I just realized this: Nami's goal is draw a world map. THERE IS NO WORLD MAP! There definitely are maps all along the world where this kingdom exists but there's no universally accepted world map you can reference to check if yours is correct. This is why that is. WG has the means to make one but they won't because how else are you gonna nuke an island and then convince everyone that the maps that display it are just wrong and outdated. Nami's goal just became insanely more important.
Okay cause after Tekking said that I had to second guess myself cause I was like "I know Jimbe met or at least saw Buggy , he was the one who carried him to Law" lol
BUT nobody know the real buggy like Luffy, Zoro, and Nami. Jimbei heard from the marines at the time that Buggy was part of Roger's crew and probably assumed he was with him when they found the One Piece. So maybe he thought he's a big deal, just like Shanks is. But again, no one in the crew know the reality of Buggy beside the three.
It's criminal to have this packed a newspaper and not show us Doffy laughing maniacally in Impel Down while reading it. I hope Oda has him in next few chapters.
@@MikeCheck11 no hes still in impel down. What you were probably hearing was all the people going around theorizing/hoping that doffy will join cross guild
I think the call that Sabo made was strategic. He didn't have to make it. He knew it would be tapped by the marines. I think he wanted the marines to hear what he had to say.
I’d bet that not only did Sabo find out about a King of the world, but he also learned that the 8 rebelling nations were about to be destroyed. That’s why he was rushed to call Dragon, to tell them that the WG isn’t just countering the Rev Army’s efforts… the WG is straight up “never exist”-ing the people they helped. Then being the hero he is, Sabo immediately tried to evacuate the islands starting with Lulusia. This also would explain gorbachev and Sanji’s uncle describing Sabo as unlucky or part of fate, where Lulusia was the target instead of Sabo Edit: some comments are suggesting that Sabo wasn’t on Lulusia based on the shadow on his face, so maybe he couldn’t make it in time and just had to just watch the country get destroyed
Lol it looks more like the shadow on his face because it’s a huge light mega beam about to rain on him and he looks terrified because he’s about to die BUTTTTT this is one piece. I’m just now coping to kaido actually being dead And part of me still thinks him and big mom are dealing with pluton.
going with your theory, sabo could be looking back at lulusia while on a ship that is departing from lulusia to evacute the citizens like you said - so obviously he would have to make a couple of trips for so many people.
Yeah that's how I read it... It said "They all laughed... Oh and also Shanks had tears running down his face" so that in my eyes means it wasn't tears of laughter.

