Agreed! I’ve learned so much!! As a disabled criminal Justice degree holder who once aspired to be a lawyer before my body took over Lol! I am just intrigued as can be by this entire case! And to think I had no plans of watching the trial. I just woke up in lots of pain that am needing a great distraction and saw the start of the trial and was like huh okay why not?! As a DV AND SA survivor this bas been such a ride. I’m so thankful so many amazing lawyers have taken on this trial and broke it all down for us. Peter is definitely among the best imo! Johnny’s life was on the line because his kids were brought into this and his kids are his life.
His daughter said “I don’t have to give an answer for anybody” when asked about him. Nothing.
@@bordendonna yes but Johnny wanted to clear his name so mud doesn’t stick to his kids and the press would leave them alone as that woman had brought them into their problems
@@cindyfaulkner5725 Johnny said, his own words, "I'm going to give her global humiliation." This is what Johnny wanted. He said, "she's going to hit the wall hard." His name isn't clear. He was fired from multiple projects for substance abuse....not showing up, can't remember lines...can't walk, can't talk. The only way he can "win back his reputation" is by going to rehab, getting honest and living by some honest principles. This is how you rebuild your reputation.

Quite different, he said she was not he was going to, in other words she was doing it to herself.
I wonder what texts and messages she sent, but she refused to give over her technical equipment unlike Johnny who provided everything. He also owned up to his drug and drink problems and didn’t deny that he had problems, where as Ms Heard did not own up to anything she did even thought there were hours of recordings showing she was the aggressor.

I still love his MEGA pint comment. It was obvious that his statements were not rehearsed. Just authentic and he allowed his natural humor to emerge! 🙏🏼💞🌹
Yeah, if he had "rehearsed," he would have testified better. He couldn't remember the second franchise he was in, remember? When Jessica asked him what drugs he took at the wedding, instead of just saying weed, he launched into a lengthy discussion about how he didn't take ecstasy because he would have needed so much more of it than they had! Face palm knowing that they would say he took 8-10 tablets in Australia. That was an unforced error on his part, luckily Amber's team didn't use that against him.

I have watched since the start of this trial and I’m 42 so not a Johnny depp pirates fan but a nightmare on elm street Edward scissorhands fan and I love watching this. Keep them coming. Love from Ireland 🇮🇪

I don't think oj and jd comparison is really fair. Criminal vs civil.
We should all appreciate an unsung hero: Jessica Meyers. Another strong woman for girls to follow. And for boys, Mr. Chew. He was amazingly calm.
I feel invested in the story. Before the trial I really didn't use UA-cam. My daughter said I was just a Depp fan. I didn't think so. So I looked around and found the Body Language Panel, Spidy not to mention The Lawyer I Now Know. Suddenly new horizon had presented itself. That being said I do want to see it through. I look forward to seeing the end of PR parade for relevance. I really enjoy your take and the way you explain and share opinions.

I knew I love 2 of JD's movies: "Ed scsrhands" (Im a big Diane Wiest fan) & "Benny & Joon" (filmed in my city- tho they seemed to have gone out of their way to showcase the most rundown, icky spots of Spokane) ANYWAAAY...I just never found him particularily applealing or one Im drawn to. So, your daughter might be surprized that there are other women besides you that are healthy, as well as straight, who've never SWOONED over JD, or even knew much abt him til this trial. I didnt even know he was with A.H. (I'd vaguely heard her name b4), that he had kids, about Ms.Paradis..none of that. So no bias here. If anything I thot I'd be on A.H.'s side. Girls stick together & alla that. But there's just no way after watching the court hearings, that any mentally/emotionally sound person could side with A.H. if she hadnt lied, exaggerated & made up a bunch of stuff & just stuck with the truth, Im certain she'd have won, bc even tho she'd relentlessly poke the bear, we saw/heard forms of abuse from JD. if ya wanna be petty & technical about it by CALIFORNIA law, but nooowuhh..she had to go & push the envelope & make up outrageous stories (i.e., broken glass bottle/s.a. stuff..or ANY s.a. nonsense & MORE) and consequently, she h#ung herself with her own rope. A.H. did this to herself. 😔. Fool fool fool.
(Deer Park is a tiny town just 30mins N. of Spo if you noticed the "Deer Park Ambulance" in B & J.) Its so weird seeing such familiarity in ones own town/city.
To be fair, re: your first question. Johnny's team did have a lot of help from Amber herself, as well as ALL of her witnesses. The reason I beieved him, was she kept saying that he controlled her, monitered her, kept her from devices that could show proof. Then she recorded him having a meltdown, and when he caught her, he didnt take it from her, didnt delete it, just smacked the phone, and left it there for her to use. Not to mention all her firends living right there. She is full of it. Just so everyone knows, liked Johnny ok, not a huge fan before, but am now. Never even heard of her, no pun inteded, before the trial started. She seemed just like Dr Curry and Johnny described. Very unbelievable.
I still want you to review everything about the Depp v Heard trial. I’m interested in your thought. I get a lot from your point of view.

