It’s called a flap wheel. I got it at Ace hardware. It’s has 120 grit sandpaper flaps and scotch brite pads sandwiched between. It’s looks similar to these I found on Amazon minis the scotch brite pads. a.co/d/bgJG3ta
I'll give you props for doing a budget kit vs that $125 kit. A safe as you made it, i thought it still looked like a weapon...then you shot the plug out! LOL.
Be sure to seal you’re hose clamps well, i attempted this today and mine blew off. It may have caused air to get under my skin, i am unsure. Just keep that in mind everyone. Next time I attempt it i will be wearing a long sleeve shirt and tapping my welding gloves around my arms, i will also be wearing my welding mask 😅
The fittings should be duct taped also to keep them from potentially flying off. I would also wear welding gloves and not over pressure the pipe. Also point the ends away from you when doing this method.
That’s why I used tie wire and tape incase something fails. I also don’t have the ends pointed at my face. The tool is probably a better option for you. I just did this as an alternative to the tool.
Sweet bike. It looks new for a ‘96. Great video.
Thanks
Awesome. Very well presented. Thank you!
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback
Thanks for the video and nice looking CR.
Thanks. It cleaned up nice. It sat in the shed for about 8 years. Just did a partial restoration and got it going again
Another way is to fill it up with water block the ends and freeze it.
When frozen it will expanded and pop the dent out.
I’ve seen this before. Maybe in a future video I’ll try this method.
What was the size of expansion plug you used?
It was 1” to 1”1/8
how did you clean up the pipe so nicely at the end? the wd-40 + scotch brite trick i know of would have taken an eternity

It probably took me 30 minutes to clean up and I did spray it with wd-40
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyle thanks!

Thanks. I would probably buy the tool for this if I had to remove dents all the time.
Thanks
No problem

Boooooooom watch your pressure
It probably hit 90 for a second before it leaked back down. I would not go higher than that.
All cool until the pvc cap comes flying out one day and hits you in the face.