I find Sanji's reaction really wholesome too because he himself has an impossible dream that he's been mocked for in the past. It didn't seem like he was mockinh Luffy when he asked Chopper to check his head, but more like highlighting how crazy it sounded and he was happy because his dream is just as crazy. Kinda like how Chopper calls the strawhats monsters but its where he fits in as a monster so it makes him happy.
I don't think Zoro's point was that Vivi is literally as strong as Ace. His point was that Vivi is capable (which she is), and given that nobody knows her whereabouts, the best thing the Straw Hats can do is trust in her ability to handle herself until more information becomes available
I agree. People should never underestimate the princess who infiltrated a criminal organisation and managed to stay undercover for quite some time and even rise through the ranks. Vivi's got some skill.
@@Zelink108 Exactly. Once he was aware, he acted on that new information. But until then, there is nothing to do but believe in Ace/Vivi's capabilities
My personal issue was that Luffys decision to not go after Ace immediately eventually let to his death… like it didn’t do him any good so what kinda argument is that
@@mehaplebypotatocalledtaqwa4773 True, although it is heavily implied that Oda killed off every civilian in the nation. Maybe not everyone, but you have to believe that the WG just genocided women and children and showed it
There's 16 light beams coming from the sky when Lulusia got blown up. Doflamingo had an attack called God Thread, what he calls the "Sixteen Holy Assassins Bullets". Maybe he knows something about how the WG destroys islands?
Im-Sama destroyed that kingdom with the power of Disapproving Dad Energy, because the Gorosei disappoint him so much it manifests as a destructive force capable of evaporating islands.
When Zoro said that Vivi can hold her own he didn't mean that she was a strong fighter, he meant that she can take care of herself. Strength is not the only thing that exists, she has allies, she has her brains, if she can't fight she escape, or barter, roll charisma, lie, if strength was the only thing you measured every friend they have made needs a constant surveilance. Not saying that Vivi doesn't need help, but I guess Zoro trusts that wherever she is she probably escaped or can at the very least find a way to ask for help.
True, and it's not like Zoro wouldn't agree to rescue Vivi if they knew her current location and impending doom. I also liked the throwback to chapter 217 when the crew missed Vivi after departing from Alabasta and Zoro told them to stop whining and if they really wanted her on the ship they shoud have taken her by force, earning him some insults, among which Luffy's famous Yontoryu.
My problem is that when they decided to leave Ace alone they didn’t know his circumstance, they only knew that he was in some kind of danger. While they know that Vivi is in imminent danger because she’s missing and her father was killed.
I feel like she could be in fishman island at this moment. It’s super close to mare jois and she made really good friends with shirahoshi and the others aswell. Or maybe dressrosa for the very same reason.
I actually think the reason Oda had Luffy specifically differentiate Shanks' reaction to his dream from Ace and Sabo's was mainly to emphasize the tears part. I think it's more to show that Shanks was reminded of Roger since it's the same dream as Roger's. Those tears probably were a bit sorrowful as it was reflected his old captain.
Rayleigh has said that when he met shanks a few years back he said " i met this kid on the east blue that reminded me of the same things the captain used to say" thats probably what he meant, they share the same dream
@@FrescoRahbo He had to have. When we meet Rayleigh for the first time, he says that he ran into Shanks sometime ago in which Shanks told Rayleigh that he met a kid in the East Blue who said the same thing Roger did. Obviously I'm assuming that's what he meant but I have a hard time believing that it was anything else that Shanks felt necessary to bring up to Rayleigh
@@FrescoRahbo Shanks was the one who said Luffy said the same thing Roger did. Wdym? Again I find it hard to believe that the thing Shanks was referring to was some off handed comment Roger may have said. Like it really can only be that. Plus I'd imagine that just like Luffy, Roger told his whole crew his dream
I am most intrigued by Robin's reaction, it appears like she has heard or read it before. It might be at this point she realized that Luffy has inherited Joyboy's dream. Like Blackbeard said dreams never die. I just reread the chapter, to me it becomes more apparent that Robin knows that Joyboy, Roger, and Luffy all share the same dream. This can be shown by her asking Luffy how other's reacted to his dream. She specifically asked a leading question. Which prompted Luffy's response, "they all laughed." When we saw Laugh Tale for the first time with Roger, the final panal had the same wording at the end of the last poneglyph.
Logically speaking, to even hurt a Logia user an attack needs to be either Haki-infused, seastone-infused, the specific natural weakness, or some special case like Blackbeard's that nullifies all powers. If its none of those, then no matter how strong the attack is, it shouldn't hurt Sabo. The real threat would be that he'd have no ground to stand on anymore, and fall into the ocean.
True but we’ve seen Sabo kind of fly and hover in the air with his fruit during Dressrosa. But yeah Sabo definitely isn’t dead, it’s more of a (how did he escape) type question.
Unless the attack was a haki infused devil fruit attack. Or a haki infused ancient weapon attack (I'm pretty sure the ancient weapons could probably hurt logias)
@@carlosnunes929 Sabo has kind of weird attacks with his whole dragon claw thing and all. I wouldn't be surprised if he got taught geppo (CP skywalk thing) by Dragon. (Since many believe Dragon has some history with WG or Gorosei/ celestial dragons.
Its weird to me that everyone is like Ace Conqueror was weaken because he was fighting for WB instead of himself...but Katakuri also has Conqueror who is also under Big Mom and fights for his family instead of himself so
Yeah I don’t think it weakened, I just think he didn’t train it because he relied on his devil fruit too much. Also maybe he didn’t want to use that inherited power from Roger because people would say Roger made Ace strong. So Ace wants to make a name for himself through his own strengths, not inherited ones
Ace's conquerers was never shown bc he never felt the need to use it. He was confident in his fruit. And didn't want to be a King. Remember Ace was ashamed to be Roger's son.
@@mar30999 no no. See he believes in Luffy becoming pirate king and is willing to sacrifice himself for that goal. But he still has Conquerers, why? Easy. He wants to become the worlds strongest swordsman. That in itself is a kingly goal, and separate from helping Luffy becoming pirate king. But still as a swordsman he has hella honour bc of his path of Bushido. But both can be true. Luffy PK and Zoro SS.
I think it gives us a perspective on zoros view of vivi. Zoro, like luffy, really recognizes and respects strength. Zoro saying Vivi can handle herself as opposed to being rescued really shows us the depth of respect he actually has for her. If he would have reacted otherwise it would imply that he doesn't have as much faith in her ability to protect herself.
I understood the line about Shanks crying as: Not like he was really crying from so much laughter But he is crying cause he remembers Roger said the same thing (but luffy doesnt know this)
1060 chapters and I still feel I need more. Oda is simply a genius. I love his work and communities like this one, with whom we can share our excitement. I'm glad I'm in this journey with y'all. (And I'd course, thx Tekking)
It's amazing how much he can deliver to satisfy while at the same time constantly hiding so much for the later date. If any other series tried to hide main character's true goal for for even half of this time it would never work. People would get bored and frustrated. But right now everyone's like "damn Oda you sure love to cocktease us" but nobody's really mad because the chapters are still packed with top tier world building and storytelling. We know it's gonna be worth the wait because the story has just kept getting better every year without fail
1060.... take the zeroes away = 16(the number of lasers that hit lulusia) 16 is also the number of times luffy rang the ox bell. there is a cover art (chapter 472) where eneru looks at an ancient drawing that includes a sun with 16 spokes.

I said this when Imu was first introduced, Black beard isnt the final antagonist to One Piece. Black Beard is Luffy's final obstacle to becoming the Pirate King. Imu is the final antagonist of One Piece
Hmm I think it's still too early to say that for sure, most definetly the world goverment are going to have to be toppled soon if this is the final saga. But we don't know which will come first, it could very well be that they deal with the world goverment before reaching Laughtale, but it could also be the other way around too. Yeah, I always believe this. BB would fall before Luffy fight WG. But event if he is falling I think as long as he is not death he can make a come back any time in final war to fish in the muddy water. 😒
@@gottmituns364 Sure but Blackbeard isn't just another pirate he played a hand in Ace's death and his chaotic views of the world are also not good for that freedom aspect. But again at this point we don't know quite enough to know for sure when he'll fight either. For Imu to be the final villian it needs to feel just as personal as it would when he fights Akainu or Blackbeard. Bonney being introduced back into the story is so masterful. I love the integration of the supernovas into the story post timeskip. Which may lead to the Strawhats going to visit the revolutionaries to clear things up with Sabo and get ViVi if she’s with Sabo

Something to point out: Lulusia was not destroyed because Sabo mentioned Imu. They were going to destroy it anyway, and that's why they mentioned that Sabo was unlucky when they heard that he was in Lulusia.
you are right they are probably going to destory or kill everone on that island but i doubt they would destory it the way they did if sabo wasnt on. is just with sabo on it they made it more direct 1 stone 2 bird type of deal they dont want to miss the opotunity

