Hurricane Helene's AFTERMATH 3 Days Later

- Three full days after Hurricane Helene. We finally get the landfill open. Power surge messes up our Bartlett controller in the greenhouse at Grass Roots Garden Center. We use the John Deere 724 front end loader to take down some trees. #hurricanecleanup #heavyequipment #landfill
For everyone who has been touched and affected by hurricane Helene for all the volunteers that have donated their time supplies and medicine
you are the very fabric of this country
You are what make this country what it is
You are America strong
God bless each and every one of you
Omg I'm watching from Brisbane Australia and my heart goes out to you all praying for a speedy recovery from this disaster 🙏
G'day mate! ........ I love saying that. Thanks for watching!
❤
Been there, hurricane Michael. 41 trees down in my yard cut ever one up myself at 70 years old. I feel for all in this disaster. Restored my house myself but it took living in motorhome for eight months. Keep yr chin up and trust in God.
Wow you’re a lucky 70 year old that’s kept their body is working order. And restoring your home. Some people have been trying to finish their homes from Katrina!
You are lucky to have Aaron, nice to see a young man with common sense and a sense of humor. One of the problems with posting things on facebook is that not everyone has a facebook account ( like me) I’m nearly 70 and barely computer literate.
I was stressed beyond belief once and a good friend sat me down and said “this to will pass”
These are the things that we will sit around the fire and laugh about years from now, just do what you can, pay attention to the details and the big problems will handle them selves. You have surrounded yourself with good people, let them do what they do and you will come out of this on top.
well said!
“trespassers will be composted” 🤣🤣🤣 ♻️
@@j_h_rden I have one on my driveway that says “no trespassing, I have firearms and a backhoe”
lol
I'v got the same sign over here in Shropshire England 🏴
You have a great crew!! Love how AA-Ron is sooo calm and yet he always making me laugh with his remarks.. 😅😅😅 so happy you all are ok and getting things cleaned up. One day at a time! You got this!!!..
😊 thank you
Arron and Brandon are great young men ! You have good employees.
Great job to everyone 👏 👍
Keep safe 🙏
Thanks for sharing these experiences.
Thanks for watching!
Greetings from Denmark!
Thanks for the videos!
Love and prayers for all of you guys from Tennessee! ❤
thanks so much!
You all some amazing people,God blessed you all with good hearts, here in Oregon we are putting prayers out there for you all God bless you all, just be careful
Why did your god send a hurricane in the first place you mouth breathing moron ?
I hate to say it, but I've been loving these videos lately. Very glad I found your channel but I wish you weren't going through such a difficult time.
An the big clean up begins Mr D
Excellent job fixing your fans in the greenhouse.
Prayers for the victims 🙏
much appreciated, there are folks way worse off than we are. they need all the prayers and help they can get.
Glad to see you're doing good hopefully
I'm watching from Melbourne Australia. It's been fascinating seeing you dealing with all the unexpected problems. You're definitely better placed to get back up than many others. I remembered you from Letsdig18.
Beautiful set up you guys have. Your going to be extremely busy.
The 600 thru 744K series are definitely nice wheel loaders. I loved the 724K and 744K that I ran compared to others options at the time.
I love your videos. I'm in Florida I don't know anything about what your doing but it's so interesting! Great content
Glad things are starting to work out. It’s some growing pains for sure but keep at it. That’s the problem with pines though. Shallow root systems means enough wind can push over an entirely healthy mature tree.
Glad your channel popped up on my feed! Haven't seen your channel before. It's too bad you have to grind up all the trees instead of using them for fires or construction. I'm only 4 minutes into this video so maybe you address that. So sad. Really no words that could comfort anyone. Thanks for documenting this for the rest of us. We're right there with you in spirit! Sending prayers from Kansas 🌻
I agree, wasted resource. I commented that winter is coming up quick and why would anyone pay for dumpin wood, instead of quartering it, but my comment was removed 😅
i didnt remove it, and we have a shed where we split tons of firewood
@@TheRealMrDiGG yeah I didn't think you did, yt a.i. likes to remove replies with key words. Happens a lot, all good though love the channel and your perseverance through tough times
A lot of people don't like to burn pine, because it's so resinous, it can cause fires in fireplace chimneys. I'd like to see it used for lumber, but it's likely they have a glut of it all over the southeast, and picking up two or three trees here and there isn't economical. I burn some pine, but it's mixed in a little at a time with oak for the fireplace. Makes good kindling to get the fire started. I had 6 trees taken down, and the tree removal company was actually surprised I wanted to keep all the wood. I thought they might sell it, but they said they just grind it up and landfill it. Made me wince, but I grew up in tree sparse areas.
@@durgan5668I don't know about that. Here in Canada, we use pine all the time, it's the best wood to use for firewood. Easy to delimp and chop it up. Do mean alive pine wood? If so then yeah, we get dead pine only. Leaving all young ones.
Watching from South Africa. My thoughts and prayers with all of you guys and everyone affected by hurricane Helen, especially those who lost love ones, homes, employment. I cannot even think of being put in a situation like what was endured by everyone affected.
Love your 😊channel, only started watching recently and subscribed 👍🏼. God bless and stay safe.
I don't know what to say other than God Bless you and all your employees and everyone else affected by this horrible storm.
Watching from mt pleasant wi your doing a awesome job keep it up
thanks friend!
GOOD MORNING GUYS.
The bar on the chainsaw probably needs the ridges filed down flat. I’d pull the bar and chain and lay the bar flat and file the edges of the channel where the chain rides. Carful the channel edges can be very sharp. That should help tremendously.
Also might need to file the chain rakers down a couple of licks.
