Is that a legendary setting thing? Because i play on normal and cant say ive been submitted. Like im usually out of submissions pretty quickly. And i havent adjusted any sliders

I thought it was just me 😂,I got submitted in my rise by Braun stromen and showcase by hogan when I still had mad health ;I was button mashing for my life 😂
I’ve just been enjoying watching Universe mode from a far 😂 my own little WWE world just doing it’s own thing
Might try to run a Universe through Exhibition and an app to track stuff. This should come in handy though.
I'm sure people have figured it out by now, but when using the timed pin mini game, you can just hit "x" at the appropriate time instead of flicking the right stick up. I found I was faster at responding with the button rather than the stick by a good margin.
I enjoyed the timed kick out last year because it meant no button mashing but I also kicked out at 1 everytime which kinda ruins the flow of the match lol, hopefully that works better this time
@bobsucks9647 you can increase the speed or make the target smaller, from what this video shows, so you should be able to adjust it. I hate button mashing.
How you Change that , man i hate using the right stick to Kick out from pins i wish you could x Button for example
@DopePerson I didn't change anything. X just works as well. I did it on accident out of old habits and was like "oh... ok."

I like the fact that with free cam I can literally zoom outside of an open stadium and see what is beyond it and there is literally no restrictions on it either which is great. They need to fix CC on XBOX though it's beyond a joke at this point!.

Search it on UA-cam I forgot the guys name but he has a vid on realized from wwe2k23 and the sliders really the same I applied them to 2k24 and my matches feel so real and long nice back and 4th 5 star matches

Submissions are definitely wonky on default settings. I’ve lost so fast so many times because of it which was not the case on the last two games. It’s either really difficult now or it needs a fix/tweaking. Thanks for this video! Very helpful and informative.

The submissions are op because you can get locked in a hold at the beginning of a match and its too fast 2k23 didn't have this issue
Youre not alone man, i always play on legend and its still too easy so i was looking forward to the gauntlet to give me a struggle but even a singles on legend has been kickin my butt 😅
100% the game is more difficult at the top end of the scale this year 😊
Bring back the 2K19 submission system combined with Here Comes The Pains Rope Breaks, any mini game requiring excessive tapping in my opinion would only makes sense in something like a last man standing match to try and make it to your feet while maybe trying to use the environment to make getting up easier.
The newer one is so hard in 2k19 I didn't have to change anything about submissions

I beat the crap out of an opponent for 20 minutes, and saw no dripping. Just an inconsistent mechanic
Definitely needed to change the submission option is automatically set way to hard
it’s great they allow us to change every individual opinion hopefully they will continue to let us change every individual opinions from now on and in future games
If you play old school like me, WCW wrestling, you want to up the submission rate. I have mine at 80. WCW matches were slow and methodical. I adjusted my submission sliders to compensate: Defender Button Strength (58), Attacker Wrong Button Strength (70). Really good balance.
Allowing the input to be held is a God send for me cuz I play late at night when my child is sleeping next to me 😂
@Assemble going through the sliders helps also I got some good news all be doing some of my own 2k content mainly for fun

Thank you so much for posting this I’ve been getting so frustrated with these submissions as well as stamina, that stamina runs out sooooooo fast!
One thing I hope they patch/fix soon is the fact that the Irish whip counter thing happens with every single character, it makes the game so repetitive it’s genuinely annoying 😵💫😤

i found an option to adjust ai submission . It is under
options >
gameplay>
advanced>
minigame settings>
submission mini game>
attacker button press strength (ai).
May be reducing this can help.
I have tested it and it worked.

Got STF’d by Cena in the first 2 MINUTES of a match and lost even though I’m playing with button hold instead button mash 😭
All of the matches I lost have been that way but I don’t feel like it was like that yesterday

I got the game today but for some reason there's no commentary during matches and no announcers during entrances what could be
the reason?
The full game is not out yet you have to wait for the update.
@@kudus7427the game is full at this point, they just need that real day 1 patch that always comes with new release games these days. It’s standard that things will be fucked up to some degree.

