Nice board! I like how you're switching banks. I use to use the particle verb a lot until the dynamic hall came along. But it does take more DSP. Great approach with the delays. Interesting how you put an EQ between the amp and cab.
Love this small board and the tones you get out of the HxStomp. It really challenges me and my phosophie on how needed I've felt analog pedals to be for a truly good tone. You got a new follower here ✋🏼
Hi! How did you plugged both expression pedal and a 2 button control switch at the same time without midi ? I thought it was imposible with the simple TRS input of the HX stomp
Looks as though the Dunlop pedal is only functioning as a volume pedal. However, I know the DL4 Mkii can run a single foot switch and expression with a splitter. So I’m sure the stomp could too.
great job with the video and your pedalboard setup! I run a very similar setup with a small board built around the HX Stomp :) On your stereo IR block, do you put a small delay on one of the IR cabs to get more stereo spread or to avoid phasing issues?
Love the board! Great tones. I'm running a similar setup. Do you set your input at inst or line level? I have mine at line but I have to max out the channel drive on my stereo amps to get them to edge of breakup.
I have a similar setup with the stomp, morning glory, and kilt but your tones sounds so much better haha. What’s your favorite/go-to reverb in the stomp?
is there something different about incorporating real pedals into a multifx unit. cause im torn between getting pedals or either getting a stomp. How come you dont use the drives that are built in the stomp. just not your cup of tea? thank you so much!!! great video!
Hey man! I think for me, these pedals have a very specific sound. But the main reason I have analog pedals is how easy it is to change settings + it frees up space on my Stomp so I can use high DSP wet effects.
Your wet effects are after the amps. Is it a personal preference? Have you considered putting them before? Can I know why? Your response means a lot to me.
Hey man! Yeah, personal preference. I find that it sounds cleaner and get a clearer "dry" sound before the wets. The only thing I do like, is putting my chorus effect before everything.
@@emiliojvr Before, I've been putting my wets before my amp sims and spent a lot of time doing some research why am not able to get a pingpong sound and then found out that putting the wets before translates the signal into mono. I watched this video several times and a shame that I just noticed that your wets are before the IR blocks. Now, I have my wets after the amp but before the cabs and I won't look back.
hey man, i love the playing. I was wondering what mods you did to your Gretsch G5425. I have it myself, and am looking for an upgrade of an already pretty great guitar
It's a great guitar bro! The size is perfect, and playability was great off the bat. - Replaced the wiring with some old Gibson stuff my guitar tech had laying around. - Replaced the stock capacitors for .022 to allow more clarity, it also keeps the bass but allows more treble in. - Replaced the stock pickups for some Blacktop Filtertrons (balanced them and setup the height) - And of course gave it a good setup. It's fast, bassy and BRIGHT. OH MY it can be bright.
I loved dialing in your tones on my HX Stomp. I also have a Morning Glory so it was easy to dial it in. One question: how do you use the compressor? Is it always on or just used in certain situations?
Hey! It depends on the IRS... I think a the once I picked out sounded more "open" that way. It also made the amp a little more unpredictable, similar to the real thing!
I just have this question in my mind whilst watching this video. Those tones, are those what you are using everytime and just kinda tweak the delay, reverb and OD gains depending on the song?
Great question!! I never tweak my wet effects. I might close the “CUT” on the amps just a little if I’m playing a single coil guitar. But it everything else stays the same.
@@emiliojvr If you don't mind, I have another question. The Kilt, Rat and Morning Glory, are those your only drives? You're not using another drive from the stomp?
@@kevinsalas2716 Yeah! That's it. What I do I just stack them if I really need to cut through the mix. All of these have a similar clipping, so the complement each other. Also, if I need a fuzz tone I just run my RAT hotter.
Loving the tone and guitar playing Emilio. Thanks for making this Video
Thanks man!!
Nice board and great layout. Not overly packed to the point that it’ll be a bit difficult to hit the buttons. Excellent choice of pedals too
Thanks man! Yeah it’s nice and light too. I can’t imagine carrying a big massive board around
Song title: A Little Fire - Victory Worship
Cuando vuelves a sacar otro vídeo? El Black Rat como suena? Saludos desde España.
This is awesome!! I was just looking at your board on Facebook and I fell in love with your tones!! Keep up the good work loving these videos!!
This means so much man! Thanks a lot. Seriously!
Great video Emilio, thanks for openly showing your settings too! keep making more videos!
Thank you so much man!! This means alot
Woah! Great tone and love the functionality of it. Definitely made the most of that board🔥
I think this is my next board too
Great sound
Love the board
Sounds amazing. Super nice playing.
Thanks bro! I made a ton of mistake. But it’s all good 😂
Killer chops bro
Are you running these into the input the effects loop? Great video man
Nice board! I like how you're switching banks. I use to use the particle verb a lot until the dynamic hall came along. But it does take more DSP. Great approach with the delays. Interesting how you put an EQ between the amp and cab.
Thanks man! I really don't use that EQ anymore. But it was nice for a while lol
Great tone, your board inspires me to set up mine!!!
Hey Emilio, great tone. Do you have a patch for your HX Stomp that is downloadable?
already a fan here

Nice Board and Nice Tone!
Tone is 🔥 Nice work!

because he’s using it as a volume and plug it in into de fx loop with all the pedals
Great tones and board! Well done, young Jedi🫡🚀
very good! how to limit the use of remote banks?
Hey! What do you mean? How I have my banks setup?
in HX, how are you configured to climb the banks and return to the start?
@@emanuelkleber You have to go to "COMMAND CENTER" and from there you can assign different tasks to the foot switches.
@@emiliojvr Yes! I use the command center to configure snapshots. Thank you very much bro, make more videos

particle verb is underrated! Used it a lot with my good ole Line 6 M9

thats a really nice board right there!

I did have a delay at first, but It was drowning me in the mix when I played live. So now I just spread the IRs left and right.
And small Stomp boards are the best haha
What power supply are you using that will run the HX Stomp?
Need help on mine so far I have helix line 6 floor and H-90 I had the tonex but for some strange reason I sent it back
Super nice, which guitarists make up your most significant influences?
Man… that’s the hardest question. I love people like SRV, to salsa players, all the way to worship guitar players. Too many to count 😂.
Awesome hahaha

Great video, emilio! How do you control ur overall volume if ur ch volume is max and ur master @ 8.2?
Well done! Lots of great tone from such a small board. Do you ever help folks out who are trying to dial in their tones who aren’t as experienced?

@rianelliot1 Can you send direct messages through here? Lol
I have a similar setup with the stomp, morning glory, and kilt but your tones sounds so much better haha. What’s your favorite/go-to reverb in the stomp?
Yeah, those are my favorite pedals ever. It's the sounds I hear in my head.
For dryer tones: Dynamic Room
Worship Tones: Glitz + Particle

Are you able to build a sound like the one in Praise by Elvation worship with that pedalboard?
Awesome video btw 🎉
I usually just use a chorus effect for that

Are you using a split signal for LR out of the headphone output for recording/ foh?
So what are your stages of overdrive. Is it Mg stage 1, Kilt Stage 2, and then do you stack them? Thanks!
I go heavy to light gain. Rat > Kilt > MG.

How many presets are you running, what sort of switching have you enabled for the drive pedals or are these purely analog tap dancing to engage ?

How did you make the switch cycle through 3 banks on the stomp?