Sabo looks like he's on a ship near lulucia and not on the island because the light is shining on the side of his face and isn't coming from directly above him like it is with the lulucia citizens
I think that Lulusia was the original target of the attack, but Sabo was icing on the cake. This explains why they are surprised when Sabo was reported to be on Lulusia and they comment on how unlucky he is, I think this was because they were already moving (an Ancient weapon maybe) into position to destroy the country. It sounds to me that the elders were issuing a silence order to the navy communication team as they are keeping the attack (Ancient weapon?) secrets. Also while this is stronger than a buster call, the BC is a show of military might that can be reasonably explained to the world and looks good for the navy. but this attack is something that would cause way to much disruption in the world and civil unrest as it would only create fear in the normal populace.
Now, let's be real: there's no way zoro was hinting just at vivi's physical strenght, he was most likely referencing how skillful, quirky and resiliant she is... honestly I think she has a far better chance of surviving than ace: she can somehow climb her way out of almost any situation; ace could only punch and, at his level, that wasn't nearly enough to get out of every trouble he was crafting for himself... Also, I take robin's reaction not as shocked, but surprised. With that I mean that I think luffy mentioned something she heard before (or something that's related to that), and she's surprised luffy's the one bringing it up. Like, she read something on the poigne griffes that she couldn't make the sense out of, and now luffy's talking about something in that ballpark and she has some gears starting to spin. (yeah, I said "something" too many times...)
Kid Luffy : “I’m gonna be king of the pirates 🏴☠️, and then I’ll make everyone brothers “ That’s what I think he said to sabo and ace and that’s why everyone thinks it’s silly . But I think luffy’s dream is to bring everyone together. Just what I think tho because as a kid ace and sabo was all luffy had…. and that “brother” relationship is something he cherished the most
Bless my soul, I think I found the golden comment. This makes far more sense than throwing a huge party as a dream. I’m sure there will be a party, but it will culminate with everyone sharing a drink with Luffy. Only thing that says no to this is that Luffy was against the Grand Fleet, but that might have been more about having subordinates that aren’t part of his crew.
Would be cool since one of the most popular and badass characters in one piece was whitebeard and his dream was to have a family and yk ace carried whitebeards dream so it be a cool little connection
I like that bit late to the "party" haha puns! I thought he might want to throw a party as seen as he never has to my knowledge. He always the centre of a party thrown for him. I would make sense to luffy that isn't fair! I want to party with everyone at a party the king of the pirates throws and that will achieve his dream
Damn. Oda shifted his expertise quickly from flashback genocide to present time "cleansing". Also, Luffy's dream is probably tied to what the One Piece is, which is why we don't get to see it...or Oda's just trolling.
i think it would be too much of a coincidence if the One Piece treasure itself is conveniently tied to Luffy's dream, Luffy wants the title of King of Pirates, not the treasure itself
I feel like ever since the time skip, the strawhats have had an unofficial ‘prisoner’ nakama, heck ceaser even filled in for caribou while he took a break.
I love how these chapters have sort of reset the power scales of the OP world. We've had a few years of pirate growth, and we've seen what the Yonkou tier is like, and the WG and Marines were put on the backburner. Well they're back now, and they get to flex a bit. The Seraphim PX were terrifying, but if what we've seen is the impact of an ancient weapon, and the WG controls it, holy shit.
@@vincenthammons6705 Reminder that Luffy was not interested in retrieving Pluton and would not use Shirahoshi as a weapon, I'm not even sure Luffy knows that the crybaby princess is Poseidon. There's a difference between knowing about a weapon to owning it and being willing to use it.
My guess, Oda has a couple of ideas for Luffy's dream so when everyone theorized about one thing, he can just use the other idea as a surprise. Bottom line, whatever we think it is, it might probably wrong. But it's fun. So my guess is Luffy wanted to create the biggest exchange cup ceremony in the world which means he wanted a big family
I believe that Luffy's dream in his own words is, "I want to make the whole word laugh!" I don't know. Ussop reaction doesn't seem like something that would fit this. It may be ridiculous yet serious dream than making everyone laugh like buggy clown. Making everyone laugh doesn't seem like luffy to begin with.
There are 16 beams in reference to the 16 holy bullets Doflamingo said. Imu deffo has control of or is Uranus. So I guess the person incharge of the superpower of the world has control of the One Piece equivalent of a nuke. Makes sense
Yeah and Imu might’ve been the one who got rid of God Valley with Uranus as well. But I still don’t get why he would get rid of God valley (if he actually did it) since it was a WG affiliated island
True and by the way we are reading chapter 1060 on volume 79(7+9=16) and correct me if I'm wrong but the chapter in which doffy used that attack was 790. I would also like to add that imu's name does have a faint and unlikely relevant correlation to the numbers 1(I-chi) and the number 6(MU-ttsu). Moreover the chapter 907 has the title: The empty throne. Also chapter 216 is where the strawhats part ways with Vivi. Finally in chapter 295(2+9+5=16) enel is about you obliterate skypiea which is a parallel to how imu destroyed lulusia. Now I will admit that I've just been searching for chapters whose numbers are adding up to 16 and I struggle to believe that oda REALLY did that on purpose but it would be awesome if he did ,what do you think?
23:26 It's not implied, it's been confirmed by Yamato, who heard about Luffy's from Ace and read about Roger's in Oden's journal. She told Ace that she wouldn't dare laughing at Luffy's words, because they are the same words once said by a great man, and that Ace would've loved to meet that man (wonderful irony considering she was unknowingly talking about Ace's father)
I think his dream is something like combine all the seas. Also Robin's reaction to me looks like something clicked with the dream, as if his dream is what joyboy and roger have been waiting for... would also tie into Shanks crying.

