good call to put in a clay core the way ground water was seeping in as you were trenching spoke all about the necesity of having a proper core so the dam did not blow out again. I hope the neighbors have some serious overflow provisions on their own pond.
Brush Commando certainly enjoyed his time helping out. At last the core trench is in - all that sand caving in nearly as fast as you were removing it. Trust the dozer problem is too bad. Looking great LetsDig18.
It's not a good day when you start off with codes and warning signs and everything else. But you work through it all. You got some help driving the the truck so that was all right. Good job! Looking forward to the next. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Who wouldn’t like the haul truck, it’s a pretty nice truck with all the little comfort features that go with it. Dam looking really nice. The pesky little beavers sure don’t give up easily do they. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching, hope the dozer code issue gets resolved in a timely fashion.
Now that you have the core trench dug out you’ll be able to make a lot of progress on the dam. It’s amazing that the far side of the dam was nothing but sand and you have so much good clay on the other side. I’m surprised that the pond ever held water. The break in the dam wouldn’t have been so bad if it would have had good clay in that spot.
It is amazing and also that the bottom of the pond must also be lined with that same sand yet it too held water. The bottom must be saturated with water until it get to the clay layer underneath it. Or the subterranean springs that feed the pond must be producing more water than what leaks out or evaporates.
Chris you are about to run out of space to stack the sand. It's falling back in as fast as you can scoop it. Nice to have help. Everything looking great. Glad you are still dry. Take care and have a great weekend.
I should be happy to have about 30+ minutes of your damn work, but it's hardly worth turning on my computer. But....I love watching you work! What a conundrum!!!!
CHRIS I KNOW THAT YOU LOVE BARNEY!!!..BUT IF YOU KEEP DOING THOSE BIG JOBS I CAN SEE 👀 ONE OF THESE NEW HAUL TRUCKS IN YOUR LINE UP OF TOYS 🧸 🔫 😀...DANG THAT WAS A LOT OF SAND YOU MOVED...😮😂😊
Fantastic Work! In the old Sand Dam middle a Clay Core to Install.! And the Dam by the to Dig out, not Damage. The fill with the Clay, and to Firm great. Thanks for this interesting Video. You the Pond building Master. 👍👌
Chris that is what is called "bank sand" which is a mixture of sand and clay dust such that it packs very well compared to pure sand but is fragile to water compared to clay. Sort of the worst of both worlds, but we used it for fill under home slabs in Texas near Houston.
The clay silt in it is why it holds water but if it ever over tops it will cut through fast. That clay core will be a saving grace once done. Just give it a lot of spillway at both ends so it never over tops the dam.
By time you dig all that sand your bucket should be nice and shiny!!!! Every time you dig a scoop another scoop falls back in that's got to be aggregating!!!
Wow, digging the trench through all that sand really did seem like you were p!ss!ng in the wind, but you persevered and got it done as always 👌 keep the good stuff coming
Volvo has another customer service 🏆 win. I can see Barney might have to find another home.😅 👍👍 Definitely as much maybe more work than building a new dam but excellent work as always.
Watching your channel is like a fresh breeze in the world of entertainment and laughter. Keep surprising and entertaining us with your quality content!🚀🎓📷
Glad to see the core finished, with the conditions you have to work with, looks good.his envision is impressive, your talent is as always impressive.just keep on doing your thing.be safe.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Grains of sand are different, if they have faceted sides they will interlock and pack well. If they are rounded they will never pack and will always shift or slide. Maybe Kenny Komatsu oil code is urging an oil filter change.
My semi had DEF and it stayed in limp mode more than regular mode even after new DEF injector 2 new $5000 filters so I DE-LE-TED that crap and my power increased my fuel mileage increased and my limp mode decreased 100%
Man, I know that has to getting on your nerves, ya get 1 scoop and 3 falls off the sides !! lolol... But, ya got it licked now, you will be able to flat out kick it in gear !! Going to be nice having that sand to spread out on the face and backside, will be able to leave a real nice finish too it !! And you know that Big Ol Dump packed the shit out of the Core Trench !! Looking Good Man !! Great as Always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
Equipment and vehicles need to return to the old reliable ways, this emissions crap is such a pain. The EPA must roll back the idiocy of current times.
I remember Los Angeles when I was a kid in the early 60s. LA was not near as populated as it is now, but the smog was atrocious. You couldn't see downtown from a few miles away. The Clean Air Act made a big difference in lung disease and eye problems . To this day, Cali pushes Emissiom Controls for a very good reason. Billions in Healthcare saved from emissions control and cigarettes.
Question: You ever regret taking a job? This one looks like a nightmare. Sand keeps collapsing into trench. I’m guessing if the owner wasn’t your buddy you would have passed on it.
It's good to know I'm not the only one who has bad depth perception in mirrors. I'm constantly either stopping several feet short or ignoring my instincts and running into things.
Too bad the knights templar didn't know about this location. They shoulda buried their treasure there under that sand instead of oak island. Nobody would ever get to it the way that sand keeps caving/calving (sp?) off.
Lucky? No it's completely normal. I have never seen Chris have to haul in clay or DirtPerfect either. Bamabass is the only one I've ever seen have to do that. He was very unlucky to be in a place with a sand layer nearly 50 feet deep.
LOve watching, but yer audio has gone to hell lately. Didn't you have one of those hook on mikes with the little fluffy thing that works with the GoPro ? I'll buy you one if you are short of cash.....
There’s ways of disconnecting that loomanady bullshit and you can fine grade with the old school dozers you just make believe your operating the komatsu I use to have a ford power stroke and when that loomanady bullshit started to get to it I found ways to disconnect that bullshit of the loomanadys from my power stroke with all of the loomanadys bullshit in these fuckedupped days and times that’s why I doesn’t pay to be in the excavating buisness
my oil pressure censor on my 1999 s-10 zr2 v6 told me for almost 2 decades i had little to no oil pressure after i bought it used with 87000 miles on it but i drove it almost every day with no problems...until this year...
😅 Driving the truck is fun! Man, I keep finding MORE things for you to do here! ANOTHER pond dam, rock work and BEACHES! 😆 thanks Chris!
Mo Money💸 Mo Money💰🤗
Yeah man, just keep on going. It’s looking good !!
Every thing that you do makes things go quicker enjoy while you can
Brush Commando in competition with Bealy Good for Chris's time. New dump truck incoming.
good call to put in a clay core the way ground water was seeping in as you were trenching spoke all about the necesity of having a proper core so the dam did not blow out again. I hope the neighbors have some serious overflow provisions on their own pond.
Dam he could have one heck of a beach on that pond with all that sand Chris
I love watching dam videos. Tearing things down then the building back is so fascinating. Awesome job as always LD18!
Excellent work as usual, Chris. The dam is looking good. Thanks for sharing.
Brush Commando certainly enjoyed his time helping out. At last the core trench is in - all that sand caving in nearly as fast as you were removing it. Trust the dozer problem is too bad. Looking great LetsDig18.
These Volvo commercials are getting better and better.
They should be paying him for it the free advertising.
It's not a good day when you start off with codes and warning signs and everything else. But you work through it all. You got some help driving the the truck so that was all right. Good job! Looking forward to the next. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
The dam coming on leaps and bounds now Chris the Volvo dump truck are simply the best
The scale of this project is incredible! Can’t wait to see what’s next as the trench progresses 💪
Good bit of work to get to this point. That was a lot of sand to remove but smart to replace with clay!!
Praying for all of you guys over the pond for the incoming hurricane 🙏🙏🙏
The core trench is the most important part of pond building. And you do it well
Who wouldn’t like the haul truck, it’s a pretty nice truck with all the little comfort features that go with it. Dam looking really nice. The pesky little beavers sure don’t give up easily do they. Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching, hope the dozer code issue gets resolved in a timely fashion.
There was a sticker in the cab that said 78dB. That's quieter than the kitchen when Aunt Sophie comes over!

