, was started by show guy who worked for somebody else before they started their own business. What can be more "Heroic", than the men who started building factories in a free society? What? I only shoot JSB.
A fantastic, informative and worthwhile video. JSB have been very good in allowing us this knowledge which every shooter will appreciate. Thanks for the visit.
Females have a special gift for talking and working at the same time, I'm sure the giggle haggle and caggle is up when the boys leave . Quite sure they love working there .
Brilliant use jsb all the time especially the Hades .22 they are consistent accurate and thanks to quality control hardly ever get a dud but please go back to the screw tins much safer and don’t open up in your gun case keep up the good work
I never watch long videos but I watched the whole H+N factory video and now this one, I wish you would have asked where the majority of their pellets are sold like you did at H+N. Great info, you r the man! Mythbuster round lol
I am continuing to be impressed by your work. We have family in Czech, Hungary, Poland and Germany. I was left wishing for the speaker to be mic'ed in the factory setting, but otherwise, what great production.
Hey Steve This is a great video about JSB, thanks for that. I only shoot JSB pellets and wait for the JSB Slugs! And now that I can see how much hand work that is, and how many jobs the company has I like staying with JSB ... Your videos are ALWAYS very informatiev and entertaining! Thanks for that, and keep it up ... Greetings Rick
For a long time one of the most entertaining videos I've seen, I've smoked it whole and without blinking. You forgot it to ask when the cans with thread will finally come out.
I just received some hades.22 and jsb 18gr with threaded tops, no more red tape! There the small tins, don't know about the large tins yet. From pyramid air
That was very interesting. Somewhat shocked that no one had any protective gear on. No gloves, mask or ear protection. I'm sure all the school boys were eyeing up the calendar at 6:44. lol
All I can say is the process is simply amazing thank you especially for questions at the end of the video I really did enjoy this video thank you keep up the good work
Man that was the best. I was glued to my phone till the end, respect and great admiration to JSB, the founder to the packers and thank you for doing such a respectful production. Great job. Really great job. My 1st Gold Label 500 pellet tin of JSB Diablo I bought and from there they were my number 1 choice with H&N second and MARKSMAN Pointed pellets for everyday plinking with my CFX. For my PCP and anything else JSB. (Only lead pellets) Thank you great job and God bless 🙏 PS. Should do a video on the old Marksman lead pellets specifically with underlever spring guns like Air Arms and Weihrauch. Rohas is nonsense only implemented because lead interferes with Radio frequencies like WiFi and 5G
Tož to je perfektní! Myslel jsem, že se to dělá docela jinak! Ale nejlepší jsou ta děvčata z kontroly... tohle bych nevydržel dělat ani do svačiny... Ale děláte to bezvadně!!
Excellent Steve! It's great to know the ins and outs of this industry and being able to hear current and future manufacturing practices from the mouths of the people who are producing them! No BS just the truth! Well done Sir!
I watched the entire H&N video, very interesting. Would have like to hear some discussion on lead-free pellets. The GTO lead-free pellets are some of the best shooting in our air guns.
Thanks Steve for a very interesting tour of the JSB factory, meant a lot for me, great work and in a very friendly and professional maner, I just watch your inteviews with a big smile on my face :D

That damage likely happened during shipping. Lots of box slammers working in the parcel industry. Leaf spring suspensions on freight trucks cause damage too.
Me too,,😉😉😍
mine are shit as well and loads lead bits in bottom of tin so that quality control is sh.t

I knew there was some reason for the good groupings, thanks for all the hard work ladies and gentlemen at JSB.
wow nice to finally know where my JSB's are produced after all these years.
JSB fanboy here!!! I appreciate what y'all do, and definitely look forward to JSB slugs!!
A .357 slug for a bulldog hope it’s soon.
Facts
It is interesting to see how each manufacture makes their pellets. It really explains why you get different results among brands, barrels etc. .
the same as with firearms , there`s always a the best combination
I love the way you show the people working on them by hand: it adds a very human aspect to very mechanical process.
65,000,000 pellets a month and I can't find a tin anywhere. Can't wait until the stock is back up. Great video.
Still watching this at least once a week. I love JSB's dedication to quality and to be the best. Steve, you really showed how much work the people at JSB put into the factory and products. Thank you for the excellent information and work.
Now, this was a proper delight to watch.
Just WOW! Thank you Steve and the crew at JSB!
I love JSB pellets and have always been amazed by their accuracy. This video shows why--these guys care about those pellets!!
JSB’s out of all my airguns!

