Over the past months I've dug into your video library. I came across this video and your observations on the dragonwalker instantly made me realize that is most likely the issue I have with mine.
I finally got to sit down with my childhood toy and find out today. So after a few times of removing the batteries, pushing on the connectors tripling cleaning the connection areas. I flicked the switch. Nothing. So a brief moment of thought that, maybe the motor is stuck 🤔 With a couple switch flicks and the gentlest shake, it came to life in my hands! I was and still am ecstatic! As soon as I heard the noise of the motor, I sat back in my chair kicking my legs and giggling like a toddler.
These moments are why I have always kept and collected toys. You really can't put a value on joy, and you brought a little more into the world for me today. Thank you so much!

I just want to thank you 'cause I've fixed my old Dragon Walker thanks to your video! It's pretty Amazing that it still works after 30 years!!! Now my son can enjoy this awsome toy too!!!
I learned on another video that the way you can prime the dragon walker motor is to put the head on the track and manually slide it down the track-it'll sound horrible and you'll cringe doing it, but that's what got mine running again after I ruled out the battery issue Michael talked about~

I loved seeing these vehicles working again. Got chills seeing the Dragon Walker do it's thing... both vehicles were such an interesting design.. Vintage He man stuff rules
Even as a kid I realized how impractical those vehicles were, I pretty much hated them but they are 80's classics. I really like the restoration videos on this site, it really helps to learn how to preserve your toys. Keep up the good work.

good thing you grabbed that dragon walker,it looked like it would have taken out the go bot command center,seriously it was cool to see these vintage vehicles come back to life,but that poor kitty didn;t seem to like the attack trak to much lol.

Thanks for the advice with these tips I got my Dragon Walker working bought it off EBay seller said selling it as a display piece ,but I wanted it working and these tips got it firing up again .

Michael, try using lemon juice to clean battery contacts. I use lemon juice to clean the battery contacts of my Canon flash units involving photography. I just use a q-tip and buy one of those "plastic lemons" you can find at any grocery store that has lemon juice and wipe/apply as needed. The acidic nature of the lemon juice neutralizes the corrosion. Hope this helps. Keep up the great work.

The best made Masters of the Universe vehicles, Attak Trak was He-Man's battle machine on the animated series "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" Attak Trak is a warrior transport. The REAL Attak Trak was used once in the early episodes of "He-Man" it was called Small Trak.
Wow. MOTU vehicles are very interesting. No screws... I wonder why?
My dragon walkers problem is the switch. You have to hold it pressed in to make the walker go. Was hoping maybe this would help but you can’t take apart the vehicle. Lol. Dang it

Both of mine are good...
The dragon Walker looks like it doesn't go straight because the legs start to spin before the top part does because the torque maybe if you put some grips on the bottom of the feet and maybe way the legs down a little more to create a grip on the feet you don't want too much of a grip cuz it's got to be able to slide to make the turn
Great video and helpful--and i appreciate it. Unfortunately for me, when i tried to clean my battery contacts, one snapped right off. I think my treasured dragon walker may be dead.....one of the internal tabs is almost entirely gone, and this on top of the fact that a battery leaked into the internal casing. I cant figure out a way to deconstruct it, and nostalgia is preventing me from throwing it out........thanks for the effort on this film though.

I got a dragon walker recently and could not figure out how the heck to get in there. I though I was supposed to push the coin in the slots and I didn't because it seemed so wrong. This makes much more sense but...what was wrong with a standard battery compartment? LOL

i had dragon walker. but my mom got me the monogram model kit attak trak. fit he-man fine and was cheaper.
I just got the walker in box for 34.00 at an auction but the box is mangled, it's still unopened. I was wondering if it was worth trying to patch the box up of put the whole thing in a acrylic display box
Actually there is one vintage MOTU toy vehicle that you CAN open by unscrewing it! the SPYDOR vehicle! please do a video on how to get the spydor toy to work again because I just bought one complete with all 6 legs both of its battery compartments are 100% clean & nothing seems to be broken but it wont work I believe its engine has seized up!? so Please make a video to teach how to get it running again ASAP THANKS!

Your batteries might be in backwards. Toy Polloi discovered this during his restoration.

It seems kids just want to play video games these days and aren't as interested in toys as they used to be, so there probably wouldn't be as much profit in it for toy companies, which really sucks cos I would definitely buy something like this if it were made today.

I am deaf, I can't hear you. I just bought one Dragon Walker near me in Comic shop today, it's working great but it turns reverse... how can I turn it forward?
@@timothyward8695 mine was reverse (backward). I found out that was the batteries backward and I turned it over and the Dragon Walker is turning forward.
