Kohana-san as a geiko is gorgeous beyond words. Btw, I've recently come across your channel and now I'm able to witness such events as erikae of my favourite geimaiko just as if I were part of this crowd, so I wanted to say thank you for sharing these wonderful moments of the life of the karyukai with us!
Thank you for sharing with us, I noticed on Instagram following her hashtag that she had her Erikae. She’s lovely, and I admire her composure in this crowd! Some came awfully far in what I consider personal space (and with Coronavirus even more so)!
I agree. Despite the pandemic and not being allowed to take photos here, in principle, they did. I tried to somewhat keep my distance and film the whole situation rather than just her.
This young woman is like a fine piece of porcelain beautiful and immaculately turned out. Thx again Dave. You don't think about this but you'r filming a bit of history every time you do this.
Thanks for being there! I was expecting for your video. Kohana looks stunning as expected. This photographer in kimono is so stylish, he's usually in kimono for debuts and he inspires me to wear more kimono when in Kyoto.
@@DaveinOsaka, geiko have the talent to make men go crazy. I myself try my best to don't behave like them, this takes me to loose a lot of good oportunities for photos, bu I preffer this way.
She's so beautiful! It was odd how that one place they called on kept them waiting outside. How rude. No one even welcome them in. That's the first time I've seen something like that.
Question here why does she have the finger like markings unlike the other geisha in the other town? Does this designate a Tea house or something else? Also my preference is to this one she seems more demure and more feminine actions in walk and mannerisms than that in Kyoto (sp)
Are geiko & maiko taught to walk pigeon-toed, with their toes turned in? All of them don't walk regular with straight feet. It looks like they're ready to trip over their feet at any given moment.
Kohana-san, a favourite of all of us back when she was a maiko. May she have a long and successful career
She is SO patient and lovely

Thank you, Benny! We don’t see many videos of this so I’ll try and capture what I can.

He was probably one of the few people who had any decency there. The crowd was awful. I edited a lot of very rude people out of this video.
Who is the geiko in yellow? A debuting minarai?
I have no idea but she looked fantastic in that yellow kimono.

Absolutely stunning. Thanks for recording this!
You’re welcome. It was a very tough crowd...

Apparently the NO PHOTOS rule has been waived for her ERIKAE.
Thank you for your observation.
Daveまめ衣さんに続き小花さんの襟替えの動画ありがとう。小花さんしっとりとして綺麗ですね。
Yes, she looked very beautiful and elegant in her kimono.
you got lucky!!!
Yes, it was an amazing experience!

Hi there! This was taken in Kyoto just a few short hours ago. I actually got back last night from Kanazawa. Where do you see the finger like markings?

For special occasions, they paint three stripes on their back like that.

I asked on another forum who the geiko in yellow is. I think someone will know.

I’m not sure about that but you’re right they do have a certain way that they walk
@jeyj747 если на тебя надеть традиционные носки, деревянные сандалии и главное - кимоно, я бы посмотрела на твою походку ;-)
Hey Dave! What time do they usually start the erikae?
I don’t think there is a set time
@@DaveinOsaka thanks for replying! Any tips though for one to experience this?
