This link doesn't work
This link takes me to a blood glucose test strip.
@@ellennovicky8689me too, glucose strips, how weird eh?
Thanks so much. I was 'gifted' a difficult hand appliqued quilt project by my 93 old Aunt June and the Sear and Roebucks pattern calls for a scalloped edge. I told her I was not going to do the fancy binding, but now I think I will This quilt has been unfinished for over 50 years and I just want to do it for her!
That’s the easiest method I’ve ever seen! Thanks!
Long time quilter but I'd never made a scalloped quilt before. All the other videos showed a method that required me to buy a $25+ acrylic ruler, and I was thinking how our grandmothers didn't have that ruler and they somehow figured it out! Then I found this video. This absolutely worked and didn't cost me anything! I used an 11" round serving plate I had and cardstock paper. My quilt came out beautifully and the scallops are very even. Tip-I used painters tape (low-tack) to stick the templates to my quilt instead of pins, and also taped all the templates together, so after I marked one side I could just move that row of templates to another side, line it up, and mark it without having to lay them all out and measure again. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for this great video!!!
Great idea!
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy: thank you so much!
Wow, I am self taught too. I love your method.
Love the tip on double sided tape!
Thankyou so much!!! So easy!!!❤

I'm relatively new to quilting. I finished my first fully quilted one on Father's day. I'm now on my second one, maple leaf pattern, and wanted to do a scalloped edge. This video was sooooo helpful. Thank you for that.
I'm so excited to make a small quilt and try your technique for a scalloped edge! Yes, I did subscribe because of this video.
Ok!!! You have motivated me (…🤔your shirt does say “motivator”) to try this method. I’m going to make my granddaughter a scalloped border quilt. So excited!!! Thanks for the inspiration!

Game changer!
I just found this video- thank you!
Great job, looks straight forward. Thank you
Greetings from Greendale, WI. This was awesome. I have been sewing since I was 5 years old, but never made a scalloped edge quilt. They are hard to find at the local stores or online for twin size beds for a reasonable price especially in colors that my 5 and 3 year olds would love. Crafts it is in that case. Learned some neat new tricks. Thanks!
Amazing tutorial and fabulous video and helpful information thanks for sharing your beautiful ideas
This is a great video - thank you! It's so helpful to have a tutorial on scalloped edges that doesn't require a ruler, which is exactly what I was looking for. Your quilt is just beautiful

I decided to add a scalloped edge to me sister's quilt, and while math is not an issue, I like you method much better. Thank you!
Genius!
This is a very unique way to make scallops. It’s a good way.
I never have made a scolloped quilt yet, but I have wanted to for quite some time. I even bought the special ruler from Quilt In A Day. Then one day (can’t even remember where) I stumbled on this eureka 💡 moment, where someone showed or explained how the early quilters did it. No special rulers, no special math. I was floored!
All they did was cut a piece of paper the length of the border. Folded it in half, then again and again, until it was about the size of the scollop they were looking for. While it was folded up, they cut a curved scallop on one edge. (You cd trace something, here.) then unfolded it and pinned & traced onto the border.
Instant, custom sized scollops for your border! Slap to the forehead moment! Why didn’t I think of that? So simple. So genius. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No rulers needed LOL😂 They made some amazing stuff without the use of all these new tools back in the day✅
I am a super new quilter in fact I am just now finishing my very first quilt and I am self taught so I am pretty prou of myself and how it's turning out and I am loving the scalloped binding. Thank you again for your great videos I appreciate you very much. Sondra

I am kind of new to quilting. Your scalloped border method has me Intrigued! I purchased some beautiful floral fabrics to make myself a quilt. All the ones I have made so far were gifted.
*_You can do it! The method is super easy.....take your time with sewing on of the binding and it will all work out✅_*
I first noticed your quilt with the beautiful flower blocks. Then saw you had created this beautiful border. I have to try it for myself. I already do have the floral fabrics but do not know how you made your blocks. I sure am going to try.
Thank you. I am pretty excited to get started!
*_I arranged my blocks in random order with a scrappy type "log cabin" piecing. There was no rhyme or reason to it._*
