- This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it's best extent. I'll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
Mechwarrior Online is a competitive first person shooter where you build and pilot massive Mechs and prove yourself on the battlefield. The game is based on the Battletech franchise, which originally was a science fiction tabletop game in the 80s. Big part of the game is configuring your loadout and find the best match of missile, ballistic and energy weapons for your playstyle. The weapon variety ranges from devastating autocannons over particle projectors to deadly arrays of laser beams. On the battlefield your team of 12 Mechwarriors fight the enemies on rather small arena-type maps. Teamwork is crucial here because a single Mech does not survive long if it steps in front a full firing line. Communication and teamwork is key on your journey to glory and victory.

I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

Yep same. Got back in after a long time and am better at playing than I used to be. Sadly now I'm now tier 5 and had a lot of matches with poor team performance again. I miss higher tiers a bit lol.
yeah they happily fucked it over with everything having ecm it seems these days or you can just run weapons at 1300 meter range and just sit and do nothing

Good to see the Marauder love even from here! It's been one of my favorite Mechwarrior designs, and this build looks badass
The unseen version looked better, but it also technically wasn't a "Mechwarrior" design. It was a near 1 to 1 copy of the Macross Glaug.
@@nikushim6665 Funny that yeah lol that's part of why I like the Marauder a lot. Classic one being essentially a Glaug Pod has its charm (and it looked pretty neat in MW2 on how it was rendered as such lol).
@@GuntanksInSpace The old ralphartha pewter minis for battletech were great. Though the marauder mk2 was a pain in the ass to glue to gather. Same with the warhammer. Though i think the worst was the Phoenix Hawk LAM (model after the valkyrie fighter) It had a figurine for all three modes. (Ground, hover and aerospace flight)

Love your content! Just discovered a new build thats just your style, that would like to see you try/cover: JM6-A w/ MRM40, 3xSRM6 (chain-fired), 2x LMG, 2xERmed, 250L or 255XL. May have to juggle armor/DHS/Endo-steel to get the 250L working well.

Yay the daily dose is back
I like the triple UAC 5 build with 4 MPLs. Little more range but it's like a clan rac with chain firing. The Maurader IIC is the assault mech I typically train people on. It's a great balanced assault mech.
More Marauder build is what I like to hear, love both the Assault and Heavy versions of that mech

Man I decided to set up this mech like that. Have had 2 games in a row with over 1k damage. What a beast.
I got a Direwolf with 2xUAC-20's and 6xMed pulse lasers, It's a monster but the effective range is on 300-400 meters.Gotta get in their face a bit.

Lots of light/medium teammates crossing in front without good reason. Gotta use zoom so it's not like we can see them before they're in the line of fire.

Why do this build on the A, the C has the 2 ballistic you're using + an extra energy slot?
How do your weapons cycle so fast?
Bara is it possible to build a catapult k2 with 2 er ppc and 2 racs 2
Just my two cents, but i feel like that build is a bit hot. I tend not to combine hot fire and flee weapons with sustained fire weapons that generate lots of heat over time. have you tried it with 2 rac2s, 4 medium lasers and 8 extra double heat sinks? almost 80kph if you go XL and you wouldnt get into heat trouble probably. (Might even get away with ER mediums or pulses) Happy meching.

So I have a direwolf and realized that it can hold more weapons and heavy ones also, also being modular so it really seems like my marauder IIC is pointless now, is there a reason to keep it?
Faster and more nimble than the Direwolf by far.
In addition to speed and agility Marauder has by far better hit-boxes and draws less aggro, especially from light mechs. I'd say that (depending on variant, though) MAD-IIC is still better mech for a quick play than a Dire Whale.

I, tool, prefer the IS to the clan mechs. Only for the radio voice though..... terrible.
Wait, so the MAD-IIC is 85 tonnes, but has better weaponry than the Inner Sphere variant, of which is 100 tonnes... What would it be like if there was a 100 tonne variant of the MAD-IIC? Mega Dakka? or stupid level of armour?
the IS version is 75 tons. The 100 ton version is called the Marauder II. Different mechs, same family. The names are confusing though :D
Marauder - 75 ton IS (The original)
Marauder IIC - 85 ton Clan (the clanners had many marauders when they went on their exodus and were fond of it, so built this mech inspired by it but larger and with improved clan technology. They did this with many mechs and other gear, all of these are denoted by the "IIC" designation which is commonly said as "Two See".).
Marauder II - 100 ton IS (a later creation based on taking an original marauder chassis and turning it into a 100ton assault mech. The II is just a roman numeral denoting the second complete mech in the Marauder series. The IS did not know the clans existed at this time and so the naming confusion with II and IIC).
I really really really want them to put a damn torso lock toggle in this game so I can actually stay on target while I'm walking and strafing. Why it's not in the game is beyond me. Flippin tanks we have now can do it, the mechs in mw5m can do it why, why can't we do it in this game.
