After 8 years and like 4 complete viewings of the series (not to mention all of the times I've rewatched the pilot with friends to show them how good it is), I still find myself thinking about Halt and Catch Fire.
What started as "Breaking Bad if you replace meth with tech and cancer with the existential dread of becoming obsolete" evolved into so much more over the course of its 4 seasons. H&CF might be the most criminally underappreciated shows in television history.
I seriously think it is a once in a generation event

I am waiting for a BD anthology.
Even if it ended at Season 1 on a cliff hanger it still was perfection.
Season 2 was good but not as great as the predecessor.
I disagree. Every season has it's own unique charm. Boz steels the show in season 2. For that reason alone, I love it.
Is this show available for streaming anywhere in the world at the moment? I have searched and searched, and have tried using a VPN.. without luck. I can’t even find the show available for purchase anywhere here in Denmark.. 😕

I hadn't seen any of those movies until after watching H&CF. Imagine MY shock to find out Lee Pace really WAS the elf I suspected him of being this whole time.

we need someone to change education, use tech to get us to the thing, something not just using it instead of books in class, really USING tech to enhance education

What's a compiler target?
It’s the language or system that a compiler outputs into. Like, usually a compiler targets byte code. Byte code would be the “target” language. But some compilers can compile to other things.
Sometimes it’s referred to as the “target” machine. Like you could compile on windows but your “target” could be an embedded system.
Both are used somewhat interchangeably. Your target could be an OS, a language, a processor type like x86, etc.

What the girl doing in the movie
McMillan was my least favorite character in the show. The only thing he did was to bring out the greatness of the other actors. Although I did like him in the final season once he became human