I can't believe I just sat through a 49 min video!!! This was so interesting and informative that the time just flew bY! GREAT VIDEO!

This whole manufacturing process is really impressive. And the final QC is remarkable. Thanks a lot for this documentary 🙏
Best pellets, best peoples, best Country. Thanks for You work!Best success!
A big Thanks to jsb and a special thanks to the wonderful woman there
I love the JSB Exact Heavy .20 Diabolo 15.89 gr. Best pellet in my old Sheridan Blue Streak.
Steve, Thank you and JSB very much for showing us how pellets are made. The factory tour and the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished product that we use. It was a very informative and learning experience.
Steve's Channel on UA-cam is my favorite and him going to that factory makes me like him even more LOL
Insane amount of work going into these pellets.
Steve, this is EPIC. Thank you so much for making this video. You are a true gem and staple in the airgun community.
This was very interesting and informative, such a great set up with JSB. Thank you to all theses ladies for checking every pellet I've used.
JSB makes outstanding pellets, excellent accuracy and consistency.
Wow.... I was anxious to see its factory. My dream has come true for you. Thank you very much.

I will see the humble pellet through different eyes now. Never knew so much went into the process, quite fascinating and impeccable quality control. To think each pellet has been (more or less) individually checked by real eyes. Great video! 👍
Awesome I finally have seen how they manufacture pellets!
Amazing!
Thank you for presenting this video- much appreciated 👍
I never even shot a jsb pellet In my life but I'm going to pickup a tin after seeing the dedication put into the quality of these pellets.
Much more informative then the H&N tour, where the production manager was treating peletts like the national treasure and couldn't give any information
H&N was fearful their tech would be stolen (not by JSB) because of some problems they'd been having from a few other countries. Hope this helps. Steve
I hope keep these women in your factory and we will support you
I'm a big fan of JSB pellets, but im somewhat concerned about there staff having prolonged exposure to handling lead without having some kind of protection.
The difference between the H&N and JSB factories is striking.
Both produce a great product. Nice to have choices.
Thanks Steve!
I sure hope when JSB makes there slugs they will do a Hell a lot better than the GRIZZLY Those are the worst. Got 3 tins of them & not worth a shit!!!!
Blows my mind that all the quality control goes into making these pellets. Its no wonder they're the best
they sure do work hard at at :-)
All the machine processing and the final stage is the human eye ! Great vid 👍
And THAT'S why I use JSB pellets. Great video and cool to see their factory. The H & N video was good also. Thanks
This is far more complex, intricate, intensive & bigger than I ever imagined making pellets would be! and this is just 1x brand! certainly got a new found appreciation for it.
👍😊
Very efficient factory, hats off to the manager and the tour.
JSB has a great reputation as most air gun owners will confirm this.
That was fascinating, I have a new level of respect for all involved.
Very cool.
I just ordered two tins of Beast Diablos .177 's.
It's nice seeing the process and people involved. With all of their hard work, I won't be wasting these.
Good video, nice drone work too. 👍
So cool, the kids had a field trip to the plant !!!
I got my longest shot from .177 JSB 10 grain pellet at 96yards in his wind. Great video to where my expensive pellets come from!
Love JSB products! Congrats for such a nice job. Excellent video
Thank you for the trip to their factory!!!! Much appreciated !!!!!
Finally I have found this factory visit orchestrated down to the last detail from A to Z. I don't have to rack my brain anymore with the question of how a pellet is made. I always complain about pellet prices compared to bullets. But it makes sense since there are so few manufacturers.
A fantastic, informative and worthwhile video. JSB have been very good in allowing us this knowledge which every shooter will appreciate. Thanks for the visit.
Wow....very informative. I had no idea that JSB QC was so personal. I now fully understand why they are my favourite pellet brand.
After watching this video and seeing how labor intensive the JSB process is compared to H&N, I marvel that the pellets are not much more expensive.
JSB is the best ! i want them slugs!
imagine going in to work every day to sort pellets with a pair of tweezers and a magnifying glass , ill bet an eight hour shift is a hoot.
holy shit. yeah.
