Disagree with Opta's model 73.64 pt's is a little low i believe we will be around the low 80 point mark (not enough to get above Liverpool), the Opta model would have us declining in the 2nd half of the season and i only see us improving over the course of the season not declining.
Opta uses Bayesian statistics (I think), so it's influenced not only by this season's results but also recent years. The reason it has us at 73.6 is that at the start of the year it had us in the 60s... so 73.6 is a significant upgrade. As we continue to perform well it'll continue to upgrade its forecast and if we drop off it'll downgrade it.
That stat is wrong. I saw it as well, when you google it, that only Man United have won the league with less than 80 points. But Arsenal also won the league win 78 points in 97/98. So there are in fact 3 teams to win the league with less than 80.
No mention of the fixture difficulty. Think Chelsea have had atleast till 4 games ago one of the most difficult fixtures. With the next seven games maximum points and we get to see a proper title challenge.
Yeah if we win the next 7 pl games and switch the gk and get a CB, then maybe there could be a title challenge. Otherwise, we just can't challenge with that gk and those CBs
Chelsea are best placed to win the league this year, we have an amazing pool of players , the B side is smashing the Conference League and the first team are rested without injuries and enjoying their football , they are under no pressure. In contrast Liverpool Arsenal and City are breaking their balls in Europe and the league and the stress will so be taking its toll once the injuries and suspension start kicking in. The Chelsea manager is a genius in not applying the pressure of expectation.

What people seem to be forgetting is that Chelsea are only getting better and Marescas systems only just started to come in to play and yield results. The players are finally starting to come together and the chemistry is there. These players will take this season with the intensity and performance right to the final day. We have two full starting 11s to balance European and domestic competitions whereas Liverpool as usual will have a noticeable fall off during afcon with Salah missing as well as injuries and increased fixture burden with European competitions heating up. Chelsea are the long-term competitors here whether it be this season next season or the season after they will win the Premier League before other clubs start to catch up with the new modern model of more players, younger players and rotating teams for different competitions.

Just to be clear, while Lavia did get hit in the head Maresca said the sub was for tactical reasons and not because he was injured. Apparently Lavia is fine.
Tosin is just a few weeks older than Nkunku, they both turned 27 this fall and won’t be 28 til next season. The squad is extremely young when those are your elder statesmen lol
But now I think a lot of the 2nd team players are making inroads in the 1st team as well . As we saw against Southampton where we dominated with most of the 2nd team. And players like Felix, mudryk are more than ready now to contribute equally for the first team as well, thus I do believe we will still be able to rotate quite well next season as well even if we play in the champions league.
I feel like a few non-statistical reasons should be considered more often. If you look at the table, we’ve actually had the most difficult start to the season. Also, we’ve had this start with a brand new manager implementing a completely different style of play and training regimen. We’re about to go on an easier run of games and we’ll be much better when the difficult games come again.
We're not quite there. Obviously need a solid centre back and goalkeeper which has been obvious. I'm just going game by game. Just hope the form continues as long as possible
I hope i am not jumping the gun here but this season chelsea have a great chance for the title if (something tells me that they secretly are going to) push and test liverpool. It depends on liverpool's mentality and fitness toward second half of season. Mark my words next season and the seasons to come, i have no doubt chelsea will dominate domestically and in europe if they get rid of dead wood. Imagine Estevao, Paez, Santos. Jorgensen is good enough to be starting, pending sanchez getting suspended for a match. Add one confortable rcb (van hecke from brighton) and we are set. Mareska is also turning from a mere coach to a manager.
What isnthis big analysis about chelsea are just on target for Top 4 when u couple that with the stagnation of Arsenal abd the Meltdown of City it looks like we are punching above are weight . When it comes to chelsea defensively, ive noticed that no one ever talks about how many goals we’ve actually conceded because it blows the narrative apart. Its always “expected” stats. Why dont you mention that only 2 teams have conceded less goals than us?
We chelsea supporters have gone through enough disappointment the past couple years. If people wanna put us in the title conversation, great, but after 2 years of being excluded from the Champions League, top 4 is genuinely the only goal we NEED to achieve. Anything less than that is absolutely a failure, but i dont want to hear people trying to convince us that not winning the premier league in our first season under our coach with a bunch of kids is somehow some colossal failure.