Zoro's logic is fully on point, as it always is. Vivi's missing, not in trouble. It's dumb to help someone who we don't even know needs help, and its dumber to drop all you're doing and scavenge the world for someone you don't even know is in trouble. She is missing, when she needs help, the Straw Hats will help- its a matter of respect, pride and logic. Its funny because this was JUST mentioned with Yamato and Momo. Vivi is entirely capable, and Zoro will be ready to help when she calls for it; when has he ever let his crew down?? Dude took all of his captain's pain, and then begged his ultimate rival/enemy to help him support his captain. Zoro talked the most sense here, it seems heartless but it makes sense.
Yeah but she went missing in the holy land. Her ship never left so its very clear to everyone who reads the news that she has a high chance being held captive or killed by some of the strongest people in the entire world
@@MitchSmokes not necessarily, there is a good chance vivi left with someone else, abandoning the ship they came in makes sense as to not be followed by anyone in mariejoa, besides even if the strawhats decided to just race to mariejoa thinking vivi is there, its not 100% certain shes still at mariejoa, so they would just be starting a fight for nothing there with marines up the wazoo, and deciding to go to alabasta to get vivi to keep her safe, again not even knowing if shes there, getting there from the point theyre at right now would take weeks to get there
I’ve always been skeptical of the giant party theory, and this just seals it as a no. By no means is a massive party impossible , with things like transponder snails. Nor would it warrant such disbelief from his crew.
As a believer of the theory, I don't think it's a question of coordinating the party over the world that makes it impossible. It's more because that would require a level of unity across the world that's unprecedented in one piece.
Luffy's dream is to make a real Pangea, not the one on the Marijois. It's something that has been foreshadowed by race of "continent puller". So far from the story, we haven't seen the continent puller implementation in the story. That's why the whole crew was in disbelief, because the dream is so unbelievably crazy and childish.
Someone on reddit pointed out that on the glyphs, there's a picture of what seems to be 1) a ship with automata on it, 2) several large sea beasts, and 3) a circular drawing surrounded by 16 smaller circular drawings. Take that as you will. Edit: glyphs on the moon
About Brook, hes the soul king known around the world and the “musician” Luffy wanted from the beginning of his adventure, im thinking because he wanted a musician for the party if its a theory that really holds up
I like to think that when Robin say's and it's in bold "It's been a long time since that poneglyph was last scene." Then Cutting to Marine HQ. Could be a hint of the last one being there, just an idea.
I actually felt the main fault in Zoro's reasoning regarding Ace isn't even that Ace was strong but what actually happened with Ace after not helping right away. 😅 Because "remember how you trusted Ace ..." is fine until you remember that Ace was very much not fine after that and instead it got worse to the point that Luffy despite being seperated from his crew eventually rushed into a full on war on his own, Ace still died and Luffy almost got killed as well. I'm just very much hoping this isn't one of oda's forshadowing cases. 😭
Agreed. I got the intention, but it was a weird argument to make considering how the Ace situation ended. I mean, you usually use a past refference when its results prove your argument, not when they shoot it down. If anything, Zoro proved why they SHOULD go now.
@@jackjacques7495 agreed, I like the overall scene, it fits Zoro, it fits everyone else, it's a fun callback to the end of Alabasta when they also all insult Zoro, but of all people in desperate situations that turned out fine in the end (and there are plentyto choose from in One Piece), Zoro somehow managed to pick the one guy whos death traumatized Luffy. There is even the other brother that also shows up in the chapter you could have brought up instead. I almost felt the Ace reference was only in there to bring Ace into the story at that moment as now all 3 brothers are mentioned in that part of the chapter which ties into Luffy stating his dream with them and the importance of that moment.
@@Slashx92 Luffy did save Ace. Ace is just stupid to think he can go against Akainu(his emotions get over him and cost him his life). What Zoro meant by she is strong is not literal, he is just saying she is always determined and she knows how to keep things moving regardless of the situation. We can see that back at Chopper's Islam when Luffy tried to retaliate on the citizen that attacked them, she handles the situation better luffy.
@Superacion maxima I'm actually not even arguing that, because I very much agree. Ace was saved and able to die on his own terms at least and that's important. But I still think given the choice Luffy would have very much opted for the option of saving Ace a little before Marineford already maybe having the help of his crew rather than ending up heartbroken and in shock needing to be rescued in the middle of a battlefield.
17:50 To be fair when Luffy said he would leave Ace to himself, Luffy probably wasn't thinking about any of those factors, all he was probably thinking was "Ace has his own adventure and who am I to go in and mess things up for him". So I kinda see where Zoro was coming from because he was probably playing into the fact that Luffy is not thinking about power-scaling
Yes, but the point is that Ace at the time was literally Luffy's brother who arguably was way stronger at the time. Versus their friend that has been in active danger before and needed someone to help her out. I get what Zoro is going for, but its not a fair comparison in regards to "trust in a friend". Vivi should be trusted, but not specifically in combat situations. Hell, they literally just needed to rescue Sanji not too long ago. And Robin before that. Zoro knows for a fact that sometimes you need a little help.
@@LupineShadowOmega plus, y'know... look how trusting Ace to solve his own problems turned out. If anything reminding Luffy of Ace should have made him MORE determined to go rescue Vivi.
@@LPTheGas While that is very fair, I feel like he couldn't bring himself to disrespect Ace's death there. Because yes it did go very badly, but it was also Ace's choice and it feels like a shot that Luffy wouldn't take at his expense. Luffy wouldn't want to think of his brother like that, but that makes it more of a dick move kind of on Zoro's part.
He was the same way essentially when Sanji left to Tottland. He shows why he is the right hand man. Luffy probably wouldn’t listen to any other crew member the way he listens to Zolo