LOVE watching you work and your thought process on jobs. Great channel !
Chris you are about to run out of space to stack the sand. It's falling back in as fast as you can scoop it. Nice to have help. Everything looking great. Glad you are still dry. Take care and have a great weekend.
I gotta tell ya Chris, that 330 is one beautiful machine to see in action.
When one is accustomed to seeing Chris in the 220, he looks like a kid in the 350.
Barney says the new Volvo truck is crap and that he's not your friend anymore!
Back at it doing what Let's Dig does DIG🤗
How did you ever get by without the 350. That is one working machine!
Nice video Chris. Nice to see you some help.
I should be happy to have about 30+ minutes of your damn work, but it's hardly worth turning on my computer. But....I love watching you work! What a conundrum!!!!

Keep the dirt moving guys! 💪
Glad to hear you're donating the surplus sand to a good cause 👍
Good morning everyone I hope you all enjoy your day we have a fine day here 😊 😀 🙂 ☺️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks 👍 you to 🌄
Enjoy your videos!
A few scoops out and one slides in. That is real sand pit.
By time you dig all that sand your bucket should be nice and shiny!!!!
Every time you dig a scoop another scoop falls back in that's got to be aggregating!!!
You just need the military equivalent of that dozer that doesn’t have all the EPA debilitating garbage on it.
Wow, digging the trench through all that sand really did seem like you were p!ss!ng in the wind, but you persevered and got it done as always 👌 keep the good stuff coming
At the nine minute mark it looked like you were working at the sand pit.
Good morning my friend 😊🌞😊❤
I'm looking forward to the completed look of this one. Just looks like a level 3 mess right now.
A quick nudge to keep the dirt out of the way. He's always mindful of his tail swing. 👍
Volvo has another customer service 🏆 win. I can see Barney might have to find another home.😅 👍👍
Definitely as much maybe more work than building a new dam but excellent work as always.
Glad you like Barney's big brother.

