Psi Magnet is what makes Ness. It's an insane move
Nah. Its that dumb yoyo, magnet is just for combos
@@omegalilbchass8270 lol idk
I love Lucas & ness psi is essentially the mother version of star fox crews shine
@@omegalilbchass8270 Nah. Magnet is used for so much more than combos. Yoyo is irrelevant compared to it
@@omegalilbchass8270bro definetly hates Ness lmao
I think if I was given a year to learn this, under threat of death, I'd just die
Relatable comment is relatable.
Why are ultimate players so turned off by anything that requires more than two button presses. It really isn't THAT hard lol. Proper button configuration does wonders
@@sammyantha3334 Agreed. Even as someone who doesn't know all the technicalities Ness has, if I really wanted to, I could learn to pull this off semi-consistently in a few days
@@sammyantha3334 you must be very blessed at Smash. I wouldn't be able to do this reliably. No chance.
@@sammyantha3334 “proper button configuration” I’m not changing my controls to play ness, though I do already use L-trigger jump so I suppose that would be enough
If I was still playing Smash like I used to, I'd definitely try and learn this.
What happened?
@@nintendowolf got boring
@@nintendowolf Well honestly, I grew up. Not in the "these games are for kids" way. But mostly that the passion left. I still love Smash but I literally can't remember the last time I played lol. I just couldn't really commit to getting better than I already was (and I did play competitively too). When the Nintendo Online service came in it really killed my fun too since I couldn't go online for a while (no money at the time lol). It was just a downward slope from there.
I'll still play if my brothers are up for it but I'll never go out of my way to play it like I used to when I was a teenager. On top of that other games just caught my eye. From Street Fighter 5, to now Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (which is my current favorite fighting game rn).
Smash will always have a special place in my heart (been playing since Brawl). So if new content or even a new game ever comes out, I'll be all over it!
(Sorry for the essay lol)
@@pkjose1343 honestly super understandable and respectable
I wouldn't bother learning this because its a cheap way to win, I'm not in dire need to learn annoying tech just to win at smash bros of all games
I never noticed that the PSI Magnet animation makes Ness looks like he’s flipping off his opponent lmao
Oh my god it does
I’ll never be able to unsee that now, thank you
I cant unsee it aswell now _💀_
Bro I misunderstood flipping off the first time and rewatched the video looking for when he flipped litterally off Joker. You meant the bird though and I was just an idiot.😂
I love Ness more than before now.
Thank you lmfao
Ness is looking Melee Fox with that infinite
What fox infinite?
@@EluneMusic In Fox’s case in Melee, it’s multishining into a wall
@@kwaku7226 ah I thought you were talking about cross stage waveshining which isn’t an infinite
@@EluneMusic I think it’s possible to do this with Fox in Melee, but with a TAS
Waveshining is technically an infinite on some characters that don’t get knocked down by shine, fox has to be near perfect to go around the opponents di and sdi to keep it going
that's insane wth
Ness giving the finger
AH-HAAAAA! Now THIS I already know about. Psy-Magnet makes for some pretty cool combos, confirms, and kills.
The year is 20PSI
The year is a 199x. Everyone plays Ness at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on who has beaten Earthbound faster. The Rock Paper Scissors metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches. Humanity has reached its pinnacle. The low tier peasants are living in poverty. It seems nothing can stop the great leader of 199x, (I dont know competitive ultimate so just insert a good Ness player here I guess), and his army, the Ness monks who live in great monasteries where they levitate while TASing Ness with one hand, and winning tournaments with the other. The tournament metagame has gotten to this point where everything is played out to theoretical perfection, so tournament goers play Rock Paper Scissors for port priority, and that’s the game.
The leaders of the anti-20XX movement aim to keep 20XX from coming. These warriors include(I dont know what to put here). They are all fighting to keep the apocalypse at bay, the Ness apocalypse. But their efforts are futile. Their silly Byleths, Steves, Pythras, and Peaches are no match for Ness, the only viable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. Try as you will, but 199x is coming. Or maybe, it’s already here.
It's not that hard in training room if you know how to IDJ, but landing it in game with SDI and general pressure is very tough. I believe a few reps have been done in bracket, as a kill confirm.