Manager says we're not in title race, players say we're not in title race, fans say we're not in title race. Athletic: "How real is Chelsea's title challenge". Hmm
You lot are funny. I'm a Chelsea fan, and i can tell you we're definitely in a title race though I predicted we'd finish in top 4. Tosin is just a few weeks older than Nkunku, they both turned 27 this fall and won’t be 28 til next season. The squad is extremely young when those are your elder statesmen lol
That gk spot is what is gonna cost us the league , we send our best gk on loan and put Sanchez as n1.
Ask Petrovic to do what Sanchez is asked to do in build up and he will make even more mistakes.
8:31 I like to know the position of the overhead camera that able to not be blocked by his head lol
Where are JJ’s sweaters coming from? Those are fantastic!
Loving that CFS mexico jumper
I’ll be happy with second this season and a few trophies we need a decent defender and world class keeper to challenge next season
TIFOOO SQUAAD ASSEMBLE!
We are not in a tittle race, we just want 3 points every single game
That's just all we need.
Thought it was cool when the editor inverted the picture lol
Please who have an idea what the name of the screen and pan presentation monitor they are using?
What isnthis big analysis about chelsea are just on target for Top 4 when u couple that with the stagnation of Arsenal abd the Meltdown of City it looks like we are punching above are weight . I believe all this will calm down as the season plays out then we will c if chelsra hav added longevity to the CV
When it comes to chelsea defensively, ive noticed that no one ever talks about how many goals we’ve actually conceded because it blows the narrative apart. Its always “expected” stats. Why dont you mention that only 2 teams have conceded less goals than us?
Doing well but yeah not ready to win anything but getting CL would be a great improvement.
We are a young horse that needs to grow till we are capable of a title race. Rn we just need to focus on the next game and the 3 points.
"If they were all Pokemon, they would be the maximum in their second evolution phase."
"Hmm."
We chelsea supporters have gone through enough disappointment the past couple years. If people wanna put us in the title conversation, great, but after 2 years of being excluded from the Champions League, top 4 is genuinely the only goal we NEED to achieve. Anything less than that is absolutely a failure, but i dont want to hear people trying to convince us that not winning the premier league in our first season under our coach with a bunch of kids is somehow some colossal failure.
calma, we just want our 3 points and to keep it moving to the next game
We're not ready for a title challenge it's just that simple tbh and it's fine
The trinity always cooking
Manager says we're not in title race, players say we're not in title race, fans say we're not in title race.
Athletic: "How real is Chelsea's title challenge".
Hmm
As a Chelsea fan i am confident we will win nothing with the keeper we have at the minute.
Everyone keeps saying we have a bad defense when we have conceded the 3rd least amount of goals only Liverpool and Arsenal have conceded less
love them changing cameras just to show them nodding, so funny
You lot are funny. I'm a Chelsea fan, and i can tell you we're definitely in a title race though I predicted we'd finish in top 4. Chelsea has been underrated throughout our history, and very rarely ever are we favourites to win anything but we've won a lot of trophies against the odds. Think about our last Champions League and PL titles. Nobody expected either Tuchel nor Conte to win the year that they did.
Only 2 teams have conceded fewer goals than Chelsea!
These guys are more factual than Carragher and Neville... Those two are clowns backing their own teams
It’s too early to predict the title race. Injuries and fatigue play a massive part.
Not this year we aren't balanced and we need 1 year with champions league football before we can genuinely win it so a minimum of 2 seasons
Maresca, in his debut season, is delivering a more compelling title challenge than someone still "trusting the process" in their fifth year?
Rent free
@@Flash4ML saying "rEnT fRee" to a comment from your rival team while your own fanbase took every opportunity to mention the name of Chelsea in the past 2 years while chanting the London is red is a pretty good comeback. Keep it up lad good team you've got, trust the process Surely
We will see where we are at towards the end. For now we just want 3 points.
For Chelsea to even be in this conversation says it all.
We're not in the title race.
We're just chill guys enjoying our football. At this point we're just looking forward to securing 40 points to not get relegated
They’re unreal tbf to them
Speaking of shape, why is nobody talking about the balance of your set??
Please add english subtitles to your videos!
Your stats dont take into account chelseas clear improvement game by game and also their decent run of games. Chelsea have the 3rd best goals conceded and have scored the most and have played all of the top 6. Sometimes your stats get to complex. Like maresca keep it simple😂
A group of fantasy football managers, nice 👍🏾
9:20, 443 in possesesion😆
EPL is more drama than football
I like the pokemon reference
What happened to the Ange episode?
