I need 3/4 length one piece fairing wrapped in carbon fiber wrap to match the real carbon fiber tank shell and tail section that i have for my 2004 gsxr1000 dragbike. How much would that cost?
You can do it either way. I’d say if you’ve got the time and a buddy taking them off might give better results. But if you’re alone doing it on the bike would be better to keep it steadier.
Ended up winning a Show bike contest with it so I decided to keep it for another season going to enter another one august 19th! hah. Nice I just did my car (Scion FRS) in the new 3M 1080 psychadelic holographic wrap it looks nuts
mad respect to whoever can do this lol I've tried so many times and can't keep bubbles out, shops around here want 3grand to gold chrome wrap my bike... i could buy like 4 sets of fairings for that😂
honestly its easier to keep it steady. we did my other bike gunmetal grey and we took the fairings off and tried strapping them to the ground so they didnt move etc and it took hours to remove the bubbles. when you do it on the bike it holds steady and you just un clip the fairings at the end to get the wrap around to the other side. hard part is the tank with chrome because you cant stretch it much or you lose the reflective look.
its fairly easy to wrap a bike it just takes time. The chrome or gold chrome you will have a hard time around big curves like the tank because unlike normal vinyl if you stretch the chrome more than even a cm you start to lose the mirror look. Just a heads up.

I get about 2 messages a day and of that about 8 came down to see it they all love it but dont want to pay the price. Were just trying to make the cost of the upgrades back (wrap, exhaust, tail and lights, etc etc) and then were going to take a newer ninja and wrap that gold chrom next hahahahaha
OK, cuz I just bought a 929 for 1k and I'll need to fix her up for about 1500, but I was just wondering if wrapping in these chrome vinyls adds much value
Yeah for sure they sell stock for about $3500 stock with over 50k kms on it. the wrap doesnt do much for value other than protect the fairings and paint so when you sell you could remove the wrap and sell a new looking bike etc. we did chrome for the wow factor and for fun. the resale in this particular 929 is that it has brand new stator, rectifier, battery, exhaust, levers, lights, shaved tail kit, shaved mirror kit etc etc the wrap just gives it something no one else will ever have but thats about it!! if we hang onto it we may stretch the swing arm in the back and remove the passenger pegs and seat maybe put some woodcraft bars on it and then put it in shows for fun we did that with the last one till we sold it too.
all done on the bike, great. great choice of wrap color. thanks
Thats sick. love the way it came out. would love to do this to my f4i
Wow! Blown away! Amazing work guys
hey man is the wrap still sticking around the corners?
How much wrap did you end up using? Looking to wrap my gsxr soon.
How do u cut the edges of the chrome

Sweeeeet !!! I learnt something, no tearing down of the bike’s parts. I didn’t know it was done that way ? :)

@@halcyonaut_ yea exactly. It depends on parts some times too.
Where did you get the wrap?
Hi, what is the make of this vinyl please? I’ve tried 2 different brands of wrap to do my cafe racer tank, and not having the best of luck! Cheers
That’s cool that you didn’t have to take off the fairings
Hey I see the ads gone, did you sell it? and did you get what you wanted out of it? I'm wrapping my 929 in holographic chrome

Just wow
How many CM did it took to wrap everything ?
we used an 8ft by 4ft roll
Where you buy the wrap?
Looks like the Terminator 🙂
Is there a vinyl supplier in Hamilton? I can't find anyone local that sells it.
The guy who does my wraps is from Hamilton but he gets it direct from 3M in Mississauga I believe
How u polish this?
chrome polish on the actual chrome, vinyl cleaner on the wrap
How much wrap did you use.
it was a 4ft wide by i believe 8 or 10 ft roll. keep in mind parts of the bike were already chrome too.
Why dont you take the parts of the bike?? Is it a better result by doing it while the skirt is attached to the bike...??

Its not that hard if you have the right help and some beers, If you are doing it just yourself you will have some issues.
