I used to not enjoy "2 minute noodles" (as we call them in Australia) at all, until I discovered I can supplement them by cracking an egg into the hot water and perhaps some bok-choy. This was my cheap lunch for quite a few years.

Totally !! Also try: a half-teaspoon of sesame oil, and I’ve learned to ALWAYS keep scallions in the freezer. That way, for instant noodles (and tons of other dishes) you can just use scissors, and add green onion just before serving. Don’t add “freezer scallions” too early because they’ll lose that nice green-ness, and don’t add them too late either, because if they’re merely defrosted, they’ll be a little slimy from freezer-frost. But the freezer is a great solution if-like me-fresh fruit & veggies start to spoil before ya’ can use them.

Those Buldak noodles from Korea are now very popular in the UK. But they are around £2-£3 per pack if you buy them individually. We get them quite often for lunch.

The package (square) MAMA (from Thailand) is sold in The Philippines big supermarket for 32 Pesos = 19.75 Baht. I add shrimp/squid/ground beef and an egg, so you will get the protein you need, not just plain noodles.

I've always loved the instant 'ramen' noodles as long as I can remember. I've always tried to find the best Tom Yum Goong I can, but also look for Japanese ramen, Korean flavours and other variants. I never realised Mama was Thai. Wow. Extremely high in sodium, most of them have like 2 days worth of sodium in one small 'cup' or bowl, so if you have high blood pressure, not good at all, but very tasty lol.

We buy noodles in the US all the time. A little more expensive for sure but the Asian market has a huge selection and some very cheap. My wife has been going gluten free lately and she is into the Jok cups. Those aren't bad, but a bit expensive here.

Another great insight into Thai life.
You can play around with the noodles and use your own flavourings.
Breaking an egg into them is common. I like to use stuff like Soy sauce and sesame oil as well.

Yes, having some MaMa or other quick noodle packs in your cupboard is a good practice. They also have an instant "Jok" rice soup cup which is excellent. Just down use much of the powder packet to reduce salt intake. Yes vlogging is a way of life for you and family...We do appreciate watching them ... I like how Damo was saying dont put camera on my face, then you say, but you are beautiful. Damo smiled and the video turned out fine... Genuine Spam goes for $16-20 per can in Thailand, the knockoff versions are about $3-6 per can. But if you know how, and have some time, it's really cheap and easy to make at home. You can find some very good recipies on UA-cam, and yes, I make my own now from time to time. My wife says it tastes just like out of the can.

Easy to cook, just some coins in your pocket, like a fast food, you hungry on midnight from works, movies(+eggs), and hang on party with your friends over midnight, easy to takejng in your backpack to some trip, tent camp, easy to cook with the new your idea such put in hot water then draining hot water, or fried with some your idea orther vegetable, or eat like a hot soup woth cold air ambient....etc
may be no need any hot water, raw nooddle with the seasoning powder.