STAY SAFE
Aaron was getting giggy with that loader up on 3 wheels Lol Let's go !! Good job guys
The bright side of the issue with the Hurricane, well give you an ample supply of brush for compost and mulch for future sales. Prayers to all effected people in your area.
New subscriber here, glad your getting rhibgs all done after this devastating Hurricane, you've all been in my Prayers 🙏🏼 as its just heartbreaking, sending you all lots of love from Shropshire England 🏴
I’m all for doing it yourself….but please don’t use a chainsaw in shorts……especially how he was hooking his leg up to the tree, more so when the chain was running slack…..😳😳😳
The shoes he had on were canvas Boating shoes
Jeans won't stop a saw, I can't do the saw dust in the shoe though
My brother in law used to cut timber down in Kentucky. One day he ruined A new pair of Carhartts with a chain saw, didn't do much for his leg either... damned near cut it off...chit happens... Gday
@BenEthridge I had a clam digger limbing for me, he was a maniac so I bought him some chaps. The first thing he did was put them on and fire up his saw and drop it on his leg wide open. It snarled up the chain before it got to meat. He looked at me and said "these things actually work" I was friggin horrified
Normally FEMA does a bulk reduction site. I am sure few will bring stuff in but when you only have to bring it to the road for free and the fema contractor gets paid to pick it up.
If time wasn't important, a logging co and saw mills would love all those straight trees.
Looks like your area is doing a great job at getting the roads opened up.
G’day Ryan it’s amazing the destruction of Mother Nature glad to see you guys and girls helping each other where you can 💪💪💪👍👍👍 one things for sure you should have plenty of green waste for the rotochopper expo stay safe mate 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks 👍
Fyi chsinsaw bars rarely bend. If the cut is curving. The chain is sharper on one side, therefore pulling to that side more.
good info
You need to get a good Timelapse camera to be able to put on things like that pile. Glad things are slowly coming together stay safe
You go Up to a person that has everything they need and want, You ask them "do you have any gas?" They says, Nope!
You go up to a Person that has nothing and ask, "Do you have any gas? They say, " uuh let see... well I have a half a tank... here I will split it with you. What else do you need, and we'll make you we get it to ya.
got plenty of diesel to share, unfortunately dont think her car would like it
It would be awesome if you where able to find someone in your area with a mill to take the large tree waist and tun it into lumber to help with rebuilding homes.
Love the vids and glad youtube recommend ya
Oh man... It's a shame you don't have a small saw mill. With all those trees down, one could be making a whole lot of lumber for the rebuilding to come...
cousin has one a mile down the road
You’re going to be a certified electrician by the time you’re done
lol, doubt it
I really enjoy your videos, but using a chainsaw with bare legs? That's crazy. I've got a slice in my leg that cut down to the bone when an angle grinder bounced from what I was cutting. You don't want that for the rest of your life.
Yep a lot of people are a small mistake away from ruining/changing their life forever
As l am watching this video l am watching hurricane Milton come towards Florida ....this is when we show how strong the south really is
GOD BLESS
thanks
No problem, thanks for watching bud
Lol take that Aaron 😂
lol
Love the taste of diesel in the morning!
yummy
I assume you're not doing the Rotor Chopper day, stay safe, viewing from County Sligo Ireland 🇺🇦🤠🚲📷✍
Field Day is still a go, as far as we know 🙌 Thanks for watching over in Ireland 🇮🇪
A chainsaw With a worn out bar in chains , where the guy that doesn't Know how to safely operate a chance a chain saw.
I thought about this before the storm. I don’t know what the market for wood pellets is but have you ever thought about them with all the wood you take in?
We have heavy winds and rain now from Milton, it is going by to our north heading to Fl. Hopefully y'all don't get anything from it!
was thinking about you when watching the news last night, y'all gonna be ok?
Hold my beer!
lol
Well done, a first step on your way to become an electrician..😅
im trying
I just subscribed can I go fishing nice pond I seen
milton is on it's way to tampa bay, sailboard weather.
Un'abbraccio dall'Italia

grazie amico mio ❤️
@@TheRealMrDiGG ❤
Very good video very informative
Let us see your what you are talking about with a less face time
Nice job cleaning up. Is hurricane Milton going to affect you?
I don’t go anywhere without my leatherman
I wish I could help mr d. Phiilippines way too far.
❤
A little at a time.
after 9 -11 a lot of people who had country fair food trucks loaded up and supplied sandwiches and coffee for free in parking lots as everything was locked down, that 2 sandwiches and cup of coffee once a day for 3 days was only thing a lot of truckers had to eat.
I am looking for work brother I can be there ?
I guess that special machine event y'all are supposed to have is postponed?
Howdy Mr DiGG
wheres his safed gear he a fool use the chain saw
Also, those big pine trees should be going to a lumber company. Not the mulch pile. How many 2×4's are gonna be needed to rebuild? With forrests of that nature, i know there is a logging crew in the region.
cousin has saw mill up the street
I hope yall are not in the path of the next one heading to Florida
i am glad that you are ok and your family what is your facebook page and where is your son at Brandon
I hope you can lower your rates to help the community out.
Is it a good idea to wear chainsaw pants? Accidents are nasty with those chainsaws.😢
You have real treasures in you employees, especially Aaron and Brandon. Is there anything about your operations that can't do?
where do ya'll use a grain drill in ya'll operation(s?)
Hate to see you cut down trees they survived a hurricane and then you cut them down so many felled trees it breaks my heart to see you take them down. So sad
lost of wood to heat your homes for the next 10 years 🤣
is milton coming your way
Get some pants 👖 on running that chainsaw.
Chain needs sharpened
got gas lol no walked away , 6 gallon rejection lol, dog eat dog world, rich cant eat money or eat diamonds, PREPARE OR PARISH
got plenty of diesel to share
