Good to see you back brother! This is the one complaint I have with GGD. I got the OKW Metal pack thanks to you a few years ago, and routing that MOFO into Reaper was a PITA!!! Being that this was me starting out, I looked everywhere for a proper setup, contacted GGD... and nothing. So I did a mashup of different clips to load it up. My system as been down for a couple of months now, when back up ill be installing Kontakt 7 and try this out.
Hey thats totally fine as well!! with that multi-out drop down, it just does the routing for you. but if things arent named properly in your output section, then it could get a little confusing. which is why i named the outputs the way i did.
Great video mate! is there a way you can take everything you’ve done here and incorporate it through a midi effect chain or instrument rack so your midi notes are labelled with the correct drum hit on your piano roll? Would be so much more efficient for workflow
I guess I just dont understand how to get it to multi out. I switch between the drop down menu on the left and nothing ever pops up on the bottom for me like how you have it.
yeah, you have to set up the outputs like i did in the video. once you set up the outputs inside of Kontakt, when you hit the multiout button, it should align! =D
Sick video dude. I 've watched a few but can never find a straight answer. When all is said and done and the tracks are all output, should they all be stereo tracks or should I do mono for a few of them? I use Cubase for example and bus all the tracks to audio tracks (stereo) and then print them on.
Hey man! I’ve always routed them out as stereo tracks. I could see you potentially using mono for kick and snare, However, I’ve never personally printed the audio tracks down, so I don’t know if you would be missing information by going mono as opposed to stereo.
@@chrisbedan I totes figured it out like 46 mins later after i made this comment, still killer vid. Kontakt 7 just has everything everywhere unlike 6 or even older ive used.
I can get everything to record audio; but it doesn't record my kick drum.... is there a way to still get the midi notes, too? Edit: I made one more “in” track specifically for the kick and that seemed to work to resample the kick
when i right click on presets/batch configuration in kontakt, i dont have the factory folder with the multiout options, it only shows me the top four. am i doing something wrong? im using the free version of kontakt.
hey my friend, not sure if you;re still having issues. but i had a problem that i needed to update my native access and after that i noticed i had a kontakt 7 update. i wonder if that could be a thing.
Probably missing something.. i got 99% of the way there! appreciate that, The only thing left, On my kick channel I can hear the Snare reverb coming through and when I solo my snare channel I only hear the snare without the room verb.. any fix for this? I'm sure its a basic fix but I'm scratching my head haha!! Appreciate the video though man this is amazing
@@Mike_Rezo Yo dude!! so if you have all your outputs correct, you should be hearing the snare come through. however. in terms of the snare verb on the kick. you have to change the main output at the top of kontakt, by hitting the little (i) button on the right. once you're there, a output menu will pop up on the left. you need to change that to an output that is empty. then create a channel inside of Ableton, and direct it to that output you selected inside of Kontakt! it sounds like a lot when typed up, but its pretty straight forward. hopefully that helps, my friend!
Glad to see you back on here man
It’s people like you who keep me going, man. Appreciate you, so much! ❤
Hell yes, this was beyond helpful!, combined with a midi effect rack names to piano roll I am all set. Thanks a bunch good sir!
Oh man, thats soooo good to hear! really glad its working out for you!

dude, let me know how i can help out! you know how to reach me, brother!
Hey Chris, should we make a channel for just reverb from P5? Is the reverb output channel different from room1 and room2?
@@FarshadHesami it is! I actually have a separate channel in my session for it, for sure!
i route everything in stereo not multi out what the difference ?

Thanks for the tutorial! Trying this in Reaper, wish me luck 🙏

I’ll try my best!

Actually yes!! I had a good friend that made me a midi effects rack!
You can see it showcased in my stream!

What version of ableton are you using? Standard? Suite?
Yo! i am using Ableton Live Suite! =D
Bruh i got architects OKW and it aint got none of those volume channel strips like P V does so idk...
@@ILiveintheZone I actually made a routing video a few years ago using OKW modern fusion! It’s on my channel!

Its the reverb on the snare top, When i mute the top it goes away, any help will be hugely appreciated!
