Humans dont get evolution trees period. Wasps get just a bit thicker when they evolve. Spiders get to evolve into masters of dark magic and attain immortality. I sense some favoritism from this world for arachnids.
The reason she got immortality is because she was supposed to die when she got the rot ability. the rot killed every single spider that evolved in that species since it kills even the user when used.
My thought was that other species do have more complicated evolution trees, but since they usually aren’t sapient they don’t come up with the same complicated strategies to exploit them that Kumoko does, and thus never get the same game-breaking abilities. The fact that dragons don’t get more than what they’ve been shown despite being sapient does make me question my own reasoning, but apparently Admin D hates dragons, so she might’ve nerfed them on purpose.

Every single Taratect that wasn’t Kumoko died when they chose to evolve into a Zoa Ele instead of a Greater Taratect because they immediately used the rot attacks. Chances are the Finjicotes (wasps) also have some OP crazy evolutionary branch that we never see because no sapient being has ever been born a Finjicote, and thus nobody can tiptoe around whatever caveats come with picking a crazy Finjicote evo.