If you get the time to make them, I'd love to see videos on different slider settings for AI vs AI matches, as I typically stream those. I know certain preferred match lengths require different slider settings, so I don't expect a catch-all, but I usually prefer to have my matches go fairly quickly and almost arcadey. My viewers like the more over-the-top action and seeing a variety of matches without them droning on and on.

How do I make the ai kick out more to make the match longer

One thing I found out about time that you don't have to flick up you can literally press any face button as long as it hits the green
we need a “referee pin count speed” slider like they need to hit the mat faster. the counts are always too slow

I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THESE SLIDERS THEY ACTUALLY PLAY OF THE ATTRIBUTES AND THE SETTINGS ONCE YOU REALIZE THAT YOU CAN MAKE THE DAMAGE YOU TAKE IN MATCH ACTUALLY EFFECT HOW MUCH YOU CAN DO AND HOW FAR YOUR SUPERSTARS CAN KEEP GOING IN A MATCH FROM THINGS LIKE I TOOK TOO MUCH DAMAGE TO MY ARMS SO NOW MY STAMINA LEAVES QUICKLY WHEN TRYING TO LIFT SOMEONE BECAUSE MY ARMS HURT OR I CAN ONLY RUN SO FAR BEFORE GETTING TIRED BECAUSE MY LEGS HURT OR I CAN GET OUTTA PINS BUT IT I GET PUT IN A BOSTON CRAB SUBMISSION IT OVER FOR ME BECAUSE I GOT PUT THROUGH THREE TABLES IMA START POSTING GUIDES ON TWITTER TO HELP BECAUSE 2K REALLY WENT INTO DEPTH THIS YEAR I LOVE THE WEAR AND TEAR IN MATCHES

Been playing for awhile now. Tweaking sliders should be a must. Its easy to pin pc even in legendary. I dont go to the point where i need to do super finishers. So after changing sliders gameplay was better. Having 5 star matches and really fighting my ass off to beat the pc. My conditions be
1. Paybacks should be used (atleast one of them), because it defines the wrestler.
2.. after both of us rcvd finishers then i would trigger the exchange punch.
This mostly an instant classic match.
Wont making submissions worse make legends like shamrock, mankind, angle etc alot worse since thats their finishing move?
i guess in theroy yes BUT id assume if you can alter them individually while this is maybe a more default setting you could go to the wrestlers you know are submission experts and tweak theirs back up?

Is anyone having a problem with trying to edit custom superstar cause I was trying to delete a jeff jarrett caw and I did but it crashed and now I can't get into edit custom superstar ans the jeff jarrett caw is there with no picture and when I go to delete utility and try to delete him from there its stuck on him I can press to delete him
The held input for button smashing slider does not work in universe mode rivalry matches

The allow held for mini games is broken. I was in the royal rumble in showcase and I was eliminated even though holding the correct buttons. Also happened in submissions when I was barely hurt

The submission issue isn't just a you thing, I've always been amazing at button mashing but this year every time I get put in a power submission no matter how hurt that body part is I end up tapping out within like 8 seconds

Is there a way to change pin difficulty for me without affecting AI difficulty?
I want it to be legend difficulty but if you get pinned really surprisingly and you mess up its really annoying, whilst also i wanna keep the ai down when im bored of the match lmao
I gotta admit that I am a little disappointed that in the showcase mode they skipped over the iron man match. That was iconic and should have been a part of the lineup. Also, how cool would it have been to get Shawn Michaels alternate entrance from the rafters.
You missed the damage scaling part… I always crank this to zero!
I play legendary so the AI is sharp and challenging but I don’t want it to be unrealistic where a mid card card is doing heavy damage to a legend with a scoop slam 😂

Hey @assemble as far as the trading blows.. I just learned today that in a match once both competitors are pretty beat and with low stamina I believe.. that if you press and hold square to attack it triggers the trading blows feature.. and it’s so dope cuz it adds a completely new layer and authenticity to any match I love it
You can do it at any point by holding it
I've almost broken my tv with the submissions because when someone does a Submission on me it goes up So fast I can't even get time to press any buttons and I'm tapped out like it's nothing and I'm not even hurt or anything yet And when Someone does a submission on me and boom and im tapped out straight away, Thanks for the tip I appreciate it Everything else though I've left on 50
One of the things that put me off past games is that the pin and submissions were so different and difficult to trigger and get out of them

I'm really enjoying 2k24, and these sliders are one of my favourite recent additions to the series. However, has anyone else noticed that all your settings seem to default when playing PLE matches in Superstar/Universe mode? It's all fine on the regular week to week shows, but all my slider and other option changes, like ramp camera, default for PLEs.

