So, thank you very much for your concern about this. Our welfare state is not comprehensive enough to allow them to live without doing anything or easy at home. This might be because in Thailand, we have a low tax rate and it doesn't cover much. Finally, I wish you meet good people on every trip you take. love ❤
I love hearing of older people who want to keep working! Both of my grandparents (they’re also around 70-72) have retired from their old jobs but they both still work. They have a small side business working outside in peoples gardens and yards. They love the work they do and my grandma always told me, even when i was a small child, “staying moving is how you stay young!” And i truly believe that!

UA-cam recommended me this video and I’m not disappointed! I love your attitude and the way you interact with people is so adorable. We Thai people love it so much when we see foreigners try to speak Thai. Doesn’t really matter if your Thai is good or bad, we just truly appreciate how you guys put the time and effort into learning our culture. As for the gender equality here, according to my 93 year old grandma, “As long as you’re happy and always being kind to others, you should be alright. What does sexuality have to do with being a good person?” However, we do still have a bit of stigma about trans women here tho. It’s not super harmful but it can be toxic sometimes cuz a lot of people just kinda expect ALL trans women to always be funny or jokesters. It’s almost like they can’t take trans women seriously sometimes. One of my best friends (who is a gay guy) decided to keep his sexuality from the public since his work requires him to be very professional and formal. His twin “sister” is now a trans man tho. So I always tease him how they must have switched souls before birth. lmao

I have no problems at all. At 14, I told my family that I was gay, and my mother was surprised, saying, "Really?" Does this mean I won't be able to hug your baby? I said, "Even though I'm straight, you know I'm not going to have a baby," and she laughed. My father drops my boyfriend off at school every day bc he studies at a different school from me. all my friends are straight males and they didn't believe me at first, but they are ok, like when we travel somewhere and we have to share a bed, they always try to sleep with me. For some language enthusiasts out there, Kathoey is a broader term, and Saw Pra Peth Song (Saw Song for short) falls under the Kathoey umbrella term. Basically, if you are feminine and gay, you can call yourself Kathoey, but if you are transgender, you are Saw Pra Peth Song, though some still call themselves Kathoey. Some Kathoey don't want to transition. Kathoey actually originated from a word used to describe intersex people, but the meaning has changed over time. In my opinion, the acknowledgment of genders other than male and female created space for a third gender in Thailand a long time ago.
I'm don't agree with that. I think gay in Thai means a man who's love a man and don't want to change their sexuality to be a girl. (Beside that Thai people not including lesbian in gay people. In Thailand if you call gay, it's only mean for male loving male.) If a boy want to be a girl but not changing their sex yet, In Thailand he will be called "Toots" or "Tootsies". For Ka-Toey accually it's meaning Ladyboy (trangens woman) that already had sex changing under surgery, had long hairs, had artificial boobs. But some people also call 'Toots' who very feminine 'Ka-Toey'.
Katoey used to be a derogatory term for Thai Trans women, so Sow Song is what someone seems more polite (but there’s still some sense that Trans women aren’t accepted as Cis-women so there’re some people advocating not to assume what to call them) The interesting part is there’s stigmatization towards them that they always be funny (which I personally think humor might become their option to cope with discrimination), but their humor finally reclaim Katoey word to identify themselves. There is even a part of the song that goes, P’Katoey told me not to cry, which actually distorted from the original one (The song is Recall by BOWKYLION), but it became went so viral that many trans allies (especially in afab individuals) come to share their stories online when they’ve been empowered by Trans women in bad times, and they start to call Trans women as P’Katoey (P’ is a prefix to call who’s older) as a praise as they’re always supporting us like a sisterhood. After that, the artist gave interviews and thanked P’Katoey for supporting her work also. (Just wanted to share my opinion here🤣)

The west is driven by political beliefs the left vs right vise versa , while Thais is conservative the people maintain a centered open mind, respect , and common ground unlike parts of the western world where we tend to want to fight for personal superiority
Thais are becoming more aware of the importance of using non-discriminatory and respectful language. The term "สาวประเภทสอง" (second type woman) may now be seen as divisive and inappropriate. Using the term "trans" is a better and more universal choice.
I personally don't think ka-toey (กะเทย) is an inappropriate word to call transwomen. Since it has always been used for so long as referred to "people with both male and female inside their hearts or body". But maybe because of some discrimination, this word can seems offensive to some, if being said by those who aren't part of the community.
You are absolutely stunning. You have got beautiful smile. ❤ You are right! In Thailand you can be whatever you want. Be free and always be safe here. We respect you as the way you are.
I’m so glad you like it in Thailand! I’m Thai and I’m very glad that Thai people are usually okay with people from the LGBTQ+ community! Even if someone doesn’t like it, they don’t rlly say anything to you! They just mind their own business! But it’s nice to see that you liked it here in Thailand!
Thanks for resonating how it's really like to be out here to the rest of the world. Regardless of how we're so third-world country on so many things in life today. BUT the threshold of acceptance for the LGBTQ community in this society has made me think that we're also lightyears ahead of many other countries. For what it's worth, I'm grateful for Thailand and the whether it is the unconditional love or positive human connection we're willing to give each other. Why treat someone poorly just because they wanted to speak for they/themselves (see what I did there lol). I'm straight as a ruler but I'm telling you now. In Thailand, your voice will always be heard! Deep down we are all human, all the same flesh and blood. Recently, the senate has just passed the same-sex marriage legislation (the first in Southeast Asia) so it's really great to see how we're striving to be better here and there as well. To all pride communities worldwide, come to Thailand and let us be where your heart is at

