@SKa-tt9nm Van Dijk was Southampton's player of the season in his first year there and Scottish Premiership PFA a couple of times. The major problems is the inconsistency and also that they do not have 1-2 world class players that can lead the team.

Two problems in our Spurs team: experience and mentality. They’re not performing consistently; better against big teams than small, which suggests a lack of concentration in some games and an unwillingness to run. This team needs more experience either through time or incoming transfers. Same potentially with mentality. Only then will Angeball work properly. When they show intensity every game and know it well enough to problem solve for themselves.
If you watch them play out of the back for example, it looks like they drill that stuff heavily. And the game looks like a drill too. Even if they do lose possession in those positions 1 out of 5 times, that number goes down the more practice they have. It seems clear that Ange wants to train them to be mentally comfortable under pressure. Pragmatism is great for the big must-win games but if that’s all you ever do, you never operate under real pressure. Trust the process❤

And also another established player under Ange is Maddison. Didn't mention him.
The Levy Haters will hate you pointing out that Spurs are the 6th highest payers in the Prem. They think it’s around 10th! That said, we are now the Best Off The Ball with the pressing and 2nd XG For and 4th XG against. Spurs just need to stay fit and convert their chances and they will challenge.
58 games is absolutely no time at all in football and that's all Ange has had with what is now one of the youngest and newly assembled squads in the league. I'm reserving my judgement until we've had at least 100 games with the coach and had a few summers to develop the squad. All the signs are there that we can be a great team, but there's still holes in the squad which are disrupting our seasons under Ange.
They really just forgot about Maddison entirely when talking about players they bought to improve the team now. Also, he's from before Ange but Bissouma is another fairly new experienced first team player and they brought in Werner to deepen the squad with experience. Also, Vicario is in his late 20's but maybe it's different for GKs. I think Ange missed a trick over the summer not signing ‘big lad’ wing backs, or at least players with the versatility to play at both centre back, fullback and as a deep lying midfielder. It worked a treat against City last year when he played Van de Ven at left back. Lloyd Kelly would have been perfect for this team, for example
Don't think it was Ange's decision tbh. Looks like he doesn't have much input in the transfers compared to his previous jobs. For example at Celtic he was without a director of football or technical director and was just having to come up with players to buy by himself, and he supplied the likes of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Kyogo Furuhashi who are all still first team players who were bought for a combined £7m roughly. He also brought in in his first window the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, the most important player at the club still, Jota, who was sold for a club record equaling fee, and Matt O'Riley who was then sold and broke that fee further. That was all inside his first 6/7 months at the club.

My weekly medicine, thanks!
Hugo also stayed in the middle of the goal on that Bruno Fernande's penalty (who never shoots pens centrally). So this statement from Hugo was not nice either. Why did you run towards Trippier on that own goal, making the angle small for him??!?!? Hugo we could make hundred claims about your idiotic actions.
Releasing this on the same day as the game against City. They clearly assumed Spurs would lose.
If it wasn't for the numerous poor decisions the board havd made , we would definitely be further along. It's not entirely their fault but the footballing decisions over the years have been dreadful.
6th on the table now, bound to lose to a relegation side in the near future
Who’s watching this AFTER Spurs thumped City 4~0? How much does that change this conversation?

Cough cough cough cough I cough four times…
This title has aged... poorly
Oh Jack you're spot on, that Liverpool were transformed by identifying the keeper and CB as priority positions to strengthen and duly paid £140m for van Dijk and Alisson but they were able to do that bc they held out for months to get the bedt price for Coutinho, before before duly getting ... £140m from Barca. Spurs got £100m for Kane and Levy did what he ajways does, he focused on buying with resale profit in mind, Gray and Bergvall plus a dud keeper!
4:12 Not sure Leicester should be getting away with playing all toddlers
They are better.
4:12 damn i didn’t know leicester had a team of toddlers 😂
here after 4-0 to City
I mean they should be ready to whoop city by 4 goals by now, right?
Maybe no trophies yet, but whooping city by 4 in front of both of their home fans gets a participation one for sure
Why does he randomly group the top 9 together, there's a 2 million quid difference between City and West Ham! Spurs are closer to bottom than top in financial terms
Whoever wrote that latin gag deserves a raise
Whatever's stopping us, it's certainly not Manchester.
joe devine one of the funniest around

Respect to the G-Shock!
His system uses fast agile fullbacks that need to go all day. Bigger men struggle to last 90 minutes at full speed.

He has said repeatedly that he gets the final decision on all transfers.
Amorim, that you? 👆
20:40 we bought ben white at 23, thats potential mate
My ears pricked up at that point too 😂
Ben White was an established PL quality defender, and went for 50 million. Hardly potential.
@@corroded lmaooooooooo. Ben white was a 23 year old Center back with one year experience in the premier league when we signed him
He had been playing in the championship before then
Stop lying mate
@@corroded wrong
@@anjolatope-babalola2338 50m defenders are 'potential' now rofl, behave. He played 3200 minutes over 36 appearances for a team that finished in the top half of the table.
White is the 10th most expensive Premier League defender, ever. You don't sign players like that because you think they might be good. You know they are good and White was a known quality.
T.E.S.S, great argument mate. Well reasoned.