Do you have a link?
Multimags have been done but with footstool only Nessboy has done it in bracket the footstool is the hard part about the infinite multimag is far more doable
Has this ever been used in tournament?
Bro is over thinking it. PK FIRE SPAM DUDE
Woah that’s me
It’s him 😮🫵
Omg 😱 Im a fan !
Omg hiiiii
*CRIES IN LUCAS*
underrated comment
@@lucashu1247 Makes so sense as to why they even created the bull, right?
The placement with Lucas would probably be more complicated, since his PSI Magnet is in front of him
@@L_HD Aaaaand ANOTHER odd stacked against the kid...
Lucas has insane combos too just look up Blucas
The Year is 2025: 3/4ths of the roster for SSBU have been banned from all tournaments due to a variety of Infinite combos, extremely hard to counter tactics, unexpected interactions, and incredibly powerful glitches. 2/3rds of all matches now consist of Bowser and Falco.
Edit: As I was typing this a new glitch has been found for Bowser allowing him to mash the control stick to have full control of his side special grab, kill the opponent, and recover using his neutral special without an SD. Matches now consist of just Falco.
Falco is the only fair character in the game.
Frame 1 Reflector: "Am I a joke to you?"
Flaco
Falco and pit are the only usable characters but no one uses pit
honestly, not the worst ending
The year is 2028: every character has been banned and we are now betting on level 9 cpus
This is a wave shine ✨
Oh great ANOTHER INFINITE
This is just evil 😂
This was surprisingly really simple to learn!
PSI Magnet gives Ness a lot of versatility. In addition to the DJC momentum stuff, the magnet also combos directly into most of his aerials for some nasty kill confirms.
Ness flips you off infinitely
Love how in ultimate the psi magnet animation is even closer to the animation in Earthbound
I can normally get about 3 in a row, getting the right height on the idj is so hard let alone trying to turn it around with a footstool and have them not escape
I call that move PK-DeleteEnemy
Almost like Wave shine in Melee. That's in interesting
I'm proud that I understand what footstool into cancel DIJ+reversed B is, but holy shit, thats hard to perform I guess. Will try it tho
Good old Melee waveshine flashbacks.
This, in a way, reminds me of Lucas’s DJCZ.
Honestly, seems like an easy thing to do if you have the right control scheme.
Psi magnet kinda looks like he's flipping you off
Reminds me of gun loops for Joker
An easy way to get the immediate double jump is to bind 2 jump buttons (which is usually default anyway) and press them both in quick succession, just not so fast that the second jump is inputted in the jump squat of the first.
I love Ness just flips his opponent the bird while infinitely locking them in a combo
Cuphead music goes hard when you’re explain Ness tech a lot of people don’t know that
And casual players thought PK fire was a problem...
Nah PSI Magnet isn't a problem tf?
@ʏᴏᴜᴢᴀɴ I was making a joke about casual players that complain about everything.
Definitely wouldn't be broken
Look at melee.. Is fox broken? I would definitely say no.
With certain character fall speed you can also do djc Fire> ff>Rising Mag
When psi magnet is used for things other than being a magnet
In S4 Would Look More Hillarious
Lucas has the same thing pretty much, but with the snake. Equally difficult to perform, but equally rewarding combo into FAIR
Lucas main here. Lucas doesn't have an infinite. Most characters can SDI out of our DJCZ snake chains easily.
Lucas leaves an open for every character to beat him up or outperform him... before, during and after his attacks.
Ness's PSI magnet in Smash Ultimate had such a much needed buff
this is like a more advanced waveshine like in melee lol
No problem for bat within 😍
I feel that this is very easy to do with tap jump and button jump at the same time
Its so hard to land a headjump for me.
I do it all the time randomly with Dr. Mario, but if I try to land it I can't
Is he flipping the bird while doing that 😂😂😂
Ness also another infinite which you have to press side-b over and over, much easier. All you need is to land one and you’re good.
Finally somebody says it.