I love the lady boys, I love thailand in general! The difference between these lady boys and the toxic trans community in the west is that these wonderful lady boys accepted their biology and respect it. They know who they were and they accpeted the fact that they are different and NOT trying to fit in a certain gender. That's the sole reason why they are soooooooooo happy and toxic free, because they accepted who they are. I know I will get a lot of hate by saying this, but I do really think that there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE betweem the asian trans community vs the west and I hope that the toxicity won't reach these wonderful people. To Dency, I'm really happy that you have found acceptance in thailand and I can see that you truly are happy

Because they are not women and there is nothing wrong for being a trans in Thailand.

not everyone uses the same terms as western people. why do you even care how other people define their identity man just live your own life

Fan uit NL, ook ts, vindt het heel knap dat je gekozen hebt voor je eigen leven en de uitdaging aangaat in een land waar je je fijner voelt, NL gaat hard achteruit.. groetjes x much respect
Thank you so much babe 🙏🏽💖
You look like Stacey Dash, an American Actress from the 90's. Are you aware of her?
Haha yes I’ve heard Stacey dash a few times 😂🙈
That's cool and good to hear honestly 😌😎👌 America is so weird and wild but
คนไทยยุคนี้ไม่ถือเรื่องนี้นะครับ
สบาย ๆ ขอแค่ไม่สร้างความเดือดร้อนให้คนอื่นก็พอ 😍
The west is driven by political beliefs the left vs right vise versa , while Thais is conservative the people maintain a centered open mind, respect , and common ground unlike parts of the western world where we tend to want to fight for personal superiority
Thais are becoming more aware of the importance of using non-discriminatory and respectful language. The term "สาวประเภทสอง" (second type woman) may now be seen as divisive and inappropriate. Using the term "trans" is a better and more universal choice.
OMG! You’re so beautiful. I’m glad to see you enjoy being here :)))
Thank you kaa!!🙏🏽🙏🏽
I personally don't think ka-toey (กะเทย) is an inappropriate word to call transwomen. Since it has always been used for so long as referred to "people with both male and female inside their hearts or body". But maybe because of some discrimination, this word can seems offensive to some, if being said by those who aren't part of the community.
I found your video through the way (offroad's fandom) and you are so cute 🥹 btw he is the nicest, most sweetest soul too
Oh really from his fandom🙈? That’s so funny haha thank you so much 🙏🏽☺️
You are absolutely stunning. You have got beautiful smile. ❤
You are right! In Thailand you can be whatever you want. Be free and always be safe here. We respect you as the way you are.
I love that Thailand really preserve it's country like the freedom and beautiful scenery and the way people wont talk bad abt your sexuality
I hope my country ztayz thiz way, and doezznt change bc of zome ztupid wezternerz opinionz love u
Thank you so much kha 🙏🏽
Thank you so much kha 🙏🏽
Your Thai pronunciation is awesome 💗
To all pride communities worldwide, come to Thailand and let us be where your heart is at
I agree with you !!☺️☺️🙏🏽🙏🏽
omg you look like megan markle
Thank you for this video.. It makes me happy to see people come together here in Thailand and the world citizens feel like home here.
I'm a Thai woman and I love my LGBTQ friends. They're all lovely people and humorous :)❤
Sis, you are gorgeous! I made UA-cam videos too YEARS ago I gotta get back into it but how wonderful to see a gorgeous sister looking like a model and living her best life out and about. Seriously, I’m so proud of you and I genuinely mean that ❤
P.s. what was up with that other trans woman you talked to and when you said by to each other she rolled her eyes and looked OVER IT. Lolll aww hell nawwww hahahah 😂
Thank you so much sis!! I appreciate it ☺️💖🫶🏼🫶🏼 I dont know what happened but looking back I was like …🤣 such a funny moment.
Hey Dency!
Leuke video.
Love your personality and attitude, wish you happy in Thailand 🇹🇭

Sexual orientation is not weaponized or part of a political agenda. It just is.
Thing about Bangkok is I find it hard to breathe, the humidity is on another level.
The humidity is intense that’s true haha
Wat een leuke video, knappe meid ben je 😊. Geniet van het mooie Thailand, ik mag gelukkig 7 juli ook weer richting Bangkok vliegen. Lieve groetjes uit Eindhoven
To Dency, I'm really happy that you have found acceptance in thailand and I can see that you truly are happy
you have a meghan markle vibe. go girl
Thank you!!🙏🏽
Girl, you look like Meghan Markle

I love Thailand so much 🥹
We call ladyboys 'สาวสอง' (Saow Song). It means 'Woman Type 2' because we don't want to call them ladyboys. We want to respect that they are a kind of woman. So, we call them 'สาวสอง' (Saow Song)... BTW I love your vlog and your style!! You're gorgeous ☺️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!🙏🏽🙏🏽
UA-cam recommends your video to me and I thought you were a model or an actress because you look so beautiful in your thumbnail

Showing why Thailand is #1 the country to retire to.
hello, as someone who was always interested by the diversity of thailand's capital city, i loved your vlog showcasing it. it's so beautiful so see your experiences there and the people there (and you) are so charismatic, much love 💞
Thank you 🙏🏽💖
As a Thai gay, i’m really proud to be born in this country. And for all LGBTQ+ people who suffering from homophobic your country is, i hope someday you move to live here legally! We’re always welcome! 🙏🏻🇹🇭
