Glad you found your cool. Today I also drove to 3350 meters (elevation) to ski mtn in Colorado for heat relief (only 22 degrees high temp) - but sun is so intense so high. And Monarch pass is on a main road, so many vehicles, bikes, motorcycles, etc on Sunday afternoon. Everyone wants to drive so fast up the mtn (except me ;-^) There is a Walmart in Truth or Consequences, NM with covered parking. The only time I have found this. I always wonder why they don't do this more and cover the roof with solar?
Driving culture in Albania! Haven't been there for more than 10 years, but there were more carriages than cars back then. The LPG was really cheap though, half the price than in Greece. Try watermelon with feta cheese, or white cheese if you haven't got feta any more.
Next month is september already and then the horrosrs of summer are finally gone! 26 is so nice and refreshing, now we can actually do something and not just sit on our asses and complain how hot it is 😆 Stay cool and remember: winter is the reward we get surviving summer!

So many cars in Albanian roads compared to Greece, where is basically empty roads. Watermelon with feta cubes tastes heavenly. We miss Greek food!

Thanks for your comment. The biggest reason we skipped the sea was too high temperatures (+40 degrees) we wanted to escape the heat to the mountains.
sure in finland melon costs 20 cent/kg, tomato 80 cent/kg, cucumber 50 cent/kg, beef 9 € /kg, hamburger 2€, pizza 5€.

Do you ever turn your van on at night to put the AC on just to cool down when it is so hot?
We use AC only when driving. We just try to get used to the warm air, usually temperatures drop during night.
