Nice work Tom. Still very early days so just be prepared for a few things you buy to just about break even or even lose a little, all part of the learning process.
Massive tip on auctions is ALWAYS do your research ahead of time and NEVER bid over the figure you’ve planned for... very quickly you can start eating into profit by getting carried away, sometimes you havr to just let those things go as tempting as it feels to bid another £10er
Yea I agree. I do write down what to bid up to before I go.
7:55 - Admittedly I'm no expert - but that "third party" PS4 controller might be worth looking into as it seems to be a scuf controller with back pedals. People pay lots of money to get them custom made. Usually companies take real controllers and modify them with back buttons etc. They can also sometimes replace buttons with their custom branding, similar to how the PS button on the controller looked to be swapped.
Might be worth looking at the internals to see if its a real PS4 controller that has been modified.
After slowing it down it looks like a scuf. Good spot!

Yea there was some really good ones in there. The only other guy bidding on them was a guy that goes to one of my car boots and if he wasn't there it would of probably only gone for about £50!

Great video once again! I have a fair few vintage cars that I just don't have the time to sort through from when I was younger, don't know if you're interested in them. Sorted them into bags by brand that's as far as I've got!

My knowledge on the value of things is very limited. I know a lot about gaming stuff but I've only just started to branch out into other things so i'm still leaning as I go.

Yea, normally the consoles go pretty high but I think I get these ones fairly cheap! Hopefully they work!
You definitely did. Last week in my auction there was a boxed n64, clear Turquoise n64 and ps2 all went for ebay prices
@@JonSheppardsells Yea there was a GameCube in my auction last week with Gameboy player and 4 games and it went for more than eBay prices even though the games all had manuals missing, the Gameboy player didn't have the disc that goes with it and the console was damaged lol May not of even worked. Crazy.

Keep up the great work - some great finds there. Hope you thinking about the tax owed to the Inland Revenue. Keep good records of your cost and expenses. Videos like these are great, but if you are running a resale business, you owe the taxman his share.

I test all consoles and controllers. I only test disc games if they are really scratched.

Once you have taped over your address label, does the address fade on yours? I have the exact same thermal printer, and I soon realised, the moment I taped over the label... it faded making it hard to read :(
Yup never tape over thermal labels it will fade within a day or two

don't tape over the address on the thermal paper. Exposure to sun will make the address unreadable. I go over the edges with tape.

@@TOMS_TAT I used to have a computer games business via market stalls, there was a boom in these dance mats for playstation one, at Donnington Sunday market there were other traders (non-computer game dealers) who jumped on the band wagon and sold these mats. The mats could be separate or come with the game

I have the same query, from a quick search, I don’t know that there is anything similar to what Tom has near me, all I get are housing auctions lol. 😅
As a youtuber I don't really want to give all my sourcing locations away on the internet as I'll be out of a job aha. But I know the one I use only has 3 locations down south and none up north. Best off googling if there are any in your local area.

Not sure how your managing daily sales like that, carry on like that and you'll be at the VAT threshold in no time, then your problems will start.
I'm listing 20 items a day and promoting all my listings by 2%. Q4 probably has something to do with it but yes I'm getting this consistently now.
I do get a lot of subscriber sales too.
Im a long way off VAT status. I was earning £300 a day as a carpenter and I was no way near VAT status even then.
Vat threshold been £85000, so if you had consistent sales of £233, over the entire year this would put you over the threshold
Good point. I didn't have worked booked in every day as a carpenter which is why I didn't hit the threshold.

@@JDLB Yea, unfortunately some areas dont have auctions. You can bid online with some auctions and they will post it too but then you can't view it before hand so kinda defeats the point.
