Very good tutorial!!! ♦️♠️♥️♣️ Might be very useful somewhere in the routine on the table, while lifting up the deck. It would probably make sense from the point of the deck orientation relative to the body...

It says in the "Expert at the card table" description of the "S.W.E. shift", it was named after "our" initials. Doesn't this imply that the book was written by more than one person. This sleight is just a reversal of the Charlie pass... yes?

i dunno, its nice to do, but im a big fan of the classic pass, which is the same kinda method to control the card. and in my opinion the classic pass looks cleaner and its faster. but still im gonna learn the swe shift xD. thx for the tutorial. im still trying to imrove my dps and make it faster, which is actually also a very clean and invisible controll and very very usefull as I found out, when i was performing it
thx xavior for all ur awesome tutorials and that u teach us so much awesome magic

the move isn't hard.. after you've got the knack .. it's the get ready that's hard.. you can't just pull the back down.. it's explained in the book.. read the other shifts firsts as some of the thinking needs to be applied to the swe, they dont explain it in the instruction .. so don't skip straight to it and don't hold a thumb break.
it's a pass.. it's used for the same thing as any other pass ..
Steve forte does this exceptionally.. think it's on his dvd..
thanks for the vid.. not much on you tube about this pass. the instructions are a bit off but every little helps ..
    peace

This makes no sense to me. If you're pushing the bottom packet against your pinkie (while holding the break) then how do you pull the top packet off with the same pinkie? If both packets are against the pinkie, then they both move with it?

@@XaviorSpade okay fair enough. But why the incredulity? The shift is a very effective way to achieve the shifty effect. So in response to your question "why would anybody want to use this" I would appeal to the Kenner effect: "here's why you want to use it!"

Lol I don't believe you either and the fact that you just had to attempt a boast about it really just tells us a whole lot about you and what kind of 'magician' you really are. Probably not one I would ever pay to go and see. I would try and shift my perspective and approach if I were you. It is not a contest and you absolutely cannot get any move down perfect until youve been up and down and all around in exploration of the move and given your fingers a whole lot of muscle memory and repetition so it isnt just an opinion that you wont have it perfect that quick, it just cannot be done. You can have some semblance of emulating the technical moves but theres so much more to any sleight than exact technical emulation.