Can't wait to see this happen in a tournament
New Fox Waveshine
This looks like it's only possible if you have up to jump and button jump at the same time, plus insane skills
Alternate title: how to lose all your friends
I wonder when this will be used in tournaments
Cause that the most highest priority move for damage is the dash smash so Iy extra overs dudes
Fox multishine!
Ness kinda look like is hitting The middle finger during PSY Mangnet
>honey, wake up. New multi shine just dropped.
Imagine tournaments a year in the future where when a ness is able to start the infinite, the opponent just drops his controller and leave.
This is just modern day wavedashing lol
And here I thought it was just PK fire…
Ness looks like he was sticking the middle finger.
Time to play ness now.
ness can go crazy huh
this makes me wonder
what would've happened to Diddy Kong's infinite if Nintendo didn't know about it until after they stopped patching the game
I remember it being patched out because it was used in a big tournament in the top 16 or smthng like that
The new shine
Smiles and Tears they said. They didn't tell us who for...
oh no, the ness mains can multishine now
Project Plus Lucas has trained me for this very moment.
How to give melee shine ptsd to your opponent lmao
Sure… just input frame perfect…
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
If it’s anything like Lucas’s DJCZ, the infinite itself isn’t all that optimal, but it’s a nice bridge into other combos/kill moves. Still nice to know about tho
I didn't know it was so good but I saw djc psi magnet from a Japanese player and have been labing it the past couple years
It looks like footstool part is all we need to 0 to death.
Of course, introducing the first part should be easier to start this combo.
I thought Ness was flipping Joker off for a sec there
Steve looking at this: ☠️
I never noticed till that ness flips a bird when he used that ability. Like screw you Samus.
There is a much easier (and more efficient damage wise) infinite that you can pull off with ness, you start by using side b, side b again for extra time, jump, do a side b in the air, side b again, rinse and repeat.
Interesting! I'm never using this lmao
Every time ive tried some new tech i see on youtube, i spend 4 hours straight failing, almost get it once, and just keep playing incinaroar.
What can be worse than a Ness with high skill level??
Beefy Smash Doods:
A kazuya with high skill level
Like this then that then this then that
Ah, good old Alpharad.
Why is ness flipping the opponent off?
The move will be so stale that the finisher will be a fresh stronger attack
This is WAYYY harder than it looks. It looks easy but it's not practical against human opponents.
Source: Me, a Ness main who has performed this a few times in an actual game.
you have not hit this in a real game my guy. this shit is not practical for a real game especially with awful connection. ruskiloops on the other hand are very practical
@@Walrus931How you gonna tell him what he has or hasn't done lmao. He said he's only done it a few times, I'm inclined to believe him.
@@Walrus931 I've literally done the loop, in a game, three times across FD. I then dropped the combo, only to miss my nair.
And yeah, I already said that it's super impractical, but that doesn't mean you can't do it. You can do it from a whiffed Fsmash pretty easily. It's even easier to setup while in the air. I've only done it in two separate games ever, then stopped doing it because of it's strict timing.
Impractical does not mean impossible.
@@Neosxmarduk even oetam has not hit this shit in a real game. unless you got a video i ain’t believing anything
@@Walrus931 I'm not an influencer, man. I don't record everything I pull in a game, even if it is good.
in the actuality, Ness is here mainly because of the PK Fire meem
Got damn
Steve: hold my diamonds
This feels like peachs old infinite from Sm4sh
I don’t want to see this happen to someone. But I want to see someone pull it off in tournament.
Jesus fuck this sounds so complicated 😂
I've always loved seeing double ness partners just infinite a person by just locking them in place between two magnets
All the people calling it 'Psy Magnet' and not "PSI Magnet" 😭😭😭
Now if only ness mains weren’t busy eating glue, maybe they would try and use this or any other variety with his moves. Instead of relying on the same crap they’re known for.
Ness has a waveshine
*5 years later*
NEW TECH ALERT!!!!!!
wild
What real human has ever performed this especially in comp smash, or hell, even against level 9 cpu
It's easier to PK Fire to roll loop for ~%100, it's a true combo
Is terrible that ness has 2 moves that make you go, lets rinse and repeat this!
Well, let's see if I can piss some people off. Who does it work on?
Looks very hard