Still playing with the sliders & difficulty. I feel like setting it to hard is still too easy but legend is still too hard. Hope this gets tweaked. Wish they would just bring back epic matches.
Fun fact: the trading blows mini game can happen twice per game and is initiated by holding down the square button

Ramp camera is a nice addition. I’m mostly just excited that the ropes won’t be front and center, right in your face the entire time. The camera was way too close and low before.
I got the 40 years of WM edition but the dlc pack isn’t there do they release later on. I can’t find them.

Agree with the submission thing. I'm pretty decent at games. But i was playing the 1st match in proving towers yesterday against the scrawny generic mime dude. He slapped a random submission on me while my head & body were yellow. I fought it off for about 3 minutes before my hand started to hurt & i lost that match. Completely ridiculous for the AI to be THAT strong.
Got the physical copy for ps5. Right away I was able to purchase the 40 years of Wrestlemania dlc :)
What's the best slider to adjust to have the wrestlers stay down a bit longer from moves? I hate seeing them hop up so fast

Submission are CRAZY! I did a Universe Match between Stratton and Asuka and Tiffany survived like 6 or 7 Asuka Locks because I couldn't button mash fast enough. I feel like just switching to holding buttons instead of mashing fixes that withouz touching any slider, but yeah: It's insane!
I don't know if you know this , I was having trouble with flicking the stick up for the pins as well But I figured out you can hit the a button instead of flicking the stick up , its way easier . Lmao

I turn commentary and crowd down to 40 and keep music 100 so I can hear theme as loud as they sound on tv
I always buff everything up a few notches and turn up the ref down meter at max. Stuff like the stunned meter and the rollout meter I turn down a bit. Turned down the reversal grab for Irish whips since the A.I kept spamming that non stop. Set my difficulty to hard and I have banger matches always with the A.I putting up a fight
Really? I have mine on legendary all the time and I’ve tried so many different slider options but I still beat them with ease and have crappy matches

Next year, they 100% should add a custom controls option because even after 3 games with it, I don’t like the new controls at all
I'm with you on that submission mini game, geez! Anyway, have you noticed any settings for the AI Managers? I noticed during showcase that Paul Heyman was going ham on those turnbuckle covers and constantly throwing in weapons. I'm glad they are actually doing something themselves but it's almost tooooooo much. lol
Ya I notice manager interference is very high , I wouldn’t be surprised if we get some patches to balance stuff like that
this was a very good video ill be revisiting a few of them i am dissapointed in how the 2k devs lied a bit on unlocking the cards from my rise to be only copied to myfaction maybe a update can fix that

AI tendency attributes. You have to change them for every single wrestler though.
I think the submission system should be reported as a bug. I am trying to do this myself, just waiting for the opportunity to catch it on video. Maybe Assemble can help us all by filing it himself or giving 2K a heads up?
A theory from Hyperballer (slider and attributes / tendencies adjuster) is that now the submission system is the same as the ambulance / casket match system which negates the submission resistance attributes in the wrestlers.
I am commenting here because tons of people are reporting the issue but no one seems to file a formal bug report so I feel a bit impaired and powerless myself.

The entrances for created wrestlers are also a bit messed up. In entrance creation the lights are on and things are normal but when you actually do a match the lights seem to be off compared to how they are in create an entrance. Plus the eyes seem to glow a bit like cat eyes even though I don't have my characters eyes set like that.

Yep. Gotta use them to fix the submission system. On hard a guy can lock in a sub after hitting you with nothing else and you're pretty much done for.
I do the rapid press for pin so I can control if it’s a kick out right after two or if it’s right at the last second. It kinda irritates me with the zone mini-game that it basically makes all 2-counts close falls.
