I went back in time and posted this before it came out. im a magician believe it or not. subscribe. Also give me tutorial ideas for things that you might want to learn. ignore the sneeze voice. i had a cold 2 months ago.
dude that was a banger tutorial, fantastic quality too. on another note this video have been quite helpful as i have had a block in my art for a long while trying to figure out how to use colour, ive learnt so much on it but yet just cant make that jump, i thought i learnt abit about texturing and can get the idea pretty well but never have i thought or heard about clustering, that seems like a fantastic idea of how i might be able to start making my projects feel more believable so massive thanks and i cant wait for the next vid you make!... also sorry for the long message lol, just this was something new that i didnt expect ( :
Ty :D im super happy you liked the tutorial and ty for the long comment they make me super happy (i spent a month and a half on the video so im glad it helped lol) but clustering should definitely help. You can find out alot about clusters in general if you look around on websites like Pixeljoint! Im thinking about making the next video in 3D since that seems super fun, but the topic will probably be about colours since alot of people are asking about that. To help you out right now though think of colours as greyscale, every colour has a value, aka. grey or black or white, and by thinking of colours in greyscale itll help to make contrast better and make more sense in general! I reccomend also spending some time looking at colour theory stuff since that can be pretty tricky, I learned from channels like Proko so that can be a super good starting point, hope this helps :D
@@artmanoil thx man , truthfully this helps gratefully, and damn that sounds like alot of effort so well spent, i cant wait for the next, its gonna be a blast, so when you say 3d, do you mean like for how you explain things? Or it will be about 3d and colour? Either way they both sound quite fun too watch 😎
You should try doing an art devlog for Spent Shells. Maybe similar to another game-dev channel O and Co Games and how they bounce from and to a developer point of view and a view form the artist?
@@artmanoil Oh wow you answered fast. Thanks for taking this into consideration. I love your art btw which is why I wanted an in depth look on how you made it.
This was the first time i ever edited a video so the audio is SUPER rough, later tutorials will definitely have significantly better audio though. turns out that my voice is just so BASSY that doing a bass boost when eq'ing it was just causing my voice to be more muffled lol
I mainly talk about what things are less than how its done, because art as a whole isn't something with a set way to do things. But if I suggest things to know and think about, then it helps stimulate thoughts and ways to use the concepts I'm providing. People don't really improve at stuff they don't understand the basics of I feel
@@nTu4Ka thats more personal preference for the font. no offense but I prefer to go for my preferred aesthetic, even though I do see the thought behind what you say. please provide reasons next time though if you do have critique :D

@@Nutellagott ooo that could be super fun

@@artmanoil yea Ives noticed how good you are at animating pixel art, would be really nice to give us a animation guide

Cool arts but really difficult to catch the essence from the videos.
Videos sound more like "I know something" rather than "This is how it's done".
Also low res font difficult to decipher.
