- GreenLight Laser prostatectomy is a treatment for urinary symptoms related to BPH. There are several treatment options for BPH including medications, UroLift, Rezum and TURP. Not all treatments are suitable for all shapes and sizes of prostate and there are certain outcomes following these treatments which some men may wish to avoid. This video provides an overview regarding GreenLight and how it is devilered. Following the successful delivery of a prostate treatment it should be noted that obstructive symptoms such as a slow flow, intermittency, and a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying resolve first followed then by the irritative bladder components. If you have symptomatic BPH and are looking for a solution please discuss GreenLight and other options with your local doctor and/or urologist.
I hope this helps and good luck with your journey!

I had this procedure done four years ago. It worked really well to get rid of my frequency and urgency issues. Full recovery only took a few days. No pain experienced. Would highly recommend.
Excellent series of videos. I've learned a great deal about my BPH options from you. I am in the Caribbean and would travel to have my GreenLight done by Dr. Chabert if it were practical.
Thx again Colin 🙏🏻 good luck with your treatment
Hi Doctor. Great series of videos, appreciate them very much. If you were to choose between Rezum and Green Light, what would be your choice? Thanks in advance.
Both are good and the choice depends on the specific circumstances
SOUND IS DIFFICULT TO HEAR.
VIDEO IS VERY INFORMATIVE
Thx John. Working on the sound production 👌🏻
Hello, I have all the symptoms of BHP, like urinary tracts infections and getting worse. My doctor wants to do a cystoscopy which I have read is very painful during and after. I’m thinking of asking him to go ahead and do this type of surgery instead. Comments?
Hi thx for your question. A cystoscopy allows your urologist to fully assess the bladder and prostate. This can provide useful information before deciding on the best approach. Good luck👌🏻
What are the differences between holep and greenlight laser?
Hi Roger in essence they perform the same function which is to remove enlarged obstructing prostate tissue. Holep and GreenLight use lasers of differing wavelengths which have therefore slightly different properties. GreenLight is not absorbed by water whereas holmium is. Holep enucleates tissue GreenLight vaporises it. Hope this helps….