Amazing chapter, Imu genuinely frightened me with their power to just destroy any of the islands we spent so much time exploring (minor complaint but when Zoro said the Ace line and that Vivi would be fine, did he not remember how Ace’s adventure ended?)
Yes. And that was literally only because Ace was stupid. Luffy did actually go when Ace needed him, managed to save him and would have got put if not for Ace. They absolutely don’t need to rush for Vivi, she’s starter than Ace, especially when they don’t know what is going on. Luffy only went after Ace when he both knew he was in immediate danger and knew exactly where to go. Trying to help with out knowing either of those things would not be useful. Not to mention that rushing in would show Luffy’s core value of trusting and having faith in people is bs.
Luffy tried to save ace. When the strawhats found out ace was already dead. I dont see anything wrong with the whole ace and vivi situation. As pointed out by tekking, aces vivre card started to burn in thriller bark but luffy despite getting a little worried didnt try to do the 'luffy syndrome' which is to go out and save somebody because he knew ace was his own man. And since luffy is the captain his crew respected that. Zoros point was that they dont have any clue as to where vivi is. If they have leads I am pretty sure Zoro would agree in trying to get / rescue her. As for now they just have to trust her. Vivi is smart and strong.
2 things: 1: What if the Sorbet kingdom got unexisted and 2: Bonney and Zoro should be somewhat familiar from sabadoy right? That will be an interesting interaction
@@carlosnunes929 Maybe they are gonna do that with every country with a revolution, after all there are only 8 ans they have like 170 under them Not to mention communication between islands is not very usual given the nature of the world
Shank's reaction might've had tears not because it was too funny, but because Shanks knows Roger's dreams and finding Luffy saying the same thing really got to him
My theory is king Im is now possessing Vivi's body! The reason why Im has been able to rule from the shadows for so long is because he is swapping bodies with a new younger body every couple of decades!
If luffy and roger had the same dream, does that mean roger died without completing it? I wonder if his dream had anything to do with his final moments or the events leading up to it
Yea roger couldnt complete it and roger had to change his true dream which is to have the marines and pirates coexist to a plan to create an era to which joyboy will find his "treasure" so that rogers true dream could be carried out becuz whatever the one piece is has to be a catalyst to the current pirates and marines to clash and then unite once the dust settles
Jinbei was actually at Impel Down so he knows Buggy at least somewhat. I think that Shanks reaction was laughing but he was also crying thinking about his captain, and that's the meaning behind the mention of tears rolling down his face.
I had a thought. When the Gorosei hear that Sabo is in the Lulusia kingdom, they never strictly say that "Oh, lets attack there so he wont get away" but they say that it is unlucky that Sabo was there. Maybe Tekking mentioned it and I just missed it, but doesn't that imply that this attack on Lulusia was planned before Sabo landed there? As in the Gorosei and Imu are targeting the newly liberated countries to eradicate them before the news of the liberations spreads to other countries. So this was just a means to control the world and not a targeted attack directed at Sabo.
I feel like it makes more sense that the marines would wipe out the island at the moment that Sabo is about to spill the beans on arguably the BIGGEST secret of the world government, rather than "stopping the liberation". The world already knows about the revolutionary army and their goal, the timing is too convenient for Sabo to not have been targeted right before saying the words to Dragon that Imu is the king of the world.
@@TheBakerZen Yeah, I get that. Its just that it is something that bugs me a little. I mean, the Gorbatjov Elder is even saying that it is fate that Sabo is there, which could mean that it is a coincidence. Lets say that they wire taped Sabo to another place. They still would have known where he was and they also could have cut the transmission at the same place and then just send an admiral or CP0 to deal with him after that. Also, it seems to me that it was a physical thing above the island that did the blasting, not something that just popped out of the sky (pun intended). So it would take time to move something that big over to Lulusia, but you get the feeling that it was instant when they found out where Sabo was. To me it just dont add upp 100%. But then again, i could be reaching. Maybe the official translations makes it more clear to what is happening. In any case it is an awesome chapter!
@@mansart26 Well, I just commented because Tekking didnt bring it up. Or rather he mentioned that the Gorosei was surprised that Sabo was there but did not elaborate further. But sure, sorry for trying to engage with a topic. And maybe you should go and look for some grass to touch, you probably also find a better attitude while you at it ;) xo
@Afilou lo korim be kolnoa Well, thats not exactly what I said. Never said that they didnt care about Sabo, so of course they cared that Sabo was there and of course they wanted to kill him. My point is that Lulusia was already going to be destroyed wether Sabo was there or not due to the reactions from the Gorosei, and thats why they say he is unlucky to land on an island that is going to be destroyed. Its more like a 2 birds with one stone situation. And no they didnt panic, the Gorosei were very calm and collected during the whole scene. Which panel can you see them panicking?
Doflamingos final attack was called 16 holy bullets... just think about it when you count the lasers Tekking. Also Bonny was shown as a child but coming out of the ocean with water coming even out of her mouth and nose, so why is she a kid if the power was cancelled at this specific moment?
My thoughts exactly! Water negates activated abilities. So Bonnie's real age is young. I assume she's gotta be kuma's sister or daughter. Which means she's masquerading as either her own grandmother or mother.
@Internet Person Why is it likely that she has to concentrate and actively keep it up? It could be that she just chooses that form and remains that way passively, there's literally no information on the fruit
it's cool that we now know what Ime-sama's devilfruit is, pretty clever of Oda giving him the map-map fruit and awakening it, instead of making maps of the world, he can make a world map that when he changes stuff it effects the real world by erasing islands of the map. but in all seriousness what if there have been so many cleansings OR so heavy cleansings in the one piece world, it was turned into a destroyed planet who lost 70% of it's surface lands mass with only islands reamining
since luffy declare his real dream to his crew, somehow i got the feeling that the strawhat crew already complete, and the "new nakama" door has been closed, accept for yamato since yamato already knew what luffy's dream is.
Anyone remember when tekking said he was gonna post chapter reviews every Sunday when the official viz translation came out? But the past 10+ chapters have been so fire that he can’t hold back. I don’t blame him
I think Sanji was elated to Luffys supposed party dream because it would be in-line with finding the All Blue (they both bring everyone together), Sanji will most prolly be the head chef for the banquet, and its in-line with Sanji/Zeffs ideology that everyone deserves to get fed, good or bad.
