How to Refinish a Bathtub and Save Thousands of dollars!!!
WHY........................ So you can have a warm seat when you poop. I love the Bidet, I have a regular one in my bathroom. So your butt will be warm but the water will still be cold I do not get it ??
It heats the seat and the water. I didn’t think it was necessary at first but love it now.
U didn't remove the toilet. I thought it was mandatory. What r the rules there? I really don't want to mess with the toilet
Yes remove the toilet. The one in the video was being replaced and I didn’t care if it got damaged. l like to leave them on as long as possible to be able to use the bathroom if needed.
You need it removed to get all the flooring up
Turn on all your faucets after turning off the water! DING DING
That help the water drain out of the pipes upstairs.
I wonder how many people happen to have an outlet directly behind the wall? !
That all depends on the house layout
Worked like a charm 😊
That’s good 👍🏼
I just did this in my bathroom but it was way harder than the video. I was removing slate tiles and I think that might have something to do with the difficulty….whew!
The lifting hoist is genius. How do you transport a 16 feet long beam or any 2x wood that are longer than 8 feet long back from the big box store or lumber yard unless you had them deliver?
Thanks. I have a lumbar rack on my truck. I use it for 2x4 and 4x4 that are longer than 8 feet. The beams in the video was bought buy the owner and delivered.
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I followed your instruction and installed the bidet outlet in the exact same way. But the bidet outlet keeps tripping the GFCI outlet. Can you help? Thanks
Is the GFCI outlet in a different bathroom like mine is? Or did you add one by the toilet? You might have a bad GFCI. It happens sometimes right out of the box. Also try plugging the bidet into a different outlet with an extension cord to see if it works. Also check to see if the gfci is wired properly. The hot wires coming into the GFCI go to the line side and other outlets protected by the GFCI go to the load side of it. Let me know how it goes
@@TheUltimateHandymanKyleThanks, I figured it out. My bad, I put the hot wire to the input side of the GFCI outlet 😅
One hazzard with that method; chipping a cam lobe. Seen it happen. Heat the cam gear up in a induction cooktop pot filled with motor oil to 350F. Use freeze spray for the end of the cam.
I like the induction method. I hope to never do this again. I feel like having multiple spots on the cam was enough support to not break a lobe. Motor has been fine. I get what you’re saying. This jobs made me nervous.
I need to change out my shut off valve, but I’m also having a tough time with a single handle American Standard faucet attached above. I keep trying to loosen the set screw for the handle with the Allen key. I can’t see what I’m doing in there. It doesn’t feel like I’m hitting the screw.
There could be corrosion on the Allen head. Try cleaning it out and spraying it with a penetrating oil to loosen it up. Worst case scenario you have to cut out the facet.
I just pulled like a family of rats from my shower drain. Thank you for coat hanger idea!
No problem
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
❤ great job sir and thank you so much. This helped me out on them most difficult install today and I bought the Can-Am’s and got it done.
That’s great to hear. Glad I could help.
Outdoor panels are the most boneheaded dangerous set up ever. Asking for vandalism. Can you imagine going away on vacation in the winter and someone kills your power leading to busted pipes. We live in a different time.
You must live in a very cold climate. Pipes don’t freeze where I I’ve
🤚😁👍thank u so much for your video ,very helpful, blessings 🙏😁🥰🦋🦋
Glad it was helpful.
Very good job. Thank you for explaining and telling us the tools that you used. Im going to be removing the black grout on my bathroom floors and putting white
Thanks. Good luck with your project
You just saved me 🙏
That’s great to hear. Im glad I was able to help
Thank you so much!

Hi, love the video and instructions, thank you! Do you think it is alright to use plumbers tape for the T-connector in the back or will it get in the way of the washers inside the connector, if any?
Thanks. You don’t need the tape. The rubber washer or o ring is what seals it
Great video, I wish I had known that BrassCraft sells a Stem repair kit for the multi-turn valves. Valve was leaking and needed to turn it off completely to fix toilet. I spent $30 plus dollars on the repair when I could have just repaired the Stem inside.
Thanks
Great video! Explained it so well that even someone like myself can do it. Going to go get one of these right now!
Thanks.
Just noting, is the hinge upside down?
No
thank you so much🎉🎉
Glad to help
Cool!
Thanks for watching
So because that outlet is already GFCI from another outlet elsewhere, then can just use a regular outlet? Want to verify because my bathroom is the same way. My vanity is regular outlet but it has a GFCI outlet on it to the downstairs bathroom. I just tapped into the vanity outlet for the toilet and installed a regular outlet.
