Holy smokes, the logistics of farming are fascinating. Just the machinery preparation was mind boggling. I certainly appreciate the huge effort that goes into food production.
right?? i started watching this channel when cole was just cleaning out the house and stayed for the farm work (as well as the house, finally) it really is fascinating. i found it curious that they actually have more late nights than early mornings. i thought farmers were up before dawn...i think that is animal farmers. the waiting for the dew to dry off makes sense.
Thank you, Cole, for reminding me how to positively reframe life's unexpected setbacks. Example: we are ahead of schedule and under budget on the remodeling of the house. There is no budget and no schedule. I'm 69 and I rediscovered the freedom of living again. Thanks Cole 😊. Trust Jesus, He has been building on His Father's mansion for 2000 years with no budget and no schedule. 😇
Hey Cole, it's great watching you and Roman work on the house (amazing) but it is also absolutely fascinating to learn the details of farming! LOTS of details, and a whole bunch of SELF-SUFFICIENCY! When I first started watching Cole the Cornstarch, I loved watching the planting and harvests, haven’t seen these recently, so today’s video was a treat. I needed a break from the basement and the underground theater. Variety is the spice of life.
I especially like the tour of the cabins of the various machines. I have traveled on roads passing combines and teactors working in fields and wondered what things were like in the cabins. I was delighted to get the detailed description of the many things inside. Even the many cup holder options and various storage spaces. I had no idea how much technology was used in these machines. Thank you so much for showing and explaining to us. These are a few more things to help us non-farmers to understand and appreciate farmers.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your channel. I've never been a farmer, but I love tractors and grew up and live in the country so it's of great interest to me to learn more. I am disabled and was in the hospital for a year and had to learn to eat and walk again. Last year I was able to drive an old combine for the first time in my life- I cannot believe I was able to get up the steps after what I had been through. It was awesome! Thank you so much for educating me and living the farm life through your family. Keep up the good work and great videos!
Those underground kickouts could make a great empty room with smooth concrete floor for the boys to play in on rainy days…..basketball, roller skating, etc.
My dad taught me to estimate the time for a job like this: Take the time you think it's going to take, triple that and figure you're still off by half. You amaze me at your ability to remain positive and energetic in the face of the usual gremlins that surface when you do anything big.
QUESTION: Why are you building the movie theatre underground? Will the theatre have another purpose also? Like hurricane shelter, etc? Carry on...well done boys!
Fun watching harvest! CA farmer here.. used to have a dairy so chopping corn for silage and running trucks next to the chopper is very familiar.. we are almost finished with our almond harvest by weeks end. Busy Dirty Exhausting..love living a farmers life.
Roman really wants some plans....and honestly he deserves them. Not hard to sense the frustration. I'd take Roman any day of the week where I work and it isn't anything close to farming or construction. Some times you just know when you see a hard worker and realize you can teach them just a little and they will teach you the rest.
Dang, not certain which farming job is the most difficult. The "go fer" is constantly running between here, there, town and back...then take care of paperwork when you aren't running from one place or another of several places. The grain cart is a never ending job as well, but looks like a fun job, same with the truck. Unloading the trucks more than one time each day must feel great. Riding in the combine with no internet must be a drag. I would go stir crazy, not steering, or having a lot to do. At the same time, seeing how quickly you're filling up must feel great. I've noticed, it doesn't take long for that heavy dew to stick to anything and everything. Once it gets dark and the temperature goes down within an hour, bam, dew. It's just warm enough during the day. Those beans are so dry, you guys are creating a mini dust bowl, but just grain dust, not soil. 😊❤
I looked forward to seeing Edward behind the steering wheel in the combine give that little kid some stick time. great to see you are doing well. I pray for your family very often. I’m sorry for your recent losses. May God comfort you all.
Cole, just a thought, since you have the hole for the theater dug all up, why not go ahead and dig in a bunker/tornado shelter while you are at it. Just make sure it is at least 6 feet under the top surface. Give it two entrances, one from the theater and office and another from above in case you are outside. For the stair, use a 90 corner. This way wind will not blow directly down into the entrance. Just make sure the door is at least 1/2 thick welded plate steel. You also need to make sure the roof is at least 4 or 5 inches thick. An arched ceiling is best as it will transfer the load. Look at the Colin Furze underground build to get an idea of what could be at your place.
Cole, it's good to see harvest in full swing and everyone working together. Similarly, it's gratifying to see you live out your dreams and desires while renovating the old house. Let's face it. You've earned it! ❤👍. Regards, Stephen.
