I love that you're rocking the messy cables. I'm always trying to tie mine up and get it as clean as possible, but since a board is never truly finished, I spend more time tearing boards apart than putting them together
totally agree - I just usually swap stuff in and out so much It's nearly pointless to have everything permanent and polished. glad I'm not the only one ha ;)
I’ve been tweaking the DL4 MK2 so much for big ambient delays. It 100 percent has replaced my boss DD-20. Absolutely loving that o found your channel! It’s been a needed refresher for pulling out of a rut
man, that's so cool - great to hear! DD-20 and the original DL4 were some of my very first delay pedals and really inspired me in my sound and looping journeys. I love what L6 did with the DL4 mkII and glad you're having fun with it too!
@@AmbientEndeavors the DD-20 was on my first board all the way till now! I’m definitely impressed with the DL4 MK2 and how simple it is to use (absolutely awful at understanding how to set up delays) I’m trying to incorporate it fully into my setup but am definitely struggling 😂
I too would love to check this out! I’m the head sound guy at our church and would love to listen and maybe hear how that stereo setup is used that you talked about and overall playing. Have always loved your chan bro, glad you finally did this feature on the entire board!
aw thanks very much! Currently enjoying Equator Guatemala El Injerto roast - it's delicious! I'll drop a link and code in the bio - they hook you up with 15% off your coffee order if you're wanting to try some :D
Really love your board your playing(style). Silly question, but are the delay settings on the Brigadier a secret. Trying to mimic it with other delays to come close to this sound. I absolutely adore it.
Great board and love your playing. I’ve been eye’ing the Squish As. Could I ask what you had before and why you replaced it with the Squish As? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Good question. It's admittedly a spot where I've had a few different pedals; recently the Homenoise more or less ( a fine-tuning EQ type pedal ) a Benson Germanium Boost , 29Pedals EUNA...all great options for different reasons. I chose the Squish As because it really does help kind of glue everything together, add a bit of compression (not much) and also EQ and level control when needed. I found it kind of gave me the best of all worlds, without sacrificing much in any direction. So I kind of use it as part subtle compressor, part EQ, and part "preamp".
I am looking to get the squish as and already have the euna 29, is there a case to use them both at the beginning of my board or just use one or the other??
Nice setup man. I have been eyeing compressors and the Squish as is a top contender. I also us a Volante, love it. I have the HX Stomp XL also. It would have been awesome if the HX one had amp sims, but thats not the point of the pedal, and it seems pretty nice anyway.
thanks man! Volante is just so fun. I can't escape that pedal. And yeah, you can't give away the whole loot haha. I am holding out hope that an HX AMPS unit is forthcoming...would be cool to have a similar form pedal that just has all the amps in the HX collection
@@AmbientEndeavors Yep, the Volante has reached "locked in for life" status on my board, that and my Deco v2, Morning Glory and Halberd. I mean I know we are never done....but I am pretty close to be satisfied for a long time.
I love it! It’s super useful in my rig and having every L6 effect at hand is super convenient. I always use amps live so I don’t miss the amp models. Big fan.
It's been over a year i guess since I've been your sub, and I've been fancying some of the stuff that you've put up. Recently I've been trying to build a pedalboard for Church with a Klon style pedal, an OD, a Trem, MXR CC Deluxe, Benson Delay, UA Golden and a RV 200 (thinking bout it after watching your recent indepth review). Any thoughts bout this rig? Also, it'd be very kind of you if you could suggest a good harmonic trem (Other than supro). Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching! Thoughts: MXR CC & Benson Delay might feel quite similar tonally. Might swap one for a digital sound or tape sound or a looper/granular type sound. Those 2 reverbs might also feel like overkill (especially if you utilize a variety of the RV200 sounds). Otherwise that’s the makings of a solid board! I like the Jam Pedals Harmonious Monk mkII a lot too. Or could go Flint and then you get the reverb built in if needed.
Also, as you mentioned, you're right, Benson is quite similar to CC in producing that bbd analog tone, so a Starlight or DD500 would be a good option in swapping one of the two. Thanks once again! 😊
Also, if you’re on a budget, I have the JHS Harmonic Trem from their 3 Series and it does a great job. Not as many tweakable parameters as with something like the Delta II from Spaceman Effects, but still sounds great.
@@MickeyDs14 Oh Ok! Thanks a lot man, will definitely check it! Yea, the simple a trem the better, was looking at the Gravitas but then because of lots of knobs didn't look at it any further.
Hello everyone, I just want to ask since everyone are using HX one pedal. Anyway, I just got my new line 6 HX one yesterday. I need some advice . I can't figure it out from the manual. How do i access my hx one 128 preset. On the screen It shows here 4 preset only. Every time i both press ON button and tap/flux button. it doesn't come out the built-in 128 presets. Only 4 preset shows, thanks

Thanks for watching! It was a fun one to (finally) shoot
Appreciate the walk through, very nice rig!
Thanks for watching! It’s served me well for a good while now, thought it was time for a dedicated video.
Great vid. Link for the replacement knobs on that brigadier?
Is there a live stream I can hear you play at church? I’ve been following your channel for a while and also play at church.
I'll drop a link in the description. We put a lot of effort into our live sound but very little into our live streams ha, so be warned ;)

The real question is, what kinda coffee are you drinking?

For the Mercury7, Is it me, or is there no difference between the two extreme settings for pre-delay?
Hm, id have to investigate. I haven’t messed with the secondary features much lately!
