I was expecting the classic parent reaction of Mama Alouette inmediatly going to destroy the angry kids but this even better. Mama does her best to give wisdom speeches to her daughter just like how Dad gives his best words to encorage Enna.
The bird family is so wholesome and are such badass people at the same time, no wonder Enna become the fool mouthed girlboss that we all know and love.

My father had similar reaction, when I told him that some kid started calling me narrow-eyes (I was born as an asian in Russia and experienced harsh xenophobia even from some teachers) in 2nd grade. Dad said that I should just punch him in the face. He taught me how to deliver a jab and I did it next day. My father later was called to principal's office and defended me. After that I changed schools to more prestigious with smarter kids, who didn't bully me.
Enna Mama saying "DO NOT BE AFRAID" is so in character with Enna being an Angel. I guess angels need the gumption in order to fight off evil and demons.

OMG, the same happened to me in Grade 4. I experienced my first black eye. I was hiding it from my Dad all day, and when it came that he found out, he was like "did you atleast punch back?"
I was so ready for a butt whooping, but my dad wasn't even mad or concerned. Asian parents.. sheesh..
Her mom is actually really similar to my mom (or maybe its just typical chinese mom). Even what they said are completely the same. Not long ago there was also an accident like this, My mom got angry at me instead bc i cant defense myself

Man wish that was my mum's advice. She told me to ignore them and walk away. Granted it did work since most of time they were just trying to be funny in front of their friends. But god I wish at least once I told them they were all racist assholes