19:30 but amber didn’t pay her bill. Johnny did pay his. That’s a big difference when you don’t have to pay for 80 depos I said from the beginning when she kept filing motions that she was trying to get him to quit bc it was costing so much.
Johnny Depp's Team by far had the harder job.
Poor Wayne hardly gets a mention but I thought he was great
Ok, now that I'm over my disappointment at missing the live guys, I'm fully part of the research crew. I would say Johnny Depps team had it harder. OJ was clearly guilty but there were some major mistakes made by the prosecuting team in the OJ case.
I don't believe for a nanosecond that Johnny didn't tell his truth so this isn't an issue for me, but he is amuch, much better actor than the wannabe but not actor AH.
Regarding using movie quotes, I tell people I often speak and think in song quotes so I like this part of the interview.
It was interesting to watch. And being a fan of Johnny Depp for years, he was/is my husband's and my favourite actor, I could never get enough. I lost my husband to cancer many years ago but I can only imagine how angry and upset he would be with AH.
Before the trial it was JD's team, after AH opened her mouth it was her team. She lost her case by going way over the top in her accusations.

Love Peter’s input to the interview. The only one I watched reacting to the interview, to the point and adding value. Sometimes I disagree with Peter but that makes me respect him even more, he doesn’t offer the most popular opinion, but his own ❤
Think we can learn a lot from these guys and it's nice to see how your justice system works as opposed to here in the UK
Only people who never watched any of the numerous videos on Johnny's case thought Johnny had no hope.
As a Brit I feel the English libel case result was a travesty, disgusting and should be overturned. I’m ashamed of our system.

I'm in Christmas movie mode, so I'm here as part of the rewatch crew! Merry Christmas !🎅🎄
The "physical" @bu$e is what's relevant in this case. Why? Several reasons, but for one, she didn't appear at the courthouse "two years ago..." depressed and crying because JD hurt her feelings or to file a TRO to protect her from his words....no, she showed up with some bruise a week after she last saw Depp, claiming that he PHYSICALLY hurt her. Secondly, she decided "two years later" that the M2 movement was gaining traction, so she started throwing in SA allegations and just happened to title the OpEd with it. I mean come on, what else could she have been referring to when she said she faced our cultures wrath?? She was far more emotionally @bu$ive than JD was as well. Did he say some things he shouldn't have to her? Sure. In what relationship have you ever not? Did he lose his temper and act out to some cabinets when he found out people he trusted the most were stealing from him? Absolutely. But even after she was CAUGHT filming such a personal and terrible moment for him, he didn't touch her...didn't get in her face screaming, no - he picked up the phone and threw it away or whatever, and then walked off. She wasn't scared...she was instigating him. She was loving the chance to get footage to later use for blackmail or whatever she needed it for. The things we have proof of her saying DIRECTLY to him was emotionally scarring. The worst things he said...the terrible texts, etc....they weren't said TO AH. They were said to friends, doctors, etc. So those "gotcha" moments weren't even Emotional Ab, because they weren't directed towards her. She wouldn't have ever heard them or seen them had it not been for her writing thr OpEd. She needed to stay the center of attention in the public, needed to refresh her victim persona, needed to be on a pedestal for the world to admire....and it finally backfired. I do think part of it is because of mental illness, and I hope she gets help for it. But a lot of it is just being a self obsessed mean natured person. But all of this is to say the physical aspect is very relevant because that's where her lies began - that's what she wanted him crucified for - that's the false image he suffered from.
Prosecutors! Defense has reasonable doubt on their side.

Depp team's job was more difficult because it is assumed that a man is always guilty .

I’m thinking OJ’s team had a harder job because the public believed OJ was guilty but we were behind JD all the way. Even though the courtroom juries operated independently from the public opinion, the lawyers themselves had to be affected by the circus outside the courthouse doors

The counselor back tracked on mutual abuse a bit later on. She was getting the story from Amber and realized it was only Amber's words. I believe her notes showed she hadn't spoken to Johnny I some time while hearing from AH and changed the view after taking a look at the relationship outside of just Amber's words.
The counselor testified she saw bruises and broken lip on Amber …even though she appeared very old school…she did admit this and stated they were abusive to each other. Oops….no defamation
The op-ed alluded to her accusations about physical abuse and sexual abuse. This trial was about that, not the uk case where she made additional allegations. Given Amber's history, there is every reason to believe she was capable of manufacturing evidence to try and convince others that Johnny was physically abusive.
@@margaretyoung1215 just ignore the testimony of 11 witnesses . 3 different UK Judges found the hero is a wife beater. It is like OJ like Vinny said.
@@margaretyoung1215 defamation by implication is hard to prove….even according to Depp’s own attorney who accidentally let that out in their interview. Many attorneys disagree that it was proven in this trial. She did not mention his name or the marriage or any details of the TRO. She talked about events over the course of her life. Simply saying two years ago does not prove it’s Johnny Depp. Her speech is not going to be put in that little box because Depp’s rage was triggered in the UK and long before that.
@Donna yeah but your argument is Smoot. She admitted it was about JD more than once. Nice try though. Sorry your admiration for Amber has blinded you to the truth. She tends to draw a fan base from people who have similar personalities as her. That's very scary that there are a handful of people that think AH is innocent. Guess it's good the jury had sane people who looked past her fake pictures and false testimony 🙄
