    Best cocktail videos on UA-cam, love the history and backstory of each of these, do you own a bar? I’d travel to go there if you did!

    Well damned. I clicked on the video because I have a bottle of gin I need to finish, but I stayed for the great video editing, the amazing narrating (that voice btw) and the nice music.

    I will try it, cause I love Gin... And I like how you presented it... With that lovely music.

    Absolutely fantastic. I add a splash of Grand Mariner to mine and garnish with a lemon twist. It gives it that depth without the having to peel another fruit.

      +smashedsaturn Oooh. That's getting into White Lady territory. The Bee's Lady, maybe? I'll have to give it a whirl. Cheers!

    Finally had the chance to make this. Waited until I was able to find the same navy strength gin you used. It was fucking amazing. Goes very easy

    can't wait to make this one at the home bar! probably have to stick with the lemon peel in mine.

      +Whisky Daddy For sure. It's the way everyone else makes it. I just happen to like the 12BB method the best (even though it's not how it's traditionally made). Hope you dig it. Let me know what you think after you try it. Cheers!

    Hey there mate, came back from disneyland Paris, yesterday and we had a nice twist on this one in our Hotel, it is calld "to bee or not to bee" made from Mezcal, honey syrup, pear juice and a sekwer of pear slice for garnish, tasted suprisingly good (suprisingly because of the lots of sweet from honey and juice a supposed but turned out really great)

    • @DistinguishedSpirits
      @DistinguishedSpirits  5 років тому

      Oooh. Sounds good. Lemon juice?

    • @goesman81
      @goesman81 5 років тому

      I Am honest , I think it was lime but the ingredients where quoted in French in the menue and my French is lacking at its best

    • @DistinguishedSpirits
      @DistinguishedSpirits  5 років тому

      Haha. Better than me. I know "oui" and that's about it.
      Lime would probably pair better. But I probably would've said that about the Bee's Knees too if I'd never tried it because gin and lime go so well together.

    Stumbled across this video while looking something else. I made a couple for my wife and myself. DAMN! They're delicious. Simple to make (especially as I already had a bottle of homemade honey syrup from my Tike explorations), but tastes sophisticated and downright delicious.

      Awesome! Glad you liked it so well. That orange twist makes for a wonderful and surprising introduction when you bring the drink to your lips.

    How about a homemade gin made by steeping juniper an spices in vodka. This would be more like the bathtub gins of the era.

    • @DistinguishedSpirits
      @DistinguishedSpirits  6 років тому

      Perhaps, but there are too many good gins that are readily available out there to do all that. Besides, the nasty spirits that were being distilled by amateurs would not be as good or refined as any vodka you could find.

    For 99% of people making drinks at home, doesn't it make more sense to chill glasses in the freezer than with a soon to be discarded glass of ice and water?