I’m really intrigued on everything that Sabo saw whilst at Mary geoise because there’s a part of me that believes he saw more than just Imu sitting on the throne. The marines clearly stated that Sabo was desperate since he wasn’t using the white transponder snail to call Dragon which James interceptions making me believe that he saw other things like Cobra’s death in person and maybe whoever captured Vivi on top of seeing Imu sitting on the throne and possibly other things too. Because if we look at it closely Sabo really looked and seemed stressed and like time was running out. So really want to know more on that. Would be really cool if we could get the flashback at Mary Geoise but get it from Sabo’s point of view as if we’re Sabo himself.
I mean I'm pretty sure the very existence of Imu is a BIG thing not just for the revolutionary army but for the whole world. Like no one is aware that there is a shadow ruler. The other possibility I can think of which concerned Sabo a lot might be that he n dragon probably know who Imu actually is.
What if Sabo learned that Lulusia and the rest of the 8 rebelling kingdoms were going to be destroyed? Maybe thinking it’d be by buster call, Sabo might’ve gone to Lulusia to evacuate thinking he had enough time. It’d also explain why he’d be so rushed even tho he managed to safely escape. Shit maybe he learned about Uranus
I loved seeing all the straw hats' reactions to Luffy's dream, but especially Robin's. Really felt like other than Chopper, who as the kid of the group is a bit too gullible, she was the only one who thought that if it's Luffy, he'd actually be able to achieve that dream.
After all that she's seen him accomplish especially saving her and giving her a reason to live it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. Everybody else felt like they thought his dream was a bit too out there but with Robin it seems like she doesn't just think he can accomplish it. She knows he can
I think robins reaction stems from the fact whatever luffy said(probs pirates and marines being friends united under 1 flag) reminded her of jaguar d sauls words
I think why the tsunami reports were reported not long after the destruction at the end of the chapter were to also give some explanation in lore to what happened to the Lulusia kingdom incase anyone was to look into it, like maybe some marines originated from there and I’m sure they’d have questions about their homeland.
Two things: I saw someone on reddit talking about how Uranos was showed on cover story from chapter 472, where there is picture that might be Poseidon, another that might be Pluton, and another that isn't fully drawn on the edge of panel, which could be sun thing picture with 16 balls(?) around it, which is the same number of lasers here. Also damn, Sabo's luck kinda sucks. Because it looks like Im doesn't know that they shooting somewhere where is he. The gorosei are learning info about his whereabouts at the same time the call is going on and their mentioning of him being unlucky and how this something is fate.
@@carlosnunes929 I dont think so too. I don't believe that weapon of whatever it is can harm logias. If its ancient weapon, then yes, its supposed to be op, but lets give logias some chance for survival, it already takes whole island from them so just falling to sea would kill them anyway. I don't think Sabo can fly, right, his fruit isn't that type of logia, but if I remember correctly, Ace did something between jump and using fire as some sort of accelerator to jump higher, something working similar to rocket boots.
honestly love how the worst generation and warlords are so we'll balanced to the story compared to early on in new world. we keep switching from one group to another and it just feels so natural each chapter so insane
Hey Tekking, what are your thoughts on some of my theories I got from this chapter: 1. Sabo was in Lulusia to warn the people on the attack and witnessed the attack on a remote location. My assumption is that since Sabo witnessed the existence of Imu, he also overheard the plan on erasing Lulusia. Lulusia being the "light" the gorosei wanted to erase. 2. Pluton was the ancient weapon that belonged to Joyboy and his alliance, and Uranus being the ancient weapon of the Celestial Dragons. If the attack was really caused by Uranus, Pluton might be the only weapon that can counteract against Uranus, which explains the reasoning behind the WG looking for it to prevent it's reawakening or to use it with Uranus.
Yeah those are good theories bro, my only question would be why would the Gorosei and Imu actually want to cleanse Lulusia. It’s not a dangerous nation and they don’t pose a threat to the WG.
What if Pluton never was an island destroying weapon and that was just government propaganda, the real island destroyer was Uranos and they are just projecting that to their enemies. Well of course if Uranos is island sized thing then you would need island destroying ship, but we know WG has been on campaings to twist words and changing names.
I don't think zoro's logic was faulty when comparing trusting ace with the incident with reverie wasn't just about trusting vivi, it was also trusting sabo w/his adventures.
I really hope we get to know what happened to Sabo and Coby soon, I'm getting tired of all these cliffhangers that only get explained 100 chapters later
21:40 I just realized that usopp has never met buggy before Since he was dealing with the merry in lougetown so he never saw him which i find funny since i feel an interaction between them would be perfect (Them both being cowards who talk big and keep Failling upwards) Also Jimbei did meet buggy since he was there with him during impel down so the only people who did meet him was (Luffy, zoro, nami and Jimbei) (Sanji was there when buggy was about to kill luffy, but then never interacted so i dont think it counts)
The Zoro situation on what he said just comes down to everyone having their own opinion but I personally didn’t see anything wrong with what he said. And the way I see it he was the one actually being logical saying that they shouldn’t rush to places. Luffy wanting to go Alabasta and Mary Geoise is exactly how Luffy acts and is what he would do but those very decisions are what makes Luffy naive and dumb as well. If anything it just shows that Zoro is being level headed and showing that he can take decent initiative of situations.
Agreed. Luffy was telling them to sail off to Alabasta or up to the most guarded place in the world with no allies or plan. He's not thinking straight at all and Zoro needed to get him to stop panicking or he'd never do anyone any good.
Yeah I didn't see it as him being irrational or anything like that. If anything he was trying to get luffy to see just how ridiculous he was being. Cause luffy sounded dead set on actually leaving the new world and going to alabasta (where vivi wouldn't have been at in the first place and then Mary geoise the literal seat of the world government) which was ludicrous when you get right down to it. Then when he brought up ace and luffy saying he has his own stuff going on honestly it felt like Zoro was almost asking Luffy if he believed in Vivi like he did ace. That she can handle herself and doesn't need luffy to come and rescue her every second
Imagine if his dream was to destroy the redline. The pirate king has the greatest freedom, so he will have the freedom to do it, and in return he could give freedom to others. This theory is likely 2% going to happen but it’s something.
I don't think kid Luffy knew it even though about the red line remember you have to look at this trough the eyes of one of the most pure hearted kids ever

