  • After spending over $1,000 and 6 hours of my own time fixing the oil leaks on my 1999 Mercedes E55 AMG imagine my horror when I enter my garage to see fluid spewing out from under the car. Luckily this turned out to be a messy buy minor fix all for under $100.
Thanks to Danny at Fix N Go in Plano, TX for being so attentive and solving the issue quickly and for a great price. They definitely earned their 5 Star review.

Great video by the way. I'm planning on getting a 2000 E55 AMG. The car that im going to look at has about 168,000 miles and i'm glad that i saw your other video on how to change the valve cover gasket. I'm pretty mechanically incline. I own a Mercedes w140 s600 and Bmw e60 m5 and i do work on those cars. l'm looking forward on your e55 amg update. Take care my friend.

Right on. The valve cover gasket was way less daunting than I thought. These are great cars if maintained properly.

I noticed you didn't do another update on the e55. What did you end up doing with it?

That part you showed was not from a 1999 mercedes e55. They gave you a part from a different brand and model car. You have the 722.6 transmission and the data plug that will always leak at some point, is easy to replace and it looks like a small dixie cup with pin holes on the bottom. Thats not a Mercedes part you showed.

is there a cover on your steering wheel? or is that stock?

You’re right there is a cover. The leather was so damaged I ripped it off so I put a cheaper cover on for now. Need to either refurbish ($600) or replace ($300-$600).
