The hairs on my arms are standing and I was born in 1958 and this still is an epic Santana solo. You've got the Soul here dude! Whoa. One of the best live renditions and I've heard a lot of this Song of the Wind since I was 16. Thank You for the Vid. Awesome. Spot On. What bends on those highs. That's where my strings pop.
Worshipful, in the very best senses of that word. When I'm going under, there are three people who I can always turn to: Santana, Anoushka, and Luddy Von-B. You gotta FEEL this one. Thank you, a marvelous job - a CLEAN (enough) tone, a rarity these days among retro-classic recreations ~ "If it's the 60's or 70's, stomp on ALL yer fuzztones" ~ gaah! (Shot-in-the-dark: what's the big floor unit?)
Nice job. Why does the guitar player who's playing lead wear a James Taylor shirt? Excellent playing. I used to play this back in 1974 in a band. It was fun.
2016 Allenton show recording (from a cell phone I believe) doesn't do the actual soundboard recording justice. I have the sbd from that show and Song Of The Wind is stunning. Carlos and Neal played it beautifully. This recording is also excellent.
@@senders14 I wasn't referring to the quality of the sound but more to how close to the original recording it is played. The lead guitarist does a little bit of free wheeling towards the end but overall he pretty much sticks to the original version. However, Carlos and Neal at the reunion concert just free styled / jammed from beginning to end while randomly throwing in an original album version riff here and there. I believe you that the sound was great but to me it was very disappointing they hadn't made an effort to rehearse their own song so they could offer it the way we all fell in love with it. It would have made a LOT of people very happy to hear them play it the way they once recorded it. Just my 2 cents, opinions are subjective of course.
@@santanafan1713 I totally agree with you. This guitarist played all the melodies of the song. Amazing he could duplicate it so well. It is stunning and I'll listen to it a bunch. Peace hermano.

Gran bella interpretazione, c'è il "senso" di Santana!!!
Excelente maestro..
Excelente interpretación y especialmente bueno el guitarrista
Great version!
This live version of Song of the Wind , I think is acutely better than Carlos could have done it , minus the rhythm section.
Great job !

Thanks! I wore a Steve Vai t shirt, not James Taylor 😅
Wonderful! "Better than Santana's live version!".
Thank you ! I wish it was true, but I feel I'm very far from that... :)
No, it was fine enough for me. In your spare time, see our performance in the past....
Recordar es volver a vivir
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Played whith a Steve VAI T shirt 😛
These guys played Song of the Wind way better than Carlos and Neil Schon did at the reunion concert.

Excelente no hay más
Who is this band ?
I think they're called the Black Pirates, I was just a guest on lead guitar for that special show.
Thanks for the reply. Beautiful version.