IM didn't target the island because of Sabo. They had it marked for cleansing since it was one of the rebellious nations against WG mentioned recently.
Exactly. I thought it was pretty obvious. The Gorosei said Sabo was unlucky RIGHT after being told that he was in Lulusia by the transmission team. The attack was already planned, and Sabo just happened to be there.
Robin's reaction is a typical reaction of an introvert when an extrovert tells them that they dream of having a massive party where everyone in the entire world will have to mingle and be fun
That is an excellent point.

Correction, Jimbe has met Buggy. When they were on the ship going to Marineford

I think the call that Sabo made was strategic. He didn't have to make it. He knew it would be tapped by the marines. I think he wanted the marines to hear what he had to say.
I agree with this too. There’s no way the 2nd in command of the Rev Army would do something like this.
This! He wanted the marines to know that the "Empty Throne" was a lie.
He prob did it to see how they would react
Yes!! I think the Rev army knew the tactics of the marines since Kuma kinda was undercover there as a warlord.
sounds so wrong to me. cause if this call was strategic he actually sacrificed a whole kingdom just so he can spread some information...
This also would explain gorbachev and Sanji’s uncle describing Sabo as unlucky or part of fate, where Lulusia was the target instead of Sabo
Edit: some comments are suggesting that Sabo wasn’t on Lulusia based on the shadow on his face, so maybe he couldn’t make it in time and just had to just watch the country get destroyed

Based comment right here. You rule for this
My problem is that when they decided to leave Ace alone they didn’t know his circumstance, they only knew that he was in some kind of danger. While they know that Vivi is in imminent danger because she’s missing and her father was killed.

The Straw Hats' reaction to Luffy's dream really was beautiful. It almost looked like a preview to how they would react once they find the One Piece.
Shanks didn’t hear Roger’s dream, did he?

Easy.
Zoro's POV could also be influenced by the fact the he's known a variety of strong, capable people throughout his life.

I really like the way Nami looks at Luffy, because it gives off big admiration/respect vibes. Like she realized she underestimated his dream, but now she sees it in another bigger light.

She looks him like she loves him pal
Yes she looks at luffy with a "aww thats so sweet you're such a good person" kind of face

This fits if you rewatch Franky and brooks entrance against bigmom with nami
Zoro didn't say that Vivi is Strong, he said that Vivi is a capable person which is true considering she managed to infiltrate Baroque Works and become an officer while worrying about their Kingdom having a Civil War
Point is just wait a bit longer to see where the pieces fall before making a guess.
Like Akainu Blackbeard has done very personal damage to Luffy and so I think that does make him a good canidate for the final villian. But again at this point we don't know quite enough to know for sure when he'll fight either. For Imu to be the final villian it needs to feel just as personal as it would when he fights Akainu or Blackbeard. And Imu very well could've done something to that effect we just don't know enough yet.
@@Cloud-dt6xb Thats why I said that BB would love to fish in the muddy water. He could sell Coby to Cross Guild just to make Marine and Cross Guild Fight each Other while Marine Distracted he would love to take some more important piece that he need for his Plan, To Welcome Chaos to The World, A fredoom with no Rule is BB idea of Fredoom. So whatever happen to BB in Laugh Tale as long as He Survive he would love to Come Back to fish in the muddy water of the War between Luffy vs WG. We don't know for sure who will stand in the end Luffy and who but I am certain that as long as BB survive until the end and didn't want to Follow Luffy Idea, then he will still become a threats
@Afilou lo korim be kolnoa it’s quite evident so far that Imu had BB’s wanted poster, alongside Luffy’s, Shirahoshi’s, and Vivi’s posters. It’s hard to ascertain if BB knows of Im’s existence. Despite BB’s goal of acquiring a Devil Fruit crew, Im-sama is quite a formidable individual. Everyone will be in for a huge shock once Im emerges before all in the Final War.
Bonney being introduced back into the story is so masterful. I love the integration of the supernovas into the story post timeskip. Plus like you said she was at Mariejois, she was there for Kuma more than likely she had a run in with the Revolutionaries. She’s going to be the one to tell the Strawhats what really happened at Reverie. Which may lead to the Strawhats going to visit the revolutionaries to clear things up with Sabo and get ViVi if she’s with Sabo

@@reves3333 On the contrary, I'd say they were going to do exactly the same thing either way, just that this sped up the timetable a little bit maybe. The revolutionaries are going to need to find a way to counter this ASAP. Maybe it takes time to recharge Uranus or something, but they probably won't have very long to come up with something.

I don't think luffy's dream is to hold the biggest party. He doesn't need to be king of the pirates to do that
Well now that Bonney's here he'll get lots of time to practice.
@@vaishakhvarma eh… maybe but if he did want a huge party that included everyone he would need some type of influence to get everyone there.
Kid Luffy : “I’m gonna be king of the pirates 🏴☠️, and then I’ll make everyone brothers “
That’s what I think he said to sabo and ace and that’s why everyone thinks it’s silly .

