@Yummy-r1b It's one thing knowing what a team will do, and it's another thing knowing how to stop them. Liverpool fanatics will deny how close Chelsea are to their team.
100% agree...we watched robben over the years to the exact same thing game after game for years and he was lethal and opponents knew but just very difficult to negate 🤷🏿♂️@HabitualLine-Stepper
If you guys think Maresca is exposing stuff that isn’t already known to other premier league teams you’re extremely naive. Teams nowadays have so much data/watch so many videos of their opponents they literally know everything. It’s one thing to know, it’s another thing to stop it.
and not only that but Maresca is already talking about how he wants his Chelsea team to evolve, with Felix and Palmer both playing as 10's behind Jackson. Maresca isnt a one trick pony, he has many different ways to set his team up to win.
Big teams will like to be aggressive, what I like about this Chelsea team is that the players are very confident on the ball and they trust that even in great pressure situations, they will come big, none doubts Maresca...i love that about this team, know the tactics or not, it's the irst touches, turns and positioning that makes the differnece in such games. Against Liverpool, I guess they knew after the first 15-20 mins, but trying t adjust was difficult, even at half time, they couldn't, they resulted to dropping back and pinning balls to Salah, what excited me when watching Maresca was how he tweaked to bring on a more physical Viega to adapt to what Salah and Liverpool were doing...Maresca can adapt in-game, and he is so good and making twitches in matches...He's a good coach, part of the treble at City, maybe he learnt a lot from Pep, but he also carries his own ideas. Great coach.
Young players thrive on this...a consistent way of playing they can latch onto. If they ever tried to play pragmatic like a Mourinho side they would fall apart because the experience isn't there...
Enzo is the right sort of personality we needed. I hope the new talent coming through from South America and the academy are imbedded into the team… the future is bright, the future is blue 💙
Pochettino took 30 league games to figure out Conor Gallagher isn't a #10, that Fernandez and Caicedo doesn't work, that Cucurella can step in to midfield. The end of last season was like washing down a bad meal with a nice glass of water.
Enzo is not exposing his tactics,I think it will rather make teams adopt to our play, and he has the plan to counter them which he is not talking about it.
Exactly. The one who is confident to speak openly is wise enough to know the solution. Every time Enzo speaks tactics he is very pure & clear, it’s very enjoyable to listen to as a fan.
To be fair, other than City and Liverpool, Chelsea do have a pedigree of winning it in recent years with Conte and Mourinho. For all of Arsenal's good work over the last 5 five seasons, its still been 20 years since they've last won it. Sure this is a new Chelsea hierarchy without that foundation, however, Maresca's Championship-winning season and tutelage under Pep in City's best ever season should not be sneered at. That experience is invaluable to a budding tactician in Pep's ilk. He knows how long the gruelling struggle and slug the campaign is hence his commitment to two squads, which is another feather in our cap, our squad depth. Maresca's job now is keeping everyone focused and hungry. We just need to show that nuance and savvy to consistently compete with established top 4 contenders and beat the rest.
I think Maresca and Pep are very similar in the way that they are extremely detail oriented. But tactic wise, I think they're very different. One of the biggest criticism from Leicester fans from last season was that he was very tactically rigid, but this season he has been anything but that. He seems to find solutions tailored to his team and his opponents. Maybe last year, he didn't have the squad to be so flexible with his tactics. My God, we sure have a great manager and a fantastic squad. Sure we need some ironing out to do, but for the first time in a long time I feel confident that we can return to where we belong: at the top echelons of world football.
@@shafquattanvirulislam8939 Agreed on Maresca's coaching style. From what he says in these breakdowns, it seems that his tactics revolve around the capability of the players, rather than getting the players to adhere to a tactic. e.g. He says his full backs can push forward into the pockets because they have two midfielders who can play in the holding position (and of course full backs who can push forward and occupy space). It wasn't because he wanted the full back to go forward for the sake of going forward, but because they are able to make something of it. Yes, he's detail orientated, but Maresca seems like he is player-driven, rather than style-driven, which actually seems perfect for Chelsea based on how they have recruited and drafted player contracts.
Every team knows every other team's tactics, it's about making the right adjustments throughout the game that will make the difference. It won't make a difference whether opponents know Maresca's tactics or not if Maresca can make the righr adjustments to win the games.
Top Top interview obviously as a biased CFC fan. He's just given out the leakage though 😅. Win Lose or Draw this season I'm enjoying watching our team that's the biggest compliment I can give Enzo. Exciting times, MarescaBall😝😝
Besides tactics, Enzo is a great coach in terms of managing the player psyche. He shows support and encouragement, and also leads by example in terms of being modest and down to earth. Perfect fit for leading this young Chelsea squad
We have few professionals like this guy who can explain what he is a master of, so clear and precisely. Enzo Maresca, 'A Master of the Modern Day Football.'
From, “their owners don’t know what they’re doing, they’ve destroyed the club, they’re just buying anything, where is Felix going to play, why are they buying younger players, they’ve sold their best players(Kai and Mount), Caicedo is a flop, Maresca is a Championship manager” guess what, we’re above title contenders Arsenal and 4 points behind Treble winners, I think we’re going in the right direction.
A ruthless, wise man .Just what we needed at cfc to deal with these youngsters .The owners got it right here ,now they must back his judgement on who stays and who goes .

I don't like the idea of bringing a coach to talk about their tactics openly. That is suppose to be a private affair. The only consolation here is the fact that tactics is dynamic and not fixed.
This suad is full of personalities and fun person to be around, they deserve to win Premiere League and Champions league with Chelsea...Cucu and Neto have become my fav chelsea player due to their Passion ON and OFF the pitch( Yes there are Jackson and palmer Caicedo but these two and Gusto gives their all).