Yes you can use a regular outlet. The new toilet outlet should be protected by the other bathroom GFCI. You can check by testing the GFCI to see if it kills the power to your new outlet.
I figured I had to find a way to mount to the studs??? no?
If your lucky you could mount it to 2 studs. Usually you can mount a towel bar to one and use these anchor for the other side.
Consider dropped forged eye bolts, they are much stronger and far less likely to let go at the wrong time.
I know. I figured the most weight on each eye bolt was around 250 to 300 pounds. If the beam was heaver I would have beefed it up more
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overkill for your jig attachment point? All you needed was an offset steel lip. Connect that to your hoist jig I'm going to let that ride the lip of the saddle. You could also do the same thing with a with a 180° hook with maybe a 1-in inset. Then you could just use two straps as none of them are carrying the static force. The top one would just make sure that it doesn't move and then the bottom strap would have to be rated for the leveraged wait divided by 2 for the Beam. With that you don't have to drill any holes into the structure and its fast to remove.
I wanted to make sure there were no problems. Better to be safe than sorry.
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
Buy a tripod
I have one. Sometimes I don’t have it with me.
Could you use this for hanging a decorative shelf too?
Definitely.
What happened to the Ferrell ring for the small connector? I see the closed ball but not the ring for the small part for hose connection was it used ?
No. That’s only used if you have a metal supply line. You don’t use it if you have the braided rubber hose. The hose has a built in gasket.
@ great video
Really enjoyed watching this video. Simple and clear. G9t yourself a new subscriber my friend.
Thanks so much. Glad you liked it.
I vote you Dude of the year!!!!!! Thank you
Thanks
Very helpful tip
Thanks
So the electrical box just sits in the cutout?
Yes. There are tabs the flip out and grab the sheetrock
Is it universal 100V-240V?
No not I’m the US. It’s 120v
What country are you from? Maybe they make them 240v there
i come from a place where contractors don't use standard methods for tiling (e.g not using toothed trowels and using a butter spread method, thickset) due to the concrete floors being uneven. It is a cascade of laziness or incompetence I do not know. I am planning to do the tile removal by myself but i'm not confident that i would be able to remove the tile adhesives smoothly. I'm in a dilemma should i just remove the tiles and spread self levelling cement ? I saw demo work at my neighbours and it took 3 workers with rotary hammers almost a month to remove 1800sqft of tiles and tile adhesive. The result was a horribly scarred floor.
It all depends on how good the person installed the floor. I’ve never had a tile floor in a bathroom take me more that 2 to 4 hours to remove. Some times there are hard spots where the mortar is still sticking up slightly and the floor is scared up from the chisel. Just use self leveling cement and that usually fills in the voids and hides the mortar and having the floor scarred up is good for the self leveling compound to stick to. Even though you need to use a primer. Most times I need to raise the floor back up anyway to match the floor leading out of a bathroom.
@TheUltimateHandymanKyle thank you for the advice. For further context I live in a hot and humid tropical country so although i love watching videos like yours I still have to filter out the extra steps due to the fact that we have less requirements for extreme temperature differences.
Instructional videos should not have music in them, distracting !
Thanks for the feed back
Agreed, but great ideas, thank you!
Thank you 🎉

I fix these all day long. It’s floor delaminating. My process is different, but hopefully your job holds up. Fix a floor is worthless. It’s simply Elmer’s glue. Next time just buy a gallon of white glue.
I was just at that house for some other work and took a look at the flooring. It still looks great! No cracking or loose grout joints.
Main thing is, don't use 100% silicone caulk, paint won't stick to silicone. Always make sure it says "paintable" and you are golden
Very true. Always read labels
Is the grout in the toilet room done and the rest not done? I'm wondering if the white on the grout outside of the toilet room is efflorescence. If not, can you describe what it is? Thank you.
what part of the video are you talking about? At the end it's just the grout haze. It comes off of the tiles. The grout I used doesn't have an efflorescence problem like the normal cement grout.
Can this be done under pavers, or will it cause them to sink?
If you go under pavers I would go deeper under the walkway just to make sure there is enough soil above to support the pavers. I can't give you a guarantee it won't sink.
You can get those compression ring pullers for a lot less than $40 (I've seen them recently for around $13)
That is good to know.
Is that your great grandfathers hammer?
Hahahaha thats my hammer. I had to watch the video to see what you were talking about. I’ve had it for probably 17 years. It’s a great hammer.
U nailed it big dog u couldn't Not have did anything differently you hit a home run!! Just keep making great ez helpful videos just like this and some time change up things your working on to get a different audience and you will get your 10,000 views!!