Damn. Oda shifted his expertise quickly from flashback genocide to present time "cleansing". Also, Luffy's dream is probably tied to what the One Piece is, which is why we don't get to see it...or Oda's just trolling.
Probably to punch every king or something. I've known kids who want retribution justice.
One Piece is just a massive pile of party hats, enough for the whole world!
i think it would be too much of a coincidence if the One Piece treasure itself is conveniently tied to Luffy's dream, Luffy wants the title of King of Pirates, not the treasure itself
My interpretation was Lulusia was already scheduled for a buster call for rebelling, which is why the Gorosei were commenting about Sabo being unlucky

What makes 'insulting Zoro' scenes work for me is that Zoro accepts insults from everyone EXCEPT Sanji and then proceeds to fight in next panel 🤣🤣🤣

That's true but what's dumb is zoro compared vivi to ace

Yes that what I thought. Like you left ace had his adventure and he died lmao

Just keeps getting better
Remember that water doesn’t actually negate devil fruits, Luffy showed us that when he stretched his neck so he could breathe
It could be that she just chooses that form and remains that way passively, there's literally no information on the fruit
it's cool that we now know what Ime-sama's devilfruit is,
pretty clever of Oda giving him the map-map fruit and awakening it,
instead of making maps of the world, he can make a world map that when he changes stuff
it effects the real world by erasing islands of the map.
but in all seriousness what if there have been so many cleansings OR so heavy cleansings in the one piece world, it was turned into a destroyed planet who lost 70% of it's surface lands mass with only islands reamining
😬
since luffy declare his real dream to his crew, somehow i got the feeling that the strawhat crew already complete, and the "new nakama" door has been closed, accept for yamato since yamato already knew what luffy's dream is.
I totally agree with you. Sabo saw a lot of things when he was there.
Maybe he recognized Imu
Since the next island is a winter island and we just met Bonnie, it could mean that we are going to the Sorbet Kingdom and find out more about Kuma
I think the sorbet kingdom is either in west blue or south blue. But definitely outside of the grand line
Two things:
I saw someone on reddit talking about how Uranos was showed on cover story from chapter 472, where there is picture that might be Poseidon, another that might be Pluton, and another that isn't fully drawn on the edge of panel, which could be sun thing picture with 16 balls(?) around it, which is the same number of lasers here.
Also damn, Sabo's luck kinda sucks. Because it looks like Im doesn't know that they shooting somewhere where is he. The gorosei are learning info about his whereabouts at the same time the call is going on and their mentioning of him being unlucky and how this something is fate.
Yeah but Sabo is defo alive. Oda wouldn’t kill him, it wouldn’t even make sense bro.
@@carlosnunes929 I dont think so too. I don't believe that weapon of whatever it is can harm logias. If its ancient weapon, then yes, its supposed to be op, but lets give logias some chance for survival, it already takes whole island from them so just falling to sea would kill them anyway. I don't think Sabo can fly, right, his fruit isn't that type of logia, but if I remember correctly, Ace did something between jump and using fire as some sort of accelerator to jump higher, something working similar to rocket boots.
honestly love how the worst generation and warlords are so we'll balanced to the story compared to early on in new world. we keep switching from one group to another and it just feels so natural
each chapter so insane
Hey Tekking, what are your thoughts on some of my theories I got from this chapter:
Seems legit
Yeah those are good theories bro, my only question would be why would the Gorosei and Imu actually want to cleanse Lulusia. It’s not a dangerous nation and they don’t pose a threat to the WG.
Based.
What if Pluton never was an island destroying weapon and that was just government propaganda, the real island destroyer was Uranos and they are just projecting that to their enemies. Well of course if Uranos is island sized thing then you would need island destroying ship, but we know WG has been on campaings to twist words and changing names.
I gave you like for the first point
I live for these chapters but also tekkings long ass review when we get just the CRAZIEST of chapters. This weekend is unrivalled, thanks sir
21:40 I just realized that usopp has never met buggy before Since he was dealing with the merry in lougetown so he never saw him which i find funny since i feel an interaction between them would be perfect (Them both being cowards who talk big and keep Failling upwards)
Also Jimbei did meet buggy since he was there with him during impel down so the only people who did meet him was (Luffy, zoro, nami and Jimbei) (Sanji was there when buggy was about to kill luffy, but then never interacted so i dont think it counts)
Yup just like at water 7
I enjoy these kinds of moments from Zoro the most when he takes responsibility as Vice Captain
I don't think kid Luffy knew it even though about the red line remember you have to look at this trough the eyes of one of the most pure hearted kids ever
why would the straw hats laugh at that?
So Everyone has Made the Parallels
Alabasta-Dressrosa
Skypeia-Zou
Whole Cake-Enies Lobby
Wano- Thriller Bark
And now going into the end
Summit war- they meet Camie
Final war- they meet Bonney
I think robins reaction is the most important, she looks shocked, and her back round is darker, which most likely means it has something to do with or adjacent to the void century
Luffy's dream is to make everyone in the world laugh, and to do that he needs to find the One Piece and show it to the world
That's good!!!!!!! I buy that
That makes more sense than the party's dream. But why did usopp get kinda mad at Luffy if this is just straight silly?
but how would they know the one piece would make some laugh in the first place?
@@Days-ru8jh true but then again we're talking about Luffy here. He doesnt really care about treasure so maybe he thinks its something more.🤷🏽♂️
Shanks crying is really what peaked my interest so maybe make everyone happy and since Usopp is so negative he didnt really see the possibility?
Giant whoopee cushion
IM didn't target the island because of Sabo. They had it marked for cleansing since it was one of the rebellious nations against WG mentioned recently.
Exactly. I thought it was pretty obvious.
The Gorosei said Sabo was unlucky RIGHT after being told that he was in Lulusia by the transmission team. The attack was already planned, and Sabo just happened to be there.
Robin's reaction is a typical reaction of an introvert when an extrovert tells them that they dream of having a massive party where everyone in the entire world will have to mingle and be fun
Jimbe's reaction lets us know it's definitely not a party. A "problem" and "troublesome captain" doesn't sound very partyish
