I would love a how to find trousers for petites and short torso video, and preferably polyester free! I’ve been kind of wanting some but realize with my short torso that high waisted and certainly paper bag styles would look terrible on me. There must be something! I’ve lived in Florida for the past several years and am old 😩 so always looking for cool sophisticated alternatives to shorts
Jules!! Do know that your views do not define how great your videos are!!! Personally, you are a life saver for me. I've been looking for someone with the same body shape and your videos truly helped a lot ❤️ Thank you and keep making videos ❤️
Just one quibble- the drape of a sweater depends on gauge. The looser the gauge (less stitches per inch) the more drape. You can have a drapey sweater in a fine yarn/thin fabric or in a thicker yarn/fabric. I feel like it’s more likely to have a drapey thin sweater because the fabric is thinner naturally and can ben easier. Fiber content can also impact drape.
Hey Jules, just wanna say I love these styling videos regarding our vertical lines. Most styling videos focus on the horizontal lines, only a handful mention vertical lines. Your videos are by far the most in depth and detailed for the vertical line styling. And you have such great humor and freshness, it makes watching these videos so fun and relaxing. The attention to detail and your positive approach to body image and styling is really great. Thank you for such great videos!!
You are the only person I have ever heard say that v necks shorten the torso. I have a very short torso and always observed that v necks were not as flattering on me as crew necks even though I constantly heard that v necks were the most universally flattering neckline. I heard that they flatter large busts which I have so I was confused as to why they didn’t work well for me. I also heard that they flatter short torsos, they don’t. So I appreciate your insights in this regard. I watched a you tube video on how to dress a short torsos that recommended v necks. Yikes. You are good at what you do. Thank you.
JB, your videos are like having a personal stylist! I love that you leave nothing to chance. YOU could sell books about dressing a "short torso" with this stellar body specific information! Your presentation style is also fun and not condescending like other channels can be-on YOUR channel, it DOESN'T have to be the Frame jeans, Veronica Beard blazer or Chloe bag. THANKS!
I’m so glad someone has addressed this body type wardrobe issue! I’m fairly good at understanding proportion instinctively, but I still learned a lot and glad you spelled it out in rules! Some of them are counterintuitive to the way these things are usually addressed because it’s not specifically directed to us short torso types.
For me, boat necks are soooo underrated. I have short torso and short-ish neck, so its a no for turtlenecks and v-necks. And they are so elegant! Plus lower boat necks can show off your clavicles which I find sexy in a weird way.
I love your videos!!! Wheww what a relief to hear reasons for wearing certain styles - to solve proportion problems! - and see examples. Perfect for us short torso people. Thank you!
just got this in my feed, very excited to see how to wear sweaters with my body type! I have a short torso and a larger bust so I find it eXtrEmeLy difficult to wear sweaters.
I have the same body type, but I'm known around town as "the sweater girl." (I found that out by accident.) Number one, I always size up in sweaters so that they skim over my bustline. I never, ever wear skin-tight sweaters. Second, I never tuck sweaters into a waist-high waistband, only into mid-rise or lower-rise jeans. I don't like the look of my boobs sitting on top of my waistband. Third, I recommend sweaters that come to mid-hip. I like longer sweaters, too, that hit the break at my hip-leg. I hate bending over and showing my underwear, so my sweaters have to be long enough to cover my waistband when I bend over.
I'm commenting before I watch to see if I am right. For me, dolmans are great. Baloony, balloon sleeves, cropped lengths. V necks because I have a short neck. Edit after watching, I'm getting it! Broad shoulders, short torso, narrow hips. So the cropped length hits in the perfect spot, hopefully making my hips look wider.
How have a missed your channel. It’s amazing. I’ve send your channel to everyone I know. So many common sense things I can’t believe I never noticed. Wow so many ah ha moments!!! Thank you so much
Thanks for this video. Rolling my sleeves up almost never work for me, they keep getting loose and make me feel stupid when others are watching. I have long skinny arms with super small wrists. Also the more I roll it up the more my bony arms are exposed.
Thanks Jules, great video. Haven’t had time to watch this all in one go so time stamps would be helpful which I think you’ve done before, for the different aspects you cover on the topics so I cut straight to where I need to when I revisit the video. Thanks!
They were there but it’s okay! I meant for them to also add chapters so that they’re easier to see but I messed it up. I’d update it but there’s unclear advice on whether that messes up UA-cam’s processing of the video. That’s probably more than you needed to know 😂🤣
I hate that it feels like EVERYTHING is puffed right now. I have really broad shoulders, and it makes like 70% of the clothes that would look fantastic for my figure feel unwearable.

Can you make a video of what to wear basics for large busted, short-waisted peeps?

YES! Great option for shorter necks and short torsos ❤️
I had no idea there were so many factors to consider when buying a sweater!🤯💗
There can be! Some sweaters are definitely very elaborate 😅

Love the videos! Can't wait for sweater weather to start
Thanks so much! Sweaters are one of my favs ❤️
Great info and rear on YT. You look great on camera, so love to see more of YOU as a model.
How about scarves to give an additional lengthening effect. Could that work?
Thanks for this video. Rolling my sleeves up almost never work for me, they keep getting loose and make me feel stupid when others are watching. I have long skinny arms with super small wrists. Also the more I roll it up the more my bony arms are exposed.
That’s a good point! Bunched up fabric can get overwhelming 😄

Timestamps are in the description box! It didn't work for chaptering the video, but I'll make sure it does again in the future
@@JulesBeth have you just added these time stamps to the description box?? Sorry if they were & I missed them!

Oh! This didn't show as a Super Thanks when I first saw it. Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked the video 💕
Just subscribed today.
Awesome! Thank you!
Love your videos

Lol yep it definitely seems like everything has a puffer version right now. Some of the quilted versions seem less puffy but I see what you mean ❤️
👍🙏
You have good advice. Much better if you could speak much slower.
You can slow the video by changing the speed/playback in settings. I do this all the time to speed it up though.

😢 your not defining body types...like apple shape hour glass rectangle ect....
