  • New York Football had been in a dark place since the Giants won their latest championship a decade ago. The Jets and the Giants have been racking up loses for years now, but they both finally seemed like they were coming to the light. The Giants made the playoffs last year and the Jets traded for 4-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.
But one crucial mistake both of them made in this offseason has lead them right back into the dark, a mistake made out of fear.

Yes I know Richardson's season is over, I recorded this before he decided to have the surgery. Still doesn't change my stance though. At the end of the day, his injury is not as damaging at 21 years old as one at 39 is for Rodgers. Both teams would be in a better position moving forward with him than what they have right now.

You left out former J-E-S-T second round pick, Christian Hackenberg!
Indy's taking Richardson right back down the Andrew Luck Highway from Lucas Oil Stadium to the Elmer's factory in Terre Haute. He MIGHT have been okay with the Giants, but the Jets would have killed him just as fast as the Colts, too.

@@WVUer21 Yeah I am a little worried he'll be driven into the ground like Luck, but I'm hopeful the coaching change will make the difference. I like what I see from Steichen so far. And at least AR will have JT behind him to take the load off him for at least 2 years, something Luck never had

Foles was drafted by the Eagles, so technically that's 16/20, but definitely didn't take the career path you'd expect of a QB winning with the team they're drafted to.

@Fish19335 Yeah I thought about clarifying it to be "A QB that never played for another team" since Foles played for the Rams and Chiefs before going back to Philly and also because technically Eli wasn't drafted by the Giants, he was drafted by the Chargers then traded on Draft Day, but I just thought it was too much to explain for the video.

Wild take. Jets season is still full of hope and we could still make the playoffs. To say we have no future is crazy. All the players and young talent we are only gonna get better

For your sake I hope so, I really do, Jets fans have been through enough. I'm just worried that this window of great young talent will get wasted on the last years of Aaron Rodgers as he regresses rather than with a young, talented QB that will get better alongside the other young talent the Jets have.

Interesting point about all the superbowls in recent memory being won by either elite quarterbacks or extremely cheap quarterbacks. I think the second category is where the 49ers have a chance at winning it this year.

yeah absolutely, they’re the definition of that Ravens type of build of a team. I would even say the Dolphins fit that too

Zach has improved, He is doing a solid job of holding down the fort for Rodgers. I'm excited for Zach's growth.

he’s been better than he was, but still not what you want out of a 2nd overall pick and not a Super Bowl caliber QB