First comment???? That scary watching the bucket coming towards me. :) That sand must be frustrating to deal with. Thank you and have an awesome week.
Absolutely :)
hmmm, guess what you're going to buy !
Chris, what a monstrous pile of sand! I think it's the most I've seen you dig ... is it naturally there?
All those mounds of sand... looks like Clearwater Beach
Chris the 350 does load the truck in a hurry!!
Watching you dig that trench. Reminds me of trying to dig a hole in the sand next to the ocean. One scoop out. Two more fall in
Grains of sand are different, if they have faceted sides they will interlock and pack well. If they are rounded they will never pack and will always shift or slide. Maybe Kenny Komatsu oil code is urging an oil filter change.
lol tell Brien to start calling you Papa Chris cause he is leaning from the best 😂😂
Thanks 👍
I am curious as to what your screen looks like on the dozer as you are working. Any chance you can show some screen time?
Ya I love it when you are in the 350 u Sound really happy you have a really nice big machine it works perfectly for your job site
High tech equipment sure can be a pain with bogus codes 😅
Mr DP would be proud of those size loads
Yea don’t upset barny his your savier
What are you going to do with all the sand?😮
Maybe you can get a Hyundai dozer demo like your buddy Mike has
Looking good. Thanks
My semi had DEF and it stayed in limp mode more than regular mode even after new DEF injector 2 new $5000 filters so I DE-LE-TED that crap and my power increased my fuel mileage increased and my limp mode decreased 100%
It’s a wonder that sand held back anything
Your ideas are always fresh and original. Thank you for the inspiration!🔲🖐🍎
I’ve got a question, I always have a question
Does the clay have much Shrink / swell & is it a problem
Thank you Sir
good pond video

Your videos are a true UA-cam treasure. Thank you for your creativity and dedication!🐩🦆⚱️
Equipment and vehicles need to return to the old reliable ways, this emissions crap is such a pain. The EPA must roll back the idiocy of current times.
So are category 5 hurricanes, that’s what the emissions “crap” is there for.
@@blainerueckwald Only if you believe in the fairy tale of AGW.

How about the equipment manufacturer's builing systeams that actually work instead of designing things to repeatedly fail to extort money from people.
Yea just people who can grasp reality believe in such things Anthropogenic Global Warming !
stupid question- can you sell the that excess sand to the local aggregate centers seller/concrete makers by the semi load...for diyers...
Question: You ever regret taking a job? This one looks like a nightmare. Sand keeps collapsing into trench. I’m guessing if the owner wasn’t your buddy you would have passed on it.
That you're new truck Chris
Be nice one add to you're fleet
If not then good having on the job
👍👍👍
just like a giant sandbox
So what your sayin' is you're going to be making an offer on that A30G?
Would you ever get Larger Artic Dumptruck would you get A30 or A35 see A30 only 4Tons more than your own one see A35 is 9Tons more
@ about 12:30 it was a good thing we were outside watching 😮. I bet some ugly words were said. I know I would have 😂😂
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Your next purchase will probably be another truck.
The reason why that sand is so hard to push is because it's mixed with GOLD. gold is 25 times heavier than sand or soil.
Finally
It's good to know I'm not the only one who has bad depth perception in mirrors. I'm constantly either stopping several feet short or ignoring my instincts and running into things.
When I was driving I used to make a mark on the ground of some kind where I wanted my mirrors to line up, I’d get close enough to unload
Still haven’t figured out how that fill held water 😅.

With heavy equipment typically going forwards and reverse all day, I really don't understand why backup cameras are not standard equipment.
Knappen som holder bremsen når du tipper tror jeg også setter girkassa i nøytral
whats the name of the youtuber that you are working on the pond for
Hi,He is Brian from BrushCommando. Cheers
Sand will wear down undercarrage I was told .
Too bad the knights templar didn't know about this location. They shoulda buried their treasure there under that sand instead of oak island. Nobody would ever get to it the way that sand keeps caving/calving (sp?) off.
Time to make a trade and let Barney go to a new home. Dirt perfect or Matt at diesel creek wants Barney..
DP has the bigger Bubba Dump. He doesn't need it and Matt isn't an operator. What we he do with a big haul truck?
REMEMBER- Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear!
Doesn't look like your brush pile got burned
Got lucky again with supply of clay that didn't have to be trucked in.
Lucky? No it's completely normal. I have never seen Chris have to haul in clay or DirtPerfect either. Bamabass is the only one I've ever seen have to do that. He was very unlucky to be in a place with a sand layer nearly 50 feet deep.

Why do I hate sand let me count the reasons.
BULLSHIT I HAVE LANDSCAPED AROUND HOUSES WITH D6D AND D7G.
Yes you bust ass Peace out
