@@Darth_Supaku It is random in which order you get the first three worlds (that is, if we don't count the labyrinth as it's own world), with N'erud arguably being the nastiest for a new player. To add to the randomness, you also don't get the same starting point and world completion quest every time you play through the story. I had a completely different final boss on N'erud.

Honestly remnant 2 looks more fun the 1. I was playing 1 with my buddy and honestly we got kinda bored after midgame.

I love how world order, dungeons, and world bosses can vary between players. It's such a neat concept.
Also, multiplayer doesn't require bells or embers or a Shit Of a Thousand Anuses to do, you just invite your friend and rest at a crystal
The fact that multiplayer is so seamless, and that you can play through the entire campaign as one session, (rather than having to rejoin after every boss, or having sections be "solo only"), is the biggest thing that I wish From would copy in their games.
That, and for me personally, the fact that there's no pvp. I like pvp when it's something you can choose to do, but having it mandatory when you're playing coop like From games do just makes the coop experience worse in my book.

Nerud, the first world you had, is one of the less impressive worlds. Every playthrough starts you with different worlds, has you progress to different worlds, and even has different versions of those different worlds. Entire optional bosses are hidden in different versions of the world that you can only get to by having a different playthrough, re-rolling the world in adventure mode, or by going to new game plus. The game has a LOT of replayability, and at higher difficulties you see more variety in enemies and their move sets change as well. Definitely recommend, and its more fun to play with friends.

honestly the final boss felt pretty straight forward to me, I mean it has one weird mechanic but the attacks are really well telegraphed and the whole fight is just so so cool
@@DaveDotEXE The final boss was perfect for me Imo. i can see it being hard to understand but as somebody who watches Max0r and games at the same time it was the perfect amount of stimulation.
The best part about this game is how its procedurally generated. So you can replay and get totally different bosses, items, etc. and get a different experience every time.
Also there is always a purple item (a ring or amulet) randomly placed in each dungeon and overworld section, on top of some loot that is scripted to certain tile sets.
True, random gen worlds got the replayability for w when it comes to changing difficulty or helping friends in coop
Its so much better from remnant 1 where every goddamn intersection is procedurally generated so you walk down the same street over and over and go devaju., i have been to this place before.
At least in remnant 2, they procedure generate much larger map tiles and/or fixed dungeon maps so the levels are more coherently designed instead of being the same 3 street intersections over and over but you come from different sides.
A few other tips/things to note:
- You might not know it the first time you play when jumping into the game without knowing much about it, but the levels are procedurally generated to an extent. So replaying them with friend's or rerolling the world (below) means you'll have a different experience each time.
- Once you defeat a world boss, you can play that world in "Adventure Mode" back at the Ward's crystal to reroll the entire world for new bosses, new dungeons, new side quests and sometimes completely different storylines for that world
- world bosses have alternative versions based on dialogue choices you make, side quests you completed, or items found. This incentivizes rolling the world in Adventure mode to fight them for their different boss drops
- The "Aberration" bosses (normal enemies but red) have random "boss suffixes" (the words above their health bar) that change up how they play or what extra mechanics they have, allowing for some variety when replaying those dungeons

like you said this isn't obvious unless you research the game and I can't help think it would have been better to just add that "alternative" content as extra mandatory levels. I'd rather just play through a game once and see all the cool stuff, rather than having to go into some special mode to re-roll the levels and hope I get some new stuff. Seems weird to me

@@r6scrubs126 It's all about replayability though, if you want a shit load of content just play something like AC Valhalla and then get bored. Games like these allow the main character to progress with better items and builds throughout multiple new game + while constantly varying the experience.

Don't forget that Remnant is random generated to a degree, so your start on N'erud was the one of the last places I went to on my first playthrough as well as you fought alternate versions of bosses. Also, you have to break the shit in the maps to get more loot, you find more important things from exploring and finding purple lootables, but almost everything is breakable and most of the time drops extra scrap
When I started playing this I referred to learning a bosses moveset as downloading it like your Jedi videos. Love that terminology man good to see you in Remnant

Remnant's hole gimmick is that you have procedural generation with a plethera of secrets. Illusory walls, hidden pressure plates, alternate boss kills. On top of your world boss can be different, and each world has a list of possible side dungeons, all with secrets. In a single playthrough you barely scratch the surface of what this game has in content

Losomn is one of my favorite areas ever in video games. The fact that it has intentional architecture and such cool lore is just mwah. It does so much in so little time. I feel bad that Zanny missed out on so many weapons and trinkers though lol.

Don’t forget everytime you reset the worlds you get different area in those worlds. You can also go on adventure mode to farm a specific world

This is the one game me and my buddy look for randoms to help out in the game. I love teaching people the intricacies of the game. It’s so rewarding to teach people there is different ways to do bosses and that dungeons are something you have to look for just like loot

I loved Ne'rud. Mainly because the atmosphere and setting. Also learning about the backstory of it during my respective procedurally generated story of it was very depressing and at the same time super interesting.

In the first one, you would usually pair heavy armour with regen rings/ talismans and then an AOE weapon(usually melee) and a ranged weapon that deals high damage and then either a support weapon like the pistol that steals health or one that just holds abilities. Great tank build. As long as you didn't stand still, you didn't need to dodge. Just tank through it and steal the life from bosses/ minions

I haven't played the game yet but I'm already in love with the challenger class. They really just went "the scrapper wasn't based enough, turn that s*it up a few notches". Simply fantastic, I love it.
The only thing that would make it better is if they made a trait called scrapper, just for an uno reverse meme.
The order and version of the first three worlds you get are randomized. My first world was Tal'Ratha N'Erud, and my friends got the two different versions of Losomn.
Altogether it's a much better experience with friends because you get to the variety faster.

nearly 80 hours in and there is always more to the game. there are multiple stories for each world that get randomly selected for you so there are always new dungeons, locations, and bosses all with their own unique rewards.

In case you weren't aware, the starting location is randomally rolled so where you started is different from where I started, and there are two main storylines you can get for each world besides the labarynth. Also, if you did three dungeons in that world, you barely played it at all, there's so much more there. I'm also not really sure what you mean when you talk about there being the same enemies, Remnant has more unique enemies than any game I've ever played.
And so the dynasty continues
