Excellent video, I'm just starting out as an eBay reseller and want to go full time like you. I wondered how long it took you, how much money you started with and how do you know how much of your profits to reinvest back into more stock so you always stay in profit? Or maybe you just spend a set amount of money on stock each week or month and stick to it perhaps. Just trying to figure out how to do this. Thanks.

Hi Tom - I have 3 of these and can pass on a piece of money saving advice. Get yourself a small spray bottle and a toothbrush. Before your first clean of the day, lightly spray all the pads with de-ionized water. After each disc clean cycle, lightly spray the pads again and quickly clean each one with the toothbrush. This may sound like a pain but literally takes seconds to do and will prolong the working life of the pads considerably. You are removing all the plastic and compound residue created by the friction on the discs and, as these pads are literally different grades of abrasive, the cleaner the surfaces the more effective and the longer they will last.... Try it and thank me later.!!

I would never pay top dollar for a resurfaced disc. A good eye can catch resurfacing too. A good way to tell if a disc has been resurfaced is to look at the inner ring area of the disc. Usually discs that have been resurfaced will look very "clean" on the part of the disc but the inner ring area will be filled with scratches and just look more dull/dirty compared to the rest of the disc. This is a dead give away that the disc has been resurfaced. Even though this expensive machine seems to do a great job at it, it's still a refurbished disc. The disc is longer the same after it has been sanded down. Its essentially missing some of it's plastic layer weakening the disc itself and making it more fragile.

I had to sell some things out of my collection too and ever since I did this. I buy a bulk of things and keep some or nothing then sell for a profit. 10+ years ago it was easy, then each year was worse and worse, these 2 past years were the worst with the increase of postage fees, listing fees, regulations, import fees and bunch of other nonsense. I barely buy stuff online and next to nobody buys stuff from me too when it comes to gaming items. Oh and with that also locally I barely can find anything since next to nobody is a gamer or collects anymore.

You make it sound easy. However, it’s not just a couple of hours at the boot sale, it’s your time travelling, testing everything, photographing it, listing it, packaging it etc etc. It’s still decent money but there’s a lot more involved than just buying it.

Those vintage/ antique saws that the guy u got the plane off some of them can be worth good money. Also when buying car stereos check to see if the bezel that fits into the car is there as often they are missing as theyre hard to get back out of the car. Been stung that way once only realised when i got a return request

This machine is awesome, I've had a playstation 1 game that was scratched it would freeze while playing, after I got the disc resurfaced I was able to finish the whole game

I got given one of those PS2 TEST consoles a fair while back. Got it from an uncle who had a friend that worked for Sony in Japan. I will have to drag it out and have a closer look at it, thought it was something someone had customized.

Great video Toms. I haven't seen anyone do an in-depth dive into this machine like you. I just got one used not too long ago. I knew the machine was good. Again, love the way you showed everything off. Btw, great set up. Oh, I had a question. I am looking at starting a resell business also. Do you change game cases often and if you do get a case, where do you usually get them? People seem to want the OEM cases but I can only find clones.
